Made my inaugural visit Friday just after 3:00. Only a few parking spots but ample street parking. The small tap room was full of what seemed to be regulars...or...just friendly neighbors. I discussed beers w friendly beertender Hunter and landed on Buzzed Beekeeper Honey Nut Brown Ale. Was a relaxed, just chill vibe. I liked all the brewery stickers on the tin parts of walls. A nice selection of merch. Not a far jaunt off the freeway. A good stop for a beer. Thanks Moose Lake! read more

Very solid beer on the shores of a nice lake with a good state park and agates nearby. There is nothing special to write home about, it is just ordinary styles of beer done reasonably. They are friendly to kids and mine enjoyed the many soda options. Picking for agates up at the pits is thirsty work, and this was the perfect place to refresh after. read more

Stopped by this local spot while out riding our ATVs through the area...and we are glad we did! This spot was so appealing with their decor from the outside and inside! The inside decor was a rustic northern outdoors theme - cozy and relaxing! There were lots of branded merchandise for sale. Their was an outdoor patio with additional seating. The service was friendly and helpful. Their beers and Seltzer were quite tasty! We didn't see any food on the menu, just a variety of beers. This was a fun spot to stop for a relaxing time enjoying good drinks! read more

We decided to stop by Moose Lake Brewing on our way up to Duluth for one beer, and ended up hanging out much longer! This brewery has a great selection of beers. I tried the Mango Blonde and loved it! We also got some delicious pizza from the food truck in back and played some of the games in the brewery. Overall great experience, staff, and vibe! read more

Beer was good and the bartender was very nice, but the vibe I got after sitting for a bit was that non-townies stick out and are not terribly welcomed. This is a cool place to relax next to the lake and have a great beer. We had the Irish Red and had to have another. It was delicious. My grandson and I played a few games together as we waited for our pizza to be delivered. They have board games, card games, and a few others that we enjoyed. They had live music and indoor and outdoor seating. Our bartender was very nice. My grandson wanted another rootbeer so we sent him in with $5 and he came back with his plastic cup and no change. I guess he's a big tipper. I would most definitely stop here again coming through this area. If you get a chance to try them I highly suggest it. They did have a food truck outside, as they don't actually serve food at the brewery. We had already decided to order pizza from a place in town and we had burgers for lunch. Warning! LOCALS ONLY! Went in and was impressed with the layout and woodsy decor. Unfortunately the bartender there was disinterested at best in my friend and I other than taking our order. Spent most of his time talking to a friend of his about "making my 190lb weight goal" and some other local topics of interest. Not good customer interaction from this dude. Had one IPA which was decent but split due to "locals only" vibe I got. It's always fun to go to Moose Lake Brewery! We spend a couple weeks in Moose Lake every year, and we always come here. The staff is always fun and helpful. They have a good selection of beers. Great inside and outside dining. Dog friendly! Pam is great!! It was nice visiting with her. read more

Made a quick stop here while headed north. The taproom is right on the lake which is nice! It was pretty cool out so we sat inside, but I bet the patio is great during the summer! The indoor area was rustic and cozy. There was an area with the bar & tables plus an area with games (bags, etc) which was nice. Bartender was friendly and accommodating. Got a flight of 4 - I don't recall the beer names, unfortunately (one was the mango blonde, 2 were stouts). The stouts were delicious!! One was an imperial and a bit too much for early afternoon, but the other was easy drinking and tasty. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area! read more

Great beer and ambiance. Great outdoor space in the summer with a view of the lake. Staff is very friendly.

We stopped in and grabbed some crawlers to go as we were heading up to our cabin. I have to say that the owner helped us and he was top notch and very friendly. The social distancing steps taken where great and the beer tasted even better. All three flavors we purchased where very good but I must say the Mango Blonde was our favorite. I'm excited to see his beers are at one of my local liquor stores as ever sense we made this stop this last spring we had wanted to make the hour drive just to get some more of his beers. I did NOT expect to see a brewery in Moose Lake. I was so excited to check this place out when driving through town to get firewood. We stopped, and it made my day. The Whiskey Chip Bourbon Stout is boozey at first and has a chocolatey finish. It was nice and cold, too - loved it! The patio is really peaceful to sit on and look out at the lake. If you want to socialize, just take a seat inside with the locals. Kettle River Pizza isn't made in house but it is good. If you're camping at the nearby state park or have a cabin, this place is a must-stop. read more

I had no idea this little brewery was here! We found it by a simple Yelp search as we were driving down 35 on our way back from up north. We only stopped in for 1 round but enjoyed the short time we were there. Sat out on the patio and enjoyed the view of the lake. Brews were pretty dang good (that mango blonde!), service was friendly. There's no parking and they don't allow dogs... Tough mix for a brewery. The deck looks nice for the summertime but no good during the winter. The employee we spoke with was not at all pleasant. Overall, I would skip it. read more
