My go to food destination, especially for people from out of town! Such good food and a great atmosphere, plus the drinks are all amazing.

This was our 2nd visit to Rapids Brewing while we were in town and we really enjoyed it again! The space is huge, open, and roomy with plenty of seating inside and a great big patio outside. We enjoyed the patio during our 1st visit but this time around it was a little too breezy so we claimed a cozy booth inside. We tried the Jam IPA and Noble Pilsner during this visit and both were great! We haven't had a chance to try the food yet, but everything we saw coming out looked delicious. The service was also super friendly. It's such a nice place to relax and hang out while we were waiting for our AirBnB to be ready and we would definitely stop again the next time we're in town! read more

We love Rapids Brewery!!! We've been here several times on our way up to the cabin and it's always a hit! I'm not much of a drinker but the food here is amazing especially for a brewery. You order at the counter and get a buzzer then get your food from the counter when it's ready. There is ample outdoor seating and they are dog friendly which is always a plus! They often have live music outside on weekends as well. If you go on a weekend morning they have cinnamon rolls the size of your head and they are so lightweight and airy and delicious!!! The smash burger is a hit and the fries are to die for. The brisket mac and cheese is a must! such a good side to share. The mocktails and iced tea are so yummy. The Caesar salad was underwhelming and needed more dressing but does come with lots of chicken- this is an item I'd skip on the menu next time. We've gotten pizzas previously which are also good! Had a very fun time here. The hazy IPA is so good. My cousin got the Prickled Pink (?) Sour, which was a little too tart for me, but I'm picky about my sours :') I love that they have Keeper's Heart :) Had to get a little Keepers and ginger (shout out Ellie). We got the margie pizza and the prickled pink salad. Both were good, but I think I'm spoiled on margarita pizza from Punch. Wanted more goat cheese on the salad, it just came in 2 little cubes. WE LOVE RAPIDS BREWERY!!! It's our first stop on our way up to my boyfriend's parent's place in Grand Rapids! Our most recent trip, we tried the Sass-squash pizza and when I tell you I have not stopped thinking about this pizza since then I am not kidding! It was a perfect balance of flavors and so unique! Service is always amazing (they gave me a free beer for missing my fry order on first try) and I was so grateful. Additionally, we happened to stumble upon the community band performance night when we were there and it was a packed house and great to meet some of the band members and their family! Make the stop! I expect very little from food in MN when I come home to visit family. Rapids Brewery blows things outta the park. Strong, bold flavors. Mortadella sandwich is perfect. Korean tacos nailed the sweet and spicy of Korean cuisine. Salmon dip and pimento dip were excellent and elevated by the homemade pickles, olives, garlic and potato chips. Drinks: Wide variety, full bar. Loved the pink piña cider and creame ale. Lots of non alcoholic options too. Great for the whole family. Definitely need this in St. Paul or Minneapolis. Came here for the pizza and I'm a NY pizza snob. This isn't NY style but it is extremely good. The servers at the bar were very polite and helpful. Great place to listen to a band outside. I didn't stay inside but looks like a cool place to eat and hang out. I'm not a big fan of breweries because people seam like snobs but this place has everything going for itself. Stopped in for a quick nightcap before heading back to Sugar Lake Lodge. I really liked the vibe of the place. The picnic area, although too chilly to enjoy on our visit, looked like a great place to soak up some summer sun. They had the fire pit going when we arrived which ended up being a smoke break location for bar patrons. I chose the imperial stout. Woo, was that potent. Their Pilsner wasn't pouring the way they wanted so they suggested another option. Husband had the cream ale. The entertainment for the night was music bingo. They play random snippets of music and you try to full your card. We were too late to play but the other patrons looked like they were having a great time. Be prepared to pay for the credit card service fee, zero service because you order at the bar and get your own water and plates/ forks/ napkins etc. yYou bus your own table and go on a treasure hunt for a menu. The beer was well crafted but the pours were short. The jalapeño appetizers included two jalapeños. The spicy burger was as overly hot. The signature Sum Pig pizza was lacking in every way, the toppings were minuscule, and the meat was barely a speck of meat per slice, it's as if they made some light and airy toppings and tossed them in the air and hoped they landed on the pizza. Amazing first experience. Drove up from the Aitkin area cabin for an afternoon exploring the area. Had a late lunch here and it was great. Space is very nice, really liked the flow between inside and outside. Impressive food menu, and the beer selection was nice as well. Best hazy IPA I have had in northern MN and two great barrel aged beers as well. I ordered the Korean ribs, but they were out so ended up with a smash burger which was very good. They didn't figure out they were out of the ribs until after I ordered, but the service recovery was on point and very accommodating. Share the peas with the group and they were good too, though the goat cheese was doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Overall a fantastic experience and I wish our cabin was closer as I would come here for crowlers on the regular. Highly recommend. read more

This place I really enjoyed. They had whisky flights and different beer flights you can choose from. The food there also was tasty. I forgot what I had, but it had broccolini in it and man was it good!. I had to order another to go!. They had live music also when I was there. Keep in mind that the place gets really busy in the evening, so go early to get a seat, or you are standing. We went all the way to Grand Rapids for a Covid vaccination. We have been wanting to go to this brewery for awhile. It did not disappoint. We sat inside with good distancing, it was below zero outside. We enjoyed a pizza with good beer and a kombucha. The pizza was excellent as was the beer. I also brought a growler and a crowler home for future consumption. Great place to stop. read more

Food was amazing! We ordered the queso and tortilla chips. Crunchy tortilla chips and warm queso. We also ordered the nachos and they are beautifully plated- we decided to skip the jalapeños. The service was so fast! They were incredibly friendly, wanted to make sure that we had the correct and full order, and were open to making changes to orders. For drinks, we ordered the Judy Garland with the Ruby Slipper, bottled apple juice, canned Kombucha, Sparkling Lemonade, and Arnold Palmer. Yummy! Ambiance is awesome. I get it's a brewery but have some drink options for families. Bartender that took our order was just annoyed with us. Had better hopes for the food. Smash burger was alright. Spicy burger was inedible. Chicken sandwich was fried beyond being recognizable as a sandwich. The chicken was as brown on the inside as it was the outside. I highly recommend this place. The food, beer, and cocktails we had were all excellent. It's easily the best pizza I've had in a long, long time. What impressed me as well was the kitchen and bar staff. Our food was served very fast despite how busy it was, and I don't think I've ever seen a bar run so well. There were lines on both ends of the bar, and they cranked out orders in impressive fashion. We were there to see 4 On The Floor play, and the outside stage was a great setting to do so. Local breweries are definitely a part of travel these days and this spot deserves a visit. The beers are excellent. The establishment has an attached kitchen - we had the pizza and jalapeno poppers and were pleased with what we received. The only downside is that the bar doesn't offer table service - you order everything at the bar. That's not a negative, just don't go there and sit down and wait for a server or you'll be disappointed. Next time I'm in the area, I'm stopping by again. read more
