We decided to spend another weekend at Moose Hillock for the 4th of July. It's been a few years since our last holiday visit, and this time around did not disappoint. We booked pretty late and still managed to reserve a site, which was great! The spots are spacious and pretty private and that's always our preference. Check in wasn't too bad. The only complaint was not being clearly told we needed specific golf cart insurance prior to arrival. It was our first time traveling with our cart and we didn't know. We added it on while we were there and had no other issues. The pool was such a blast. It doesn't get too deep, which is great because we have a little one and could take him all over the pool. I could have stayed in that pool all day! It was a really hot weekend. We had an amazing time. We would love to go more often but there was a 3 night minimum. We can't always commit to a short getaway that's this long. But we had a great time and I'd highly recommend. read more

Sites are really big enough space for all your needs. All gravel no grass (that didn't bother us). We were here from July 1st - July 5th and there was very little activities for kids or adults. On the 4th was a golf cart parade, one man band at the pool from 12-2pm and a magician from 7p-8p. The whole week had very minimal maybe an hour of candy bar bingo here and there (once a day). No local fireworks or parades were advertised. Unfortunately I think they really put the hype into the pool but after 4 days of just pool it gets boring. It's definitely more for your little kids. The pool is only 4 feet deep and the slides are nice and slow. We enjoyed our time there but for the price and no activities we probably won't be going back. read more

Beautiful Grounds, Shockingly Unprofessional Management We stayed at Moose Hillock in 2023 and had an amazing time--clean cabins, beautiful pool, friendly staff. This year was the complete opposite. From the start, store employees were cold and dismissive. My 5-year-old tried to chat with a cashier who completely ignored her. At checkout, when I politely shared my disappointment, the young woman said "whatever." Then a manager named Ed came in, looked up my reservation, and told me he had written in my file that I was an "entitled, rude, and pissy b****." He smirked and told me to "write that in my review," then sarcastically wished me a "safe" ride home so he'd never have to see me again. The property is gorgeous, but buyer beware: that beauty hides a management team whose behavior can be erratic, combative, and alarmingly disconnected from professional standards. read more

Empty nesters and retirees, this place is for you! Moose Hillock RV Resort is amazing with huge sites, over the top amenities, an amazing pool, a full calendar of events, responsive and engaged owners and a terrific staff. You could never leave the site and be busy, entertained, and relaxed! But it is also a great home base for the active RVers. Did someone say Pickleball? Disc Golf? Both are only 2.5 miles away, and the YMCA and Crandall park just 7 miles away have both also! (I join the Y every summer here for the pool and fitness center. The staff are amazing!) More into nature? There are 49 hiking trails just within the Lake George area and many more just outside of Lake George. You can choose the easy ones all the way up to the difficult and many of them have amazing views at the summit to reward you for the effort. Or does the water draw you in? Of course, there is boating and fishing at lake George, but there is also kayaking and river rafting. Not only can you kayak Lake George itself, but Glen Lake is another of my favorites, and there is a great 5 mile kayak down the Schroon River. Not only is it down river, but when you get a good tail wind, you are really just steering the yak! Do you like to bike/Ebike? The Empire bike trail is just down the road in Fort Ann, the Lake George Bike trail just inside of town, one of the Vermont rail trails is just over 30 minutes away, and there is a 10+ mile ride just south at the Saratoga National Historical Park (a bike ride AND history if you want to stop at all the sites!) Moose Hillock has it all for us retirees and empty nesters. Not only does it have endless activities both on site and off, but there is just something about camping that slows down the world around you and puts things into focus. It's campfires and your favorite beverage while playing a favorite board game (backgammon is our go to!) It's eggs, bacon, and or pancakes on the griddle in the morning (or just smelling it from all the nearby sites!) It's spotting deer and other critters during a morning walk around the site and smelling the sweet vanilla like scent of milkweed. It stops all the clutter floating around in your head and gratitude flows through you. Stop thinking about it and start planning your trip. You have been showing up for your work and your families for decades. Now it's time to show up for you! Moose Hillock has everything you want and everything you deserve. We stayed the last 5 days very disappointed .... this place is not what it should be. Don't fall for the advertisements the pictures make it more than it is ....People skills are terrible ...We purchased a drink and the ice melted asked for more ice and was told 80 cents.... wanted ice cream and my 8 yo wasn't sure on the flavor and asked for a small taste on a spoon told " we don't do that here " .... early check in two hours early 45$...... visitors 18$ each .... did I mention all the fees in booking REALLLLY...We wanted to rent a golf cart at 7pm told had to have it back by 11am for 107$.... not even 24 hrs .....paid additional money to pick our site on top of the daily fee...... I guess what I'm trying to say open you wallet ..... corporate at its best .... this was a one and done, so many nicer places to stay with out being taken .... if you have small children keep them away from the roads.... no one follows the 5mph...... and one more thing, we bought a few items in the store that we were over charged for and when we told the girl her response was is it marked that on the package ... lolol ... no I'm making it up .... as stated before terrible people skills and no hospitality. Lastly little to no activities. We traveled to do things outside the park. UPDATE .... We spent five days at this campground. This is the third campground we've been to in the Lake George area. Unfortunately it is my least favorite so far. Pros - the pool is wonderful and clean. The campsites are very large and well-kept with a very nice fire pit. Cons - We had a mixup with our reservation and we were given a site very far away from the rest of our group. There is no grass so it was not very convenient for my dog to be there with us. I had to walk a half mile down the stone and uneven road to the park. There was no dog run. It was very hard to ride a bike on the roads in the campground. There was no trash collection. We will not be going back to this campground. read more

Everyone was friendly, facilities are very well maintained, nice heated pool and that is all there is. Cons: OVERPRICED The sites are TINY, the fire pit isn't centered it's on corner of site so you can't sit around the fire, laundry is $5 washer and $4.75 dryer, no quarter machines anywhere but they have an app. The golf cart rental is $100 a day, early check in fee is $100 which is ridiculous considering the campground was empty due to the weather. Not many activities for little kids, even on 4th of July weekend, not even fireworks anywhere. Plan to leave the campground if you'd like have any fun. I expected a lot more considering the prices. Maybe the other themed weekends are worth going but not 4th of July. I feel everything is exaggerated on their social media. The pool party was just a live band playing, they handed out 20 glow sticks for a crowd of about 250 or more. I saw the moose wave towards the pool area and then ran away. I was disappointed and I'm sure the rain also played a big part in that but I don't plan on going back. I had more fun off the site then I did on the campgrounds. There are plenty of other RV resorts that offered more activities and just an overall better vibe. read more

This was by-far the most "Glamping" place we've ever stayed. And worth every penny! Obviously the pool was on par wit a Disney resort. Warm, light at night and 2 slides. I loved that the water wasn't too deep so less stress with the kiddos. The campsites here were HUGE. I could have comfortably put up a circus tent and still had room for the freak show. I was blown away! The sites next to us were separated by both a earth berm and dense vegetation, and noise was not ever an issue. The staff was nice, they seemed to want to help any time I asked questions and the bathrooms/shower area was well kept. We just spent 4 nights here for Memorial Day weekend.. just under $400 because of the 25% discount for the Covid - closures ( no pool, playground etc). Ok so... here is why I am giving 3 stars... for a normal rate of over $100 a night - they have no dog park, dog run or area to walk dogs or poop bag stations, the showers are coin operated as is laundry. They charge a fee to deliver wood to site and on two occasions when we asked question about the area .. ie a good fishing spot/hike; we were told I'm not from around here or I don't know I am new. They weren't overall very friendly either. That's is why 3 stars for the amount of money they are charging they should not nickel and dime you. As a positive probable the largest and most private sites in the Adirondacks. HUGE. The biggest of rigs will still have lots of room.. That in and of its self is 4 stars.. they are all gravel so FYI. The pool looks to be awesome - water slides etc my kids would have love it if open. Playground and grounds were very nice and well maintained. It is a lovely campground . And I can imagine that it is wonderful albeit a bit crowded during the high season . But we came a week before Memorial Day and the pool was closed . ( it was in the 90s ) And we discovered that unless you have a boat you will not be able to fish anywhere ! And forget about swimming . There is one swimming area and it's closed on sundays and after a certain time . Parking cost 3 dollars the first hour . I just think there are nicer areas than lake George . And this campground isn't enough to warrant the trip read more

RV spots are spacious & private! The biggest I've ever stayed in. Pool looks bigger in pictures but still big overall. Kids activities were minimal compared to some of the bigger chain rv resorts but the kids enjoyed the events that were offered. Laundry is expensive ($9 to wash & dry one load) You have to pay to take a shower ($0.25 for 7 minutes) Camp store had a lot to offer Fire pits were a little awkward with 3 big rocks not allowing people to sit on all sides. read more

I wanted to love this resort but it was a huge let down. I have grown up camping every summer my entire childhood in Lake George so I'm very familiar with the area and many of the camp grounds. For a walk down memory lane trip we booked one of the deluxe cabins to stay with my husband, daughter and my aging parents. We have never stayed here but website and Facebook page look so enticing. The cabin is small but adequate considering it's camping. However the people running the business are clueless. Our cabin didn't have working air conditioning so rather than fix it they put a stand up ac in one of the rooms but it was so big it took up the entire room and we couldn't even use the pull out sofa bed. Back to the office we go, spoke to Rick the manager who reassigned us to a new cabin. This one was a better layout and had working AC. Many were vacant and campground was empty overall so why would they even put us there in the first place knowing the Ac didn't work properly. Housekeeping staff does not clean well. Attached are photos after a quick broom sweep of both cabins upon our arrival. Activities calendar looked to be fun but events were lackluster at best. Everything cost more than it needed to and for resort prices should have not been extra fees. The pool looks cool but is not heated as advertised and is full of debris and dirty bandaids floating. Nasty. Would have rented a golf cart but at $99 per day we felt pricing was astronomical. Basically the whole lot of golf carts sat unused because too expensive. Get a clue management and rent them by the hour or reduce the prices. Laundry machines cost more per load than they charge at Disney world! Cost me $50 to do 4 loads of laundry. Really this place likes to nickel and dime you. We intentionally picked Christmas in July week because my daughter loves Christmas and we were the only campsite I saw with any decorations. All misleading from the website. There was no decorations, no Santa, no grinch, never saw Bruce the moose or Sasquatch that were supposed to be out roaming around the campground. There was nothing Christmassy about the campground or any of the events. It's honestly sad. This campground has the potential to so amazing and it's just a expensive disappointment from every aspect. read more

We arrived today the pool is open. We weren't given the discount. Since they called to advice us the pool was closed they should of called today it was open or they should of honored the 25% discount. I booked one of their deluxe "cabins", which is actually a wood-paneled trailer. I paid almost $3000 for the week and nothing is included. No towels, sheets, pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, cups, or even small appliances. The mattresses and couch are not comfortable. The floor was filthy and looked like it had never been cleaned. They tell you that it needs to be swept before you check out, which is probably the only cleaning it receives. They also overcharge you for everything. Do not be hyped by the paid advertisements on FB about this camp site. It is horrible. Positives, sites are large and spacious. Also pretty private. Otherwise, hated it. For 145$ a night I would of at least expected our site to be clean. Not the case. When I booked I told the employee we were going to have a tent up as well. Again no problem, until you realize there isn't a stitch of grass to be found in any of the sites or in the actually campground. Pretty uncomfortable and hard to place a tent up on rock/dust bed. We also brought our dogs who were miserable because we couldn't find any grass for them to do their business. They are smaller dogs that clearly didn't like the idea of weeds sticking up their bums. Not to mention the flea/ tick complications of how damn weed ridden this place is. In additional to the camp charge the have an "impact fee of 7.9%". No idea what that is for nor could the employee tell me! Oh, let's not forget a daily resort fee of 4$ a day! I mean it never ends here! They nickel and dime you with anything and everything possible. If you need to use their facilities like the shower, ya better bring rolls of quarters. That isn't even included. The pool isn't as great as it seemed in the photos. There is very little kids activities.a kid couldn't or wouldn't even want to ride bikes in this place. The roads are full of dust and stones. The amount of money they are bringing in the very least showers should be included... let alone SOME pavement. Don't even get me started with the rude staff, over priced snack shop, and golf cart rentals. If you really feel the need to check this place out bring your AMEX and hold your breath. You'll realize you could of had a week at the shore for early the same cost. read more

No Really.... Yes Really 5 Stars So they built the one in New Hampshire... I like the New Hampshire one but.... All you hear is the water park all day.... Lessons were very obviously learned when they built the Fort Anne facility... Never heard the water park at all! peace and quiet at my site... Private showers... Beautiful bathrooms... Well appointed store.... Natural stone fire pits are awesome for cooking on! Every single site looks level and private I wish the sites were not so expensive though.... But - they are consistent with the area it seems... and it is a better park.... I wish the wood bundles were cheaper... But I found other sources.... Someone complained that there is no wi-fi at the sites....... Put your goddam devices down! Build a campfire and talk with your family in real-time.... Someone complained that they think the Golf Car Rentals are too expensive.... I disagree... I actually hate that they rent them at all.... They are a nuisance! Drunk campers driving them and if they aren't the kids are and they go by constantly! paying zero head to other traffic whether it be vehicles, pedestrians, or bicycles.. Hate them.... But it is forgiven for being able to spend a quarter on a private shower that is hot the entire time... All is forgiven when I start a fire and stare up at the stars through the trees. All is forgiven when it is near pitch black outside my RV.... I LOVE THIS PLACE! We cannot wait to return! read more

Highly recommend! Campsites are clean, huge, and most important private! You really feel like you are camping not just in a crowded RV park. The pool is huge, clean and awesome for both little kids with the beach style walk in, and big kids with the water slides, and both for adults! Plenty of seating, and the pool is heated! Although wish they had umbrella seating without having to pay extra. Arcade was nice and clean, the games could have been more interactive and less "claw games" but of course kids loved that. Bathrooms were very clean! The Owner Ed was super friendly and out and about getting involved with everyone, which was really nice! He even personally returned my phone to me that I forgot at candy bingo.. (thanks again!) Candy bingo, horse rides, live band and movie night in the pool was also really fun! The park was really cute with wooden play sets (VERY fast slides) and swings. We made some great friends, and had a blast! Absolutely recommend this campground, we are not sure how anywhere else will ever compare. We plan to visit back again! A few things to consider- -Golf cart rentals are typically for your entire stay which can be very pricy. However They did allow us to rent for just 2 days during the slow week days. -some sites have larger rocks which can be rough to walk barefoot on. But keeps it cleaner! - the pool has a rough bottom and everyone has sores on their feet after long days in the water. Maybe water shoes would be good for kids? -beachside cafe was not open even on/after Memorial Day (which didn't bother us but might matter for others ) - pool area does not have umbrellas unless you pay extra. - if bringing a pet, limited space for them to go to bathroom. No dog run. -fire wood is cheaper right outside the campground - slides go FAST at the playground, if you have little ones. read more

More often than not reviews are negative. People who have a glorious time see no need to proclaim it to a mostly negative audience. All that said I won't say I absolutely will not return but having been to NY twice and NH once, the thrill is gone. Yes they are overpriced for what they offer, then again I am seeing price gouging more and more. The sites were fine for me. Large and mostly private although we did see some that were mostly open. Some complain about the fire pits and not being able to sit all around them. There were 6 of us sitting by the fire nightly and there were no complaints, but I can understand the complaint. Golf carts are super expensive. $99 a day plus taxes. Granted you can haul 6 people in them so that was a plus but yes they are expensive. You have a designated parking spot at the pool, but yes they are expensive. The pool is designed for kids. Deepest point is about 4 feet. It was certainly refreshing during our stay but other than the pool we didn't utilize any of the movies or whatever else they offered. For $139 a night it seemed like a lot for not a lot to do. We mainly did our fun times outside the park and during our stay of 7 nights at the end of July 2023 there were MANY empty sites, MANY MANY. Maybe that's part of the reason for the pricey rates. Lastly I will complain about a price change that I really am upset about. Not so much the amount but they didn't honor the price at the time of the booking. The current "Daily Resort Fee" ( or here .... let me take some more of your cash) is $8 per day. When we booked it was $4 per day. Again the $28 isn't going to send me to the poor house but what the heck is a "Resort Fee" and why did it double between Mar of 2023 and July 2023 ? Enjoyed our stay at this campground. Sites were more than spacious and very private. The pool was amazing, my kids had a great time. Two things though- I wish there was a dog park. And I wish there was better enforcement on golf cart use. I was walking my dog and I watched two golf carts attempt to run each other off the road and thinking it was funny. I saw other times of reckless behavior on golf carts and it was annoying when I'm walking with my family. This would not deter me from returning though, it really is a great campground! read more

One of the most over priced and grossly underwhelming campgrounds we have ever been to. The pool was the huge draw for us and in pictures it looks amazing. In reality, it's no where as clean as it looks in pictures and it was cringe worthy right from the start. We watched as a child vomited IN the pool near us and the very apologetic dad told everyone in the immediate area to momentarily vacate while he alerted staff. We watched as the staff member shrugged his shoulders and just stood there. A bunch of us wondered why they weren't cleaning it up and watched as the puke just spread and widened through the pool. I was disgusted and alerted the "manager" who told me the high powered filters would take care of it and I shouldn't judge a campground based on one bad incident. Gross. No attempt to clean out the chunks. No attempt to even make it 'appear' that they tried to clean it. We left and we'll never be back to this campground. read more

I wanted to end my vacation giving this place 5 stars but I was FAR from impressed. To prevent a wordy review, I will just list pros and cons. PROS: -Campsites are spacious and private. -Pool is entertaining...for a DAY. CONS: -The experience was not worth the $109/night. -Were told we HAD to book a week but there were people next to us that stayed one night. 2 sites down, someone was here 2 nights. (I HIGHLY doubt they paid for a week because the sites were filled a day later.) -When we booked, we were told if we wanted a cabana, we HAD to rent it for THREE days when we booked our sites back on 8/3/2020 for our July 2021 stay. We have the email confirmation showing dates and because they changed their pricing, told us we only had booked for 2 days and made ridiculously lame excuses about the dates our reservation email provided. -No activities for the kids except the pool, which is fun for a day or two AT MOST. Surface of pool is coated in a film of sunblock slime. Anytime you dip under, your sunglasses come out coated in a greasy film that is difficult to remove. -Sites and roads are gravel which creates a lot of dust and loose stones in and on your camper. -Bike riding for younger kids is nearly impossible because everything is on a hill. -No area to let dogs run. -Cars/Trucks/Golf Carts rip through the campground. -They upcharge for EVERYTHING! And, it was $5 for a 2 scoop ice cream that was literally scooped with a tool the size of a melon baller! (Not kidding) That being said, if you want go to a REAL "Camping Resort" near Lake George, go a few miles down the road and stay at the Lake George RV park. WAY more activities for kids and adults!!! So sad to give this review but had to. This place should be called "dusty acres." You cant even begin to comprehend the dust you will endure. 100 times more work because of dust from cars, golf carts going by your site. No joke! You cant leave nothing out. Chairs, tables, food, everything is disgusting. Poor dogs are covered. Im so disappointed because the have the BEST pool that I've ever seen! Beautifully done private sites, Very close to town and great golf carts for rent. But The dust was soooo bad it was like constant sand storm. Moose Hillock campground in Fort Anne NY is not following NY state COVID guidelines. They do not limit capacity in their pool, nor do they honor social distancing protocols anywhere on their grounds. Employees do not wear masks indoors and common facilities are not cleaned after use. They've posted signs but they're not enforced. They also do not allow refunds for those exposed to COVID or those who recently traveled from states that require isolation upon return. Such a rip off!!! Ok , yes this camp site has a pool which is nice , but they decided to close the cafe for the entire season, why? All the seating is outdoor? Doesn't make sense, so you can't buy good at the pool and they absolutely won't let you bring food or drink to the pool, as a mom of 4 , I find this extremely annoying, Now let's talk about the wrist bands, they are made of paper , but if one of kids loose one they charge you $18 Bucks a day for a new one , so if you have 5 days left , and 3 kids - you pay for every kid and every day , I had to pay $110 for a lost band! what!? Seriously, this place is already the most expensive RV camp in Lake George. Now the lake - you have to drive a good 20 mins to get to Lake George, and what they don't tell you , is most of it is privately owned, so you have to go the "Million Dollar Beach , which is beyond packed and they charge you 10 bucks just to park Oh and even the showers are not free - 25 cents for 5 min of warm water Take my advice and stay anywhere else!!!!!!! The pool here is amazing! Customer service is AWFUL. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. Was told upon reserving our site we were not allowed to rent a golf cart for less than a week in advance but not to worry it's garunteed I can rent one on arrival, this was a lie. After getting here I was called to go down and pick one up that "became available for my family!!" To find AGAIN, nothing and I wasted my time I was paying to enjoy with my family. The manager was so disrespectful and rude to my fiancé when he called looking to find where I was. When looking to reconcile the situation and just move forward to enjoy our trip with OUR CHILDREN... I was told "if you leave first thing we will refund one nights stay, you won't enjoy the rest of your stay anyway. We have a lot of campers here someone else would be happier with less." WHAT KIND OF COMPLETE CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THAT FOR A FAMILY CAMPGROUND?! Ridiculous, to be frank I wouldn't expect to be spoken to in such a manor by anyone, ESPECIALLY a business where I paid and did nothing wrong as a customer. We have camped here now for 2 summers- a week at a time. We love the location and the large sites. The pool is amazing and our children love it. We have never had any issues while there. We've already booked our trip for this year and can't wait. :) read more

I can only give the star for my experience, we never got to actually stay. I think we booked our 3-night stay in a cabin back in March, I was told you could book 3 nights if it was a gap between someone else's stay. We were excited to book it, as it was going to be a nice family trip for our 2-year-old before her sister arrived. So we booked it (paid in full, over $1000) with a cabana and the person was very helpful. However, about a month ago they called to cancel our reservations saying the cabins weren't going to be delivered because the place they bought them shut down due to Covid. I just said "ok" and they gave us our money back. The more I got to thinking about it, the angrier I got that they just flat out lied to us because they wanted our spot. They do have cabins and they aren't delivered by anyone and I called to confirm that. You could have just told the truth and it would have been nice if you tried to make other accommodations, even a campsite. This was an asinine lie using the pandemic as an excuse, just like everyone else. Since you canceled us so late, anywhere we could take our little one for a getaway is extremely expensive, booked, or has a minimum, which is why we tried to plan so far in advance. Recently camped here in July and bookEd two sites paid in full. When arrived we pulled into our site which was small advertised to fit a 40 foot rv on each site and level which this site was neither. Been camping 20!years and could not get level -called the desk said can't move you sent a manager He said it's ok to raise your front wheels off ground as I have auto level system -I said no - He said would see if could move our site - he did and next site was as advertised big secluded and level. Not the start I wanted but after about 2 hours we were in our site. My son arrived about an hour later and they charged him 100$ because they said they forgot to add aanother adult - As I said I paid in full months earlier which I questioned and the manager said she would call me that after she looked into the mistake - No call no refund. The campground looks totally different t in person Pools is ok not as big as it looks online, roads gravel hard for dogs to walk or push a stroller Staff iffy and for price would stay at Lake George Rv park if going to Lake George. Also had booked in advance as mentioned earlier and did not put our sites near each other with numerous sites open all over campground - would have if we locked each site for 125$ each site -What a rip off Don't Go read more

Nice camping resort if you have an RV or Travel Trailer. Sites are big and secluded, level with full hook up services. Friendly staff and a very nice pool. Campground is pretty quiet this time of year. Clean facilities and campground. Downsides: 1. They charge a lot of money. Weekdays are 86.00 per night and Friday and Saturday are 96.00 per night. 2. They nickel and dime you for everything at this place. 3. For the kind of money you spend per night if you want to use one of the bathrooms for showering you have to pay additional money. 25 cents per five minutes. 4. Golf cart rentals are way overpriced. They would rather them sit and not be used then give a reasonable price. 4 seater is $69 per day and 6 person is $79 per day. If you want to rent one later in the day they do not give you 24 hours of rental. If you rented at 3 pm for example the cart rental is done at 10:00 am the next day not 24 hours from rental time. 5. Bundles of wood they charge $8 per bundle. 6. For the kind of money they charge per night anyone can drive in at night as there is no gates or security. 7. Laundry area is $4 per load to wash and another $4 per load to dry. 8. Fall discounts do not start until After September 11th even when the place is empty. There were less than 10 sites with people on them while we stayed here after labor day. They have a great idea here and i am sure they do well all summer but they really need to not nickel and dime for the nightly price. Not bad for our first time. The staff was pleasant, the facilities were almost always immaculate and the pool was great. The only reason why I didnt give it five stars is because we brought up our tent, no RV like 90% of the park did...the rocks on the camp grounds were massive, ample and sharp. Even if we wanted to sleep In sleeping bags, we couldn't without stacks of padding. You cant even go barefoot in the tent from the hard huge rocks. There is also no pop up grill on your site so bring your own. Otherwise, it was a nice experience. Ten pm is the cut off for loud noises, it went to about 11pm but then crickets was all that was heard. We would go back but with more air mattresses and possibly a few carpets. Renting a golf cart was fun for the experience but if you are close to the pool, dont bother, its expensive. Also, be prepared to be kicked out at exactly 11am!!! One last thing, it probably makes sense to book two night. We booked one night just to check out the grounds and you technically have less than 24 hours for your first day. Once your day is up, you have to leave at 11am and you cant enjoy the pool or other amenities. After setting up our site then eating, the kids had little time to enjoy the pool the first and only night. This is where it gets pricey. read more

The pool is great, sites are spacious and fairly private. That's the only two stars. We went at the end of June and there were zero activities for the kids to do, no night swimming, no cafe open. We paid almost $1000 for a site and golf cart then found out we had to pay with quarters to shower. Not worth the hype, spend less money at another campground and you'll be far more satisfied. read more

Do not go to this campground and do not rent the cabins consumers be aware do your research on this business it looks like they spend a good amount of money on advertisements but not on customer service. They have an "F" on the Better Business Bureau and they are not even accredited. We rented a cabin for a weekend, as soon as we left they charged our card and extra $250 we called and asked why this charge was being made they said it was a cleaning charge. I personally cleaned the whole cabin and even used Clorox wipes everywhere. The grounds keeper Edward said there was a bad smell when he went into the cabin I asked him what kind of smell he said a wet dog smell I explained we do not own a dog and asked him what he had to do to get rid of the smell and he couldn't explain any process. I did find it suspicious that there was a lady in front of our cabin with a dog a few times, Edward said he asked the people next to our cabin and supposedly told him they had seen us with a dog which is completely untrue again we do not own a dog. We followed all the protocols that they require which is sweeping the cabin and taking out all trash before you leave which we did. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else this business is dishonest and want to take advantage of hard working families that just want to have a good time. Besides if you have a dispute it goes nowhere because Edward seems to be "owner" of this whole business and you can't talk with anyone else. read more

Nice large site and fire pit. I have a pop up and stayed on site 313 I had fun in the pool and the game room looked fun. The bathrooms are very clean. My first visit here. If you are a hiker go to Black mountain the views are amazing at the top only 2.5 miles hike. They could of received a 5 star if they had WIFi at the sites. Probably Wouldn't of stayed here if I knew they didn't but I assumed for an RV park at $98 a nite they would have it. I will stay here again for sure. read more

This was an awesome family campground! Large private sites, friendly staff, and clean pool area. It was never overly crowded, even at the special events! The staff took care of everything, even filling in road ruts almost immediately after a passing rain shower occurred. There was a lot to do on the site, but not overwhelming. It was nice to relax while spending time with four generations of our family together. Can't wait to come back next year!! read more
