I called a few places to get my Dad's six windows tinted in the home. These are large windows one section has No curtains. Rojelio gave me an estimate over the phone, then came to the house within an hour. We chose the tint which is mirrored on the outside so no one can see in. Dogs not to happy about that. Lol. He did a really nice job. The cleaner comes first to prep the windows. The neighbor has a bright ass light that shines straight into the backyard and into the master bedroom. I came here because the other tint shops hear me, didn't say they could apply tint to my car(2005 Honda Civic). This was the first place I found that didn't say they couldn't, and offered a pretty good deal to get it done. I scheduled my appointment for 10am, and dropped my car off. The owner(I believe) had asked if I could leave the car there, since he said he was busy and it might take a little while. I thought "No big deal, I live down street anyways." Well, it came to be almost 5pm and I had not heard anything about the status of my car. So I called them to find out if it was finished or not? Sadly, to my surprise..he told me that I guess his employee(whom I had spoke to earlier in the day directly!) became very ill and he sent him to the ER!! And due to this problem, he hadn't had a chance to even start my car yet!! Needless to say, this was quite upsetting and confusing why I wasn't made aware of this problem and why I had been without a car all day for nothing to be done yet?! The owner reassured me that he would have my car finished by 7pm tonight, so I said that was fine and waited to hear back. At 6:50pm, he reached out to me and told me I could come pick it up. When I got there, I noticed how great my car looked and was very happy with the work that was done. The BEST part is he upgraded the quality of the tint to the best available as an apology for having to wait all day! That is what turned this review from a 1 star to a 5 star!! Not only does it look amazing, the price I paid is insanely good! Very cool of him to do that, and to accomplish the quality of work he did all by himself!! The removal and replacement of my tint was fast and clean despite my back window shabby state. They used the higher quality 3M tint film on it and were able to match my existing tint shade. This was my third car to bring here. Unfortunately the owner was not there and one of his employees tinted my car. Very nice but did not have the experience of the owner. After several attempts the owner dropped in and decided to tint the second window. Three days later I rolled the windows down and noticed the first window tinted by the the employee had a gap app around the top of the window. Called and spoke to the owner and he said their busy but they will fix it today. I stopped by approximately 10:30 and they said they were busy but would get to it today took my number and said approximately 3:00. I was in the area at around 3:30 and stopped by and the employees response was I didn't call you. I told him I was in the area after spending all day in the area to kill time. He said we're really busy and won't get to it today. How about we call you another day. Never got a call to bring it back or work out a time. I decided to take to another tinting shop and have the film stripped and re tinted correctly. $180.00 wasted. The owner does great work and I would recommend hm. My windows say it all. Had them redo some of the windows twice and still didn't come out right. I called a spoke to the owner Rogelio after being concerned about the way the tinting looked immediately after installation. I was reassured after two days they bubbles would go away. Not so the first nor the second time. When I called to set the original appointment, I didn't realize there are two locations. Rogelio sent me to the Moorpark location the location he was not at. The owner, Rogelio, is scam artist. They offered to detail our car and when we went to pick it up, it was not even vacuumed, they left wax in the seams, dust on the interior panels, etc. but to top it off, they literally sanded the paint off off the entire roof of the car. The owner refused to refund our money and now our car needs $6k paint job. Rogelio, the owner, should not be allowed to run a business. Yelpers said he would do a good job and he did! We took our Ford C-Max in for the UVA/UVB tint to protect against skin damage as we have skin cancer in the family. The C-Max has big windows and ours has a moon roof too. We received a competitive quote, picked the different depths of tint so we wouldn't get a ticket (get your oncologist or dermatologist to write a letter explaining you have had skin cancer and keep it in the glove box to show police if you are stopped - it will prevent a ticket). Deepest on the moon roof and back and lighter on the front side windows, with lightest on the front window screen. When I dropped in for a quote I received immediate attention and a good explanation of the different tints and pricing. Another reason I picked this outfit was they carry a tint recommended by the Cancer Society for blocking UVA/UVB. We organised a day to drop the car off for 3 hours to do the job and it was finished before the 3 hours was up. It looked great and we have experienced no problems after 3 weeks. I would definitely recommend Moorpark Window Tint. Great products, great customer service, great pricing and I know that if there happens to be a problem in future it will be taken care of. I'll be taking my Jeep in for tinting soon and will see if Rogelio can sort out the raggy tint on my daughter's classic car too. My friends in the club loved it too! And he has gotten some work from them as well.
