Found a nice 2 yr old Starcraft 22 ft pontoon w/ 90 hp Yamaha on the internet. This was last summer and I drove up from the Alex area on my motorcycle. Early morn weekday visit so no sales staff available. I get the GM Sean to help me. I tell him im pulling it down to Florida to leave for winters and i want this boat and he wants more time on the web. Deal very pleasantly negotiated, and pick up in three days w/truck and trailer. Shop fitted my bunks for me and loaded 100% impressive. Three weeks later registration shows up and was accompanied by a set of custom color matching vinyl numbers for the hull. pleasant surprise! Went here to ask if they had a prop for my old 68 mercury out of curiosity, and the guy at the front desk immediately cut me off and nearly laughed in my face as he said "Nope" and then nothing. So I'm like okay.... you know where I can find one? To which he proceeds " yeah right that things ancient good luck, I can sell ya a new motor?" Lol dude. Really? Very poor customer service. Very surprised this place is still open. Stay away find another place to buy a boat.

Drove all the way from AZ to pickup a PWC last spring. Salesman checked every $100 bill I brought with me with a fraud marker because he thought I was shady for driving 1600 miles for the craft I wanted. The PWC ended up having a broken reverse lever and serious bottom damage. All this I found out on the water a few days later. What a disappointment. read more

These guys are horrible. The boss/manager is either lazy or learning disabled. Left my boat there for sale on commission and said i wasn't sure it was wintered so check and winterize if needed. The didn't do sh!t and the block cracked and they blamed me even though I had a six month e-mail trail about it. Lied like a rug even though I had the email trail. Lost over $5,000.00 selling my cabin cruiser that needed then a new motor. read more

Fairly difficult to negotiate with and always questioning you on where you received your numbers. Prices are way over fair market value and the staff at times seemed to not care about the customer. read more

I'm not in the habit of writing reviews, but they just broke the last straw. Twice I drove 150 miles in vain to have them fix the aerator in the live well of my new 2015 Glastron. After the first time when I called to tell them it wasn't fixed the owner angrily told me they have the best techs around and that wasn't possible, and then hung up on me. I waited until fall to take the boat back to have the aerator fixed at the same time as they did a one year check up. The tech told me they found and fixed the problem, but when I put it in this spring it still didn't work. I decided not to go back the third time. Now when I went to take the boat out this fall, the battery was dead, Looking at it, I found the battery in this 2015 boat was dated 2009! I'm sure they won't admit it, but someone switched a new battery for an old one! read more

Terrible company! Do not go here to Moorhead marine!!! I brought my boat there to have the carb fixed and got it back AFTER I HAD TO ORDER THE PART to find out from the mechanic didn't even touch it! They charged me to have nothing fixed! If you want to get the run around go here!!! I spoke to the owner and he basically said good luck. As far as boats go, a combination of stupid and lazy. They said they's sell my cabin cruiser on commission and asked about winterizing it. On two occasions I said "yes" but they never did it and also never actively tried to sell it. End result I ended up selling it myself, from their lot, and they had never winterized it and the block had cracked. Lost about $5,000 on the sale and they still wanted their commission! I took my jet ski to them to rebuild the engine. It took forever. Evidently, they had some "management problems". It took more than twice as long to fix as they quoted me. When I called to check on the progress after a few weeks, they did not even know who I was or that they even had my jet ski. Of course, it took another few weeks to get my jet ski back. The next year (summer 2012), it was coding a "maintenance" alarm. I took it back to Moorhead Marine to get it checked out. Again, they did not even look at it for two-three weeks! I understand that summer is their busy time. If you are so busy that you cannot even look an issue for three weeks, then it may be time to hire more people! The worst part of it was the attitude of the manager. Every time I called, it was as if I was inconveniencing them. They do not have the slightest care if they tie up a person's recreational equipment for a month or two. This is sad considering we can only use them 4 months of the year. Karma reared its ugly head, though. My girlfriend informed me two weeks ago that she is buying a new pontoon, and she stopped by Moorhead Marine to look at what they had. Upon telling me that she found one there that she was very interested in, I persuaded her to buy from another dealer, citing Moorhead Marines horrible customer service. I do not know the exact amount of profit they make off a $20,000+ pontoon, but I will bet they just lost thousands of dollars. Dan. read more
