Was staying in Idaho Falls overnight and wanted to grab a coffee that wasn't from Starbucks or some other chain. While the location of the shop is a bit out of the way, I was immediately struck by the fact that every outside table was full. It's a good sign when a coffee shop that isn't in a high traffic location is busy. I went in and ordered an iced mocha. Many times when ordering a mocha somewhere else, one flavor overpowers the others. This mocha was a perfect mix of the chocolate, espresso, and milk flavors. It was smooth, creamy, and really just a fantastic mocha. Had I not been heading out, I would've loved to just sit and enjoy it, but the atmosphere seemed pretty good and it was just an overall great coffee shop. read more

Unexpectedly great coffee place in Idaho Falls. Went there for a business meeting. It has a great vibe. I had hot chocolate with cinnamon and cayenne - it was awesome. We ordered a charcuterie board that was elegant and delicious with high quality meats and cheeses with fruit and nuts and chocolate. It was perfect to nosh on during our meeting. read more

I really wanted to like this place so I've given them numerous opportunities to get it right (far too many, actually). The coffee is adequate, but their upcharge for non-dairy milk is out of line compared to other local coffee shops. The worst thing, though, is the rudeness of staff. On too many occasions I've been treated like I'm a real bother for simply asking a question. No thanks. Maybe I'm old school, but I believe good customer service, kindness, and good manners matter. I'll patronize the places that consistently treat people kindly and like valued customers, because I want to encourage more of that. And, truly, I have not been to a single other coffee shop in Idaho Falls that isn't excellent on the customer service front. EDIT: I just finished reading the owner's responses to other unhappy customers who gave Google reviews. Dare I say those responses are disrespectful at best and really beyond hostile?! Tone deaf and sarcastic "blame-ey" responses confirm why going elsewhere is a grand idea. Now ... countdown .... 3, 2, 1 before their nasty response to me (which I fully expect will come given the owner's history!). EDIT 2: This edit was made after the nasty / ignorant response from the owner on the Google review I submitted (sadly, I was right that she'd respond rudely and defensively). I have not been rude to the staff. Her accusation is a confession, and it literally made me laugh out loud. I talk about kindness in my review, because it matters, and that's how I live my life. She clearly doesn't value being a decent human ... as evidenced by all her nasty responses to customers who are less than satisfied (she calls all of us "nasty, snarky, and self-entitled". Honestly, I have never seen another business owner respond to unhappy customers in such a childish, ugly manner. They usually try to do the right thing. Sad. read more

In desperate need of a stronger coffee than hotel coffee, a group of us made our way over to Moose Ridge. We were greeted with a line out the door and made our way through to order a variety of iced coffees with cream and lattes. The two workers behind the counter looked a little overwhelmed with the amount of folks in the establishment, but they made their way through the line with patience. After about 15 minutes from start to finish, our coffees were ready and we were on our way. Pricing was decent (about $5 per coffee) and service was nice. If ever in the area again, I'd venture back here. read more

Unfortunately they use white chocolate syrup, not powder. And if you are an avid coffee drinker, you know the difference. I should have asked before I ordered it. We love Moose Ridge Coffee! And I mean LOVE IT. I spend a few hours working from my laptop at Moose Ridge Coffee every week. The atmosphere is always so clean and inviting. Plus, everyone who works here is so sweet! It's such a great place to come and unwind. My favorite menu item is the individual charcuterie board. It can easily be split between two people. I'm always finding myself unable to finish the whole thing but it's always so worth it. I enjoy trying the seasonal coffee flavors. The iced lemon white chocolate lattes were my favorite through the spring. I'm excited to try the Huckleberry lattes next! I've also had the green tea latte and mocha. Both are reliable options. We've tried several pastries here as well and really enjoyed the turnovers. My least favorite thing on the menu was probably the avocado toast. The chili flakes & micro greens just didn't do it for me but that's a personal preference. Amber is great! She has served me almost every time I've been to Moose Ridge Coffee & I'm not just saying she's great because we have the same name. We'll be moving out of state soon and I'm really going to miss spending time here. read more

This place is a moose-visit. It's not too often that you wish your rating could go much higher than five stars. This is one of those circumstances. Here you have a locally owned coffee shop with an amazing vibe and stellar quality. Their passion for excellence is evident in everything they have to offer. Clearly, the owners have great coffee knowledge in terms of quality products and great execution of their barista skill set. Beau, one of the owners, said, "We only put good things on the menu. If it's not on the menu, it's probably not good." I can vouch for his bold statement. Everything I've tried, from the pastries, to a wide variety of beverage samplings has been completely enjoyable. For a limited time until Valentine's Day, Moose Ridge has a Napoleon. This so good it should be illegal! Flakey, sweet with strawberries and a chocolate drizzle. Super good. Coffee is good, too. Mine is a White Chocolate Cayenne Mocha. Can't beat it. read more

We visited this coffee shop twice over the weekend. The first visit I had an amazingly flavorful hot chai tea. Smooth and spicy. It was so good we decided to grab coffee here on our way out of town on Monday. The smell of fresh baking greeted us when we walked in the door and my husband couldn't resist grabbing a warm berry scone to go with his coffee. He's eaten scones all over the world and he actually said this one was the best he's ever eaten. If you haven't tried this local coffee shop you are definitely missing a delightful treat. On top of great drinks and food, the staff were warm and friendly and the facility was spotless! We will definitely be stopping by on our next trip through Idaho Falls! read more

This little treasure was right behind our hotel, so I walked over to try it out. Moose Ridge Coffee is a delightful looking shop with a welcoming fireplace and a delectably beautiful assortment of baked goodies to greet you as you enter. The staff is friendly and warm. I am normally a coconut milk person, but was ok with the oat milk since it was GMO free. I ordered a dirty chai with oat milk (a little extra sweet) and a berry ricotta toast. Hubby had a cappuccino and avocado toast. All of it was both beautiful and delicious! You can taste real ingredients and nothing tastes better. read more

Our hotel was in the parking lot. While the shop was clean and quiet, it took a long time to get my coffee. I ordered a caramel mocha. Apparently you have 3 flavor options. Vanilla, hazel nut and caramel. That's it. I ordered a 12 Oz caramel mocha. When it finally came it was cold. Like seriously you could gulp it down cold. And it was probably 75 percent foam. 6 and a half bucks. We transferred it to a to go cup and took it back to our room. Staff was not friendly. read more

Finally, a proper coffee culture shop in Idaho Falls. As opposed to Dutch Bros and StarBucks, which serve coffee from over-roasted months-old coffee beans (read about it, makes it cheap), these folks have excellent artisanal single origin and blended coffees--in a grade other than dark roast only. They do also have the frilly sugar coffees if that's what you need, but this is the ONLY shop in Idaho Falls that knows how to steam milk to make proper micro foam (Latte Art would be impossible otherwise). I really love coffee and it's hard to find a good, well-rounded coffee shop. It's especially hard to find one in IF. My parents were visiting from out of the country so I decided to take them to Moose Ridge (a first for all of us) for a little Saturday morning getaway from the kiddos. When we walked in, it was fairly empty. The vibe was a little weird. Definitely not what I would describe as warm and inviting. There were plenty of menu options, but holy smokes are they outrageously priced!! For the four of us to have a drink and food item each, it was over $50 total One of the drinks was misheard when we ordered however, they were happy to fix it and apologetic for the mistake. The drinks weren't stirred well though, so when my Mom and husband got to the bottom of their drinks, they were disgustingly sweet. I was glad to be the the slow drinker because I got the warning and was able to swirl what was left of my drink so it wasn't too bad when I got to the end. My mom ordered the lavender white mocha and said it was stronger than others she has tried. My husband got the lemon white mocha and it was fairly balanced. My Dad and I got your typical white mocha and it was also good. Overall, the experience was just OK but based on the prices alone, we would only go back here as a treat every so often. read more

Every time we go to or through Idaho Falls we make sure to visit Moose Ridge Coffee Company. It is a terrific establishment that gets 5 stars on all the things for which we look. It has a very friendly and helpful staff that will do all they can to make your visit enjoyable. It has a variety of delicious foods that are freshly made right there every day. My particular favorite is the breakfast pastry, and you want to ask for it early because it goes fast and when it is gone it is gone. There is a wide selection of hot beverages ranging from good old black coffee to fancy coffees to organic teas. There are also cold beverages and, they have a kid's menu, too. The establishment is spotless and well maintained, and you can enjoy indoor and outdoor seating. You can even sit indoor by a fireplace if you choose. What more could you ask for? So, we highly recommend the Moose Ridge Coffee Company and if you visit just for the coffee, I assure you they have excellent coffee. read more
