Not only did they not fix it, but told me on a neccessary "inspection" that the whole cap needed to be replaced with a $3500 custom made copper whole new cap, but also told me the flashing was not properly installed around the chimney and needed to be redone. The fact that their company, representing Chimcare, took no responsibility for the incorrect work done and that the stainless steel cap had a lifetime warranty on it, apparently meant nothing to them even with pointing these issues out. These guys are hucksters in my opinion and I will be making a formal complaint to Chimcare national.

His job was to inspect and take photos only, not repair. After not hearing from the company I made several phone calls and email follow ups with the office personnel and was told that someone would be out to fix the problems. No one called to followed up. I finally went to Home Depot and bought some products to seal up the cracks, etc.. I am 76 and shouldn't be climbing up on a roof but I wanted to make the necessary repairs before winter. In April, 2020, I paid this company over $4,000 to repair my chimney. I was given a 12 year warranty on the crown repair, flashing replacement and tuck pointing. Evidently this company does not honor their stated warranties. I would love to hear from someone from this company and make things right.

The overall process was not as smooth as we expected from System Pavers given its name and pricing tier. There were several miscommunications and/or mistakes that we had to catch and bring up ourselves (sometimes repeatedly), which was disappointing and stressful. However, at the end of the day, everything did get addressed to our satisfaction and for that, we're thankful for the team we had.

I was able to schedule a free consultation on their website the next week and had Dan come by. I am a pretty indecisive person but Dan did an amazing job taking my vision and helping it come to life. The estimate was done the same day, I felt some pressure to sign the deal that day but negotiated what I thought was fair. I was originally told a time frame 1-2 weeks earlier than what happened, which is one of the reasons why this is losing a star. Eric, the construction manager, came by with Dan a few weeks later to do an initial construction walk through and he also suggested adding another level/ stairs and helped me figure out a drain situation. I appreciated the feedback and ideas. Overall, both Dan and Eric went the extra mile and were responsive when I reached out. The week of construction, communication on when they were coming, progress, etc could have been better from the Crew itself but it is a sub-contractor.. (which is the other reason for one less star). The team worked hard in 80+ degree heat 5 days in a row, were very polite to me and the job was done quickly. Eric did a final walkthrough with me and I pointed out a couple minor flaws and they were quickly repaired the following week to my satisfaction. Overall, I recommend this company as they back up their product and have a good warranty. It is pricey, yes, but I believe this is a good investment and I have really loved spending time in my new yard. Thanks!

This was my first time doing a project of this size for myself. I wanted a 30'x50' metal RV garage built on a concrete slab with an 80' asphalt driveway on my 5 acre property. I contracted for surveying, engineering, geotechnical support, and worked with the county for all permitting. After selecting my metal building contractor, I called Leo's company for an estimate after seeing the many positive reviews he had on Google and Yelp. In the excavating, concrete, and asphalt areas, I had a difficult time finding single contractors that did all three areas. Besides Leo's estimate, I was able to obtain one other. Other contractors would say they worked in all three areas but upon visiting my site, they would say they just did one area but had contacts that could provide estimates in the other areas. Leo's site visit and subsequent interactions put me completely at ease. He had done his homework, deep diving the plans I had sent him. His estimate was in the ballpark of the other and he provided pictures of his other jobs that proved that he had more than enough expertise to complete my project. Over the course of my project, I came to rely upon Leo to help me overcome obstacle after obstacle due to my inexperience working across the trades and with the county. In one example, we had a conference call to talk to the engineer to determine how best to build up the ground to make it level for the slab with a mostly level driveway that would drain properly, and T'd from the original driveway. In another example, I did not find the building permit on the county's electronic system until after the concrete slab had been poured. The first geotechnical report had made "suggestions" that the county made "mandatory" in the building permit, one of which was having a geotechnical expert write an assessment after the forms were constructed and before concrete was poured. I was able to have the geotechnical engineer visit the site and inspect after the fact. Leo made himself available to answer questions and he had pictures of the rebar and forms. A positive report was developed that satisfied the county. Leo told me that he likes jobs that are my size and up to 12 homes at a time so he can be responsive to his commitments. For me, he was on site when he said he would be. The size of his crew was always right for the job at hand and no one was ever not fully engaged. If you have a major self-funded project and are looking for someone you can trust on your team, look no farther than Leo Lopez and Lovaz Excavating LLC.
