I needed a same day appointment because of the pain associated with my issue. (After all that she FINALLY said we can't do a same day "you can go to urgent care") I said thank you and hung up-She clearly cannot represent the brand... NOW AS FAR AS THE TOP TIER SERVICE AT PEARL DENTISTRY... CHEF'S KISS! I called in and was greeted with the most welcoming and empathetic voice and professionalism from the front desk staff (I could almost kick myself for letting my pain make me drop the ball and forgot to get her name- she needs a shout out) She asked me how quickly can you get here? Do you think you can get here within 30 minutes? I was floored! Yessss I can! At that point she asked "so how did you find us?" - not will you be covered by your insurance. I told her my insurance and she said great! I can look you up to help you get in quicker and get taken care of! I was ill prepared but she took other means to find me and followed up with a 2nd phone call before arriving. The way she carried herself it was like I was the only patient they had and I was Queen Charlotte herself - just VIP Service and care, tailored to me, and about me. Good energy from the jump start! When I arrived... I was literally at the corner and she was looking out the window at a lost lady with 2 toddlers in a stroller and she waved me down like she knew me-Thank God because I was already hot and in pain but her infectious smile from probably 400+ft away made me feel like I was seeing a long time friend and I waved and painfully smiled bigger than I should have! she opened the door for me and said hey there welcome to Pearl Dentistry! I said did I look that lost? And we laughed and she said it's ok I'm just glad you made it! The other staff members were smiling and greeting me too (like we met before as well) 1. Technology and Intake- sent me a message for check in to my phone, easy and effortlessly created without feeling like I'm putting everything and my blood type on there (I've had some forms I wanted to just exit and this was very direct, straight to the point and not a dragged out process.) 3. Wait time- by the time I blinked they were calling me to the back and that was perfect because with the toddlers they can get a little too busy us moving to the back as quick as we did helped a lot. (Not to mention they had snacks for them and YouTube that kept them cool, calm and collected during my visit) 4. My Tooth Fairy Dr. Amanda Curtlin, DDS What a refreshing experience to know that the standard of service does not stop at the Front staff but in the individual rooms with back staff (Dental assistant/X-ray tech/ pre-op- very personable young lady!) Dr Curtlin made my nerve wrecking experience easy and effortlessly created a great environment for me to relax and provided a clear understanding of what was happening, why it was happening, and what we need to do to stay safe during & after care. Never in my life has a dentist made me feel comfortable enough to hum through a tooth extraction. I mean she carried the tunes with me, checked in on me after every line of the song, and still carried out a full tooth extraction without missing a beat! I think I even heard her sing to the dental assistant to drain the site AND I LOVED IT! She communicated with me the entire time, telling me to make sure I tell her if I feel any pain vs pressure, paused if she didn't understand what I was saying even if it was something as simple as you both are doing great because at that point they weren't just my cheer squad, I was theirs! The first one the long sides of the crown did not hit the gums causing food to get stuck and the short sides were bubbled causing food to be trapped/decay. I replaced the first one at my expense at a year with minimal damage. The second one I am dealing with now. The crown is 3 years old already causing bone loss and destabilizing my implant (I may have to replace the implant). I am so enraged that a dentist I trusted could deliberately set me up for failure (Dr Olsen has been a dentist for over 40 years and he KNOWS crowns should be flat NOT bubbled). I bought a Groupon to Advanced Dentistry and have gone twice now; once for a cleaning/X-rays/care plan, and once for some fillings. Both visits were an excellent experience. I had a 30 minute wait for the first visit and a 10 minute wait for the second, but once I was in the dentist's chair, my experience went as well as one could expect. Both the dental hygienist and Dr. Bowman were incredibly friendly, gentle, and informative. You can tell Dr. Bowman is very passionate about his job and really cares about his patients. The office is very clean and up-to-date. I had no pain with either visit- something new to my dental history. Normally when getting a filling, I have to grunt for more anesthesia while the dentist's fumbling around in my mouth and pinching my cheek with his instruments. Somehow, this time around, I was never in any pain throughout the procedure. Yay! I won't be so afraid to go back now, thank goodness. The dentist I saw was incredibly kind and thorough. She conducted a comprehensive checkup to ensure there were no signs of infection or inflammation, and even ordered a CT scan of my teeth to make sure nothing was missed. After discussing the numbness and its progression, she gently suggested that it might be Bell's Palsy. However, to rule out the very slight chance of a stroke, she advised me to have someone take me to the emergency room immediately. The staff were all extremely kind and professional, and they asked only that I call and update them on my condition after my ER visit. I felt genuinely cared for, and I believe that level of care is the best any industry can offer its customers. Oh and it is Bell's Palsy. I should be right as rain in a few weeks to a few months.

It was on a Friday in the late afternoon and he was on his way to Virginia. He asked me if I could meet him at the office Saturday morning. He had come all the back home from his trip just to help me glue my temporary tooth back on to get me through the weekend. I don't know anyone else who's going to do that for a patient. He didn't have to take time to think about it. He heard my message and knew he was coming home to help me.
