Stopped by here because it was recommended by a family member and I can see why! Easily the best ice cream I've ever had. You can literally taste the difference of it being fresh/homemade. If you're there during fall, definitely try the pumpkin ice cream..think of the pumpkin pie blizzard from Dairy Queen but 100x better! They've also got flavored milks in their cooler to choose from, different cheeses and more! Then if you want while eating your ice cream, you can go outside to the petting zoo! A must-stop for us while in Idaho Falls! My husband and his family frequented Reeds Dairy while growing up and luckily for me, I have no become part of this tradition! They have outdoor seating with shade and ample seating inside. A huge refrigerated section with dairy products and ample ice cream and sorbet options. They do permit samples, which is nice on those more bold flavor options! I would love to try out some of their delicious Grilled Cheese options on my next visit, but have just tried their Ice Cream. Their classics, such as Cookies N Cream is always a winner, but this last visit we tried one of their flavor specials, Gorilla Munch. Banana Ice Cream, with peanut butter swirls and oreo cookies. This very well may be one of my new favorite flavors! It was absolutely delicious. Saw Reed's dairy while driving through town, randomly decided to give it a try and it was great!! We came in at 9 pm on Saturday, weren't the only customers there but there was almost no line. The store was fully staffed by teenagers - albeit polite and courteous ones. I got a single scoop split, and they were kind to also get me fresh scoops from a fresh tub as I'm allergic to peanuts. The store also carries milk, butter, and large batches of ice cream, but I didn't purchase any of these. Since it was nighttime, we didn't go take a look at the animals nearby. This was a fun place to get some ice cream. It was a little too sweet for our tastes but I was still good.

Grubbed on a grilled cheese and bowl of tomato soup before my flight back home. The size was generous. It took no more than 5 minutes and the it cost less than $3! The employees are friendly and know their products. Waves of customers come in and while I was there, the employees handle all the rushes very well. The farm out back holds pigs, cows and goats. The smell isn't so friendly but the animals are. I would suggest finishing eating first then coming to visit the animals. Parking was okay. It fills up but there is street parking. My only dislike was the lack of salt in the grilled cheese. The sandwich taste a little sweet because there wasn't a lot of salt but its preference. Tips: - Sit outside, it gets pretty crowded inside. - The bathroom is located in the office across the parking lot. - They have pretty inexpensive lunch specials. Yep you heard that right. If you are a farm kid you get it. At this working dairy you can go to the petting zoo or the Dairy Ice Cream shop and get ice cream. Local favorite is Huckleberry. This dairy ice cream store has been here as long as I can remember. Reed's ice cream is in most of the stores here and served at many of the local restaurants. If you go here you can also purchase glass bottles of milk or better yet have it delivered to your home. In Idaho Falls you can still have a milk man deliver your dairy to your front door. What an awesome thing. There is a sign somewhere in Idaho that says welcome to Idaho set your clock back 100 years. It's about true. How many areas do you know that you can still get milk bottles delivered to your front door? Enjoy your trip down memory lane with a milkshake or a malted.
