It had…read more15,000 miles on it when we bought it, the price changed significantly when we went to pick it up and we were sold some warranty that was an extra $3,000. Short version is the check engine light came on a few weeks later, they wanted to charge $300 to diagnose it and ended up saying it needed a part that was on national back order. Asked about the warranty since we were never given paperwork for that. They say there's no warranty besides the factory warranty so we're responsible unless it's engine or transmission related. Check engine light does not classify as engine apparently. 10 months went by, I finally went in to get a refund for the part and was going to buy it online. Magically it was in stock. They wanted more to install it, so I did it myself. Light came back on and they assured me they did a thorough test. Looked up the code online and multiple people said to check a sensor easily accessed in the back. Wasn't even plugged in. Plugged it in, fixed. You'd think that would have been seen in the thorough inspection and diagnosis. During that time I noticed the hood bubbling. Was told "they all do that". Body shop would not return phone calls and said it's not worth fixing when I finally did talk to someone. Frustrated I called corporate and they told me they don't do much because even though it's covered 7 year 70k warranty for anti rust/corrosion, the dealerships are independently owned and they don't have to fix it by choice. So zero help there. Tried parkway, another dealer off Telegraph, all had the same story. Was about to give up and decided to call Dick Heuvarre. SOO glad we did!! There was a wait but Corey the body shop manager was on top of it. Had us come in to take pictures, set up an appointment a month or so out. Dropped off, gave us a rental in the meantime and end of the week it was like new. The entire experience is what I would expect from any dealership but they not only met my expectations, they exceeded them. We dropped the vehicle off pretty filthy with 2 kids and just returning from a road trip the day before we were on a time crunch to get it there. Everybody and I mean everybody was friendly, punctual, professional, and the grand slam was they even washed the entire vehicle and even cleaned out and vacuumed the whole inside. Like a complete detail. Talk about going the extra mile. There were no surprises except when we picked it up and it was completely clean in and out. Truly exceptional service. Cannot say enough good things about this dealership and they definitely have us as customers for life. Thank you so so much everyone! They're courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Although they're very busy with many repair bays, they can still do a fairly quick turn around on your repair. Their towing service has also come in handy once or twice. No matter the problem, Lakeside Auto Care is the place to go. Repairs are never cheap, and they never happen at a good time, but it's good to know that they'll get you back on the road quickly and efficiently.

I asked them to perform an alignment on my Mazda this week after I replaced the suspension components myself a couple months ago. In doing so I had screwed up the alignment enough that I thought it would spin out without warning! They were a bit reluctant obviously because I had done the work (and I was reluctant to ask them) but they were able to find and correct the error to make my car drive straight and true again. Once they were able to get around to my car, they did an inspection and found a washer that I'd installed in the wrong place! :-D They were then able to realign the wheels relatively quickly and easily. And the cost was slightly less than other places I'd surveyed. (I was worried they might lose money on this job.) I no longer fear my car will spin out from misalignment. And now I can get new tires without worrying about chewing them up! They gave me the before-and-after numbers, so if the tire place tries to say I need an alignment, I can just wave that at them. :-D Really hope I get to work with Kerner's in the future. Car is now fine but if you have Lincoln as this, you might have this problem also...the water pump is in the engine, not on the outside. My car only has 60,000 miles on it. My Mercedes had an ongoing problem of eating Drive Belts. I spent a lot of money replacing it twice…read moreby two different repair shops, along with idler pulleys and a power steering pump. When the belt started squeaking again, I was told I needed to replace the alternator. I was lucky enough walk into South Street Auto Repair. They diagnosed an oil leak was causing the squeak (not the alternator LOL). Drake stayed in touch with me daily, as they walked me through different diagnostics, repairs and costs. They fixed my squeaky belt, oil leaks, manifold leak and failed ignition coil. Brian my mechanic was very cleanly working on my car and paid attention to every detail. Finally, my exhaust is quiet, my belt is not squeaking and a slight engine hesitation that has been on going is resolved. I can't say enough good about this repair facility. I would have saved a lot of time and money if they were the first shop I would have been my first repair shop!!!
