You can never go wrong with The Baked Bear. Highly customizable and their cookies are nice. You can warm press them too, which is a great option for the double cookie ice cream sandwich.

I have a lot to be grateful for! I have a big year ahead of me, and although I should be in the gym preparing for a HUGE 2027, I'm in these DMV streets being a BIG BACK. I'm choosing peace. I'm choosing joy. I'm choosing vibes. I'm choosing snacks. While back on the dating scene, I literally have one rule: pick me up/send me an Uber and I'll go wherever with you. I'm in my YES phase right now. YES to every invite! No dietary restrictions here...I'm open to all the things. Gluten? Yes. Sugar? Absolutely. Anything yummy, anything bad? Hand it over. I'm not fighting for my life in the gym yet. I was told I would be on the best date ever. Best date ever? Hmmmm. Very, very confident. I love that energy. Well, Pike & Rose is amazing. I'm late to the party, but I arrived cute, so it's fine. I'll give it to him, great date. But what made it spectacular was him introducing me to The Baked Bear. I do love nice things, roses, and gifts, but the way to my heart is SWEETS. Love me with sugar and I'm likely to like you more. This was a direct hit. A bullseye. Cupid could never. I've never been to Pike & Rose. I do not like driving, so this area has never crossed my mind. But yes, thank you for the intro. I will now be acting like this is my spot. We walked up and wow...the line was so long. There will be lines, fair warning. The neon sign was everything because I am the Cookie Monster of the DMV. If it's baked, warm, sprinkled or melts slightly when you touch it, I want it. Hand it over! Cute places to sit outside the shop! Very date‑night worthy, and lots of couples doing sweet couple things. I love... love. This was lovely to see; old couples, new couples, couples who look like they met on the walk over. Love is beautiful. Let's get into it! I did not want to do the brownie cookie sandwich, but my new big‑back friend said I could and should, so I did. Don't threaten me with a good treat. I will crumble faster than the cookie. The ice cream choices complement all things ice cream sandwich. Truly no wrong choices just great ice cream flavors for the best ice cream sandwich or bowl! This was so delicious. I'll be back...a big back, all the backs!!!

Just wow, I didn't know I needed this in my life, but I definitely do! Build your own ice cream sandwiches? Yes, please! Pick your base (cookies for a sandwich, cookie bowl, or cone), pick your ice cream (tons of yummy flavors), pick your toppings (lots of options). Thankfully we had a light lunch so we could enjoy this delicious treat! Highly recommend the brown butter apple cider donut ice cream. So creamy and delicious! The kids went crazy and we will be back when in the area. Portions are large so consider splitting for younger kids. Great service and we also enjoyed the lovely tables outside in the shade!

This was our first visit here. The staff was very helpful. There are a few seats inside. There were so many choices of cookies and brownies for the sandwiches. You can even get it in a bowl with a brownie or cookie as the based. I got a sandwich with snickdoodle and butter goes cookies and vanilla ice cream. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. My husband liked his brownie bowl also. We will he back!

Delicious cookies and ice cream!!! All the cookies look amazing, but I'm a sucker for the chocolate chips cookie bowl with 2 scoops of ice cream! They have a lot of tasty cookie and ice cream options. You can't really go wrong with anything.

The Baked Bear took your childhood snack of ice cream sandwiches and elevated it. They have an ever changing variety of cookie and ice cream selection. Full disclosure, I came because of their customer appreciation day and they were offering a free ice cream cone. I got the seasonal browned butter donut. You should always try a season flavor when offered because it may be a while before it comes back. The free cone was a cake cone but they do have waffle cones if you desire. I wasn't sure whether I would like a donut in ice cream because I don't normally like soggy dough but this turned out great. I liked the little chunks of donut! The ice cream flavor was a little plain but the ice cream was refreshing on a lovely day. Service was friendly which was great when you have so many kids who love the place. Parking on street or garage (free for the first two hours). Enjoy the ice cream and the memories of your childhood!

Solid 3.75 - the vegan gf chocolate chocolate chip cookie is excellent but the plain vegan gluten free chocolate chip cookie was OK. I LOVE that they heat the cookies. I tried the oat milk ice cream option and it was creamy and smooth. Great texture. Service was excellent and the despite being a young staff they patiently explained how the whole process worked. Clean interior as well. Small but nice when they keep the doors open. My only complaint is that for me- it just felt like sugar on sugar on sugar. Like so sweet that I couldn't taste distinct flavors. If it was less sugary it'd truly be excellent. I'd be curious to try a non-dairy flavor and see if it's more flavorful. I'd still go back !!

Staff were younger but all very friendly. We did not try the ice cream sandwiches but the milk and cookie ice cream with waffle cone was amazing. The cookies were delicious. Fan favorite was the seasonal Mexican hot chocolate and butter cake cookie.

Yelpie friend introduced me to this tasty place after an Elite event and dinner hangout. So delicious! Love that the cookies are hot. Love the flavor choices for both the cookies and the ice cream. It was so busy and no seating. Nice that they serve water free bcus it's obviously a very sweet treat. Go, enjoy!

I'm a COOKIE MONSTER!!!!! I have an unhealthy obsession with cookies. This place did not disappoint. The variety of options and the cookies I had so far were good. I ordered a dozen (variety) and have eaten 3 so far. Service: very quick, nice, and he gave me a taste of the gluten-free ice-cream. I chose to still pass on it. Ambiance was super cool with a Gen-Z tone. It's a small place and a bit challenging to find because it's in the interior part. The Ramen place is right next to it. The activity there was distracting me from finding The Baked Bear. I would go back; however knowing me, I will most likely opt for a new spot because I enjoy exploring new spots. People like this place, and I guess I agree. It is such a fun concept, but boy, if you're getting an ice cream sandwich, be ready for it. The serving size is one size only: triple extra large. It was amazing though, as I often have eyes bigger than my stomach, so I was very happy. After eating this ice cream sandwich, I was full beyond belief. You get your money's worth for sure, because this is house-made goodness and lots of it. That being said, most people will probably go and have ice cream or an ice cream sandwich or cookies as dessert after you just had dinner, so, be ready for the portion of a giant double-cookie ice cream sandwich. If you have a normal appetite, you may just want to share with someone or just order ice cream and get the cookies to go, just saying. The flavors offered are all amazing, it's hard to narrow done unless you have dietary restrictions, then it's much easier. They have gluten free cookies (chocolate chip and fudge brownie) and ice cream (vanilla, vegan chocolate chip, mint chip, dark chocolate), along with a whole bunch more traditional cookies and ice cream. You can get a sundae, a bear bowl (cookie in a bowl with ice cream on top), and just ice cream or just cookies. So, you really can't go wrong here if you are hankering for ice cream or cookies. The place is small though, so in the summery and warmer months, don't anticipate sitting comfortably inside an air-conditioned space to eat your delicious frozen dessert. However, there is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your frozen delight. The parking is that of Pike & Rose, so just plan accordingly. Prices are fair for a boutique ice cream and cookie shop - you get what you pay for here. It's worth it!

I wasn't a huge fan of dark chocolate ice cream until I tried the one here!! Unfortunately there's nothing else I like getting, except for maybe the brownies. The cookies and some of the other ice cream flavors I've tried are way too sweet for me. Bit pricey too, but I'll keep coming back because of the dark chocolate ice cream.

It was slightly busy but the line moved fairly quickly. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and a lot of people dining in were simply enjoying their weekend. Unfortunately I had to work so everything was to go for me. I would love to have the opportunity to just dine in one day. I also want to try their Virginia location since that recently opened as well. I'm also still waiting on their rainbow/chantilly filled croissant because it had to be the best pastry I've ever eaten. Would happily return here. Wish they had a punch card for their regular customers.

The Blackberry Pistachio Croissant was flaky and full of a sweet-tart house made blackberry compote and rich pistachio frangipane. For the hot tea, I got Island Mango just on the description - sweet bits of mango, pineapple, orange, safflower & hibiscus. It was served as decaf. Once I let it cool, it had a citrus taste, but not sweet. I am still glad to have tried it and did not have to wait long for the order. Within a block of leaving the business, while holding the hot cup with one hand (the sleeve only helped a little), some of the hot tea spilled on me suddenly (I now have a burned scar on my knuckle). I don't know if the cover was on right, or if my movements made the top come off. I couldn't blame anyone. I did go back and had them replace the top since the other fell on the ground outside. When they say "hot" tea, they are not lying. Moving forward, no more hot drinks for me.

Some seatings were comfy (the ones in the back) and the others was a bit hard. Most of the pastries are in the middle with sweet ones on one side and savoys on the other. The price was really reasonable. I saw so many savoy ones I would love to try if I ever visit at BF time. I saw they have Cronut (Croissant and Donut in one). I had had Cronut in Vegas (at the Paris Hotel), but the ones here looked a little different so I wanted to try. Mistake. It was extremely greasy. The oil soaked through the paper plate and I had to squeeze the pieces I cut with napkins to get as much oil out as possible. I would give it a 2 star, it would have been good if not so oily. The egg tarts on the other hand deserved a 5 star. Love it. The latte tasted fine, but it took them a while to make it (almost 10 mins) and served in the normal paper cup, I was hoping for a nice latte art since it took so long. Overall it is a wonderful place to sit around and enjoy some quiet time, just don't get the cronut unless they cut down on the oil...

The tofu steam bun -- easily my favorite lunch item in the area -- really didn't work. It's still an interesting experience but I really can't recommend a place I now avoid. --- PROS - Interesting selection, interesting food, lots of options, overall friendly staff. - Bathrooms were clean. The interior of the restaurant seemed like a good meeting/date spot. Although they had Wifi, I wouldn't call this a great place to come and study or get work done, although I saw people doing that. I've had the Vietnamese coffee twice, the first time was great, the second time was just okay. Food items are very unique, so much so I didn't like some of them but I still enjoyed the experience. Try something that sounds weird, it's half the fun of coming in here. CONS * Allergies - it wasn't clear what all everything was made with so if you're trying to avoid gluten or peanuts or eggs, I didn't see much on ingredients. I know for some people that's a red flag. * The tea. We just thought it was above average but not amazing. I mean its right in the name, come on. * Collecting items - you gotta look for the little trays and the salad tongs. That's what you use to grab stuff out of the cases. I know for most people that was super obvious but it wasn't for me. * Summertime note: during the hotter months I've noticed they seem to have some issues with keeping things cool.
