Two weeks ago my husband was traveling through the area on business. After car issues for a two…read moremiles radius and down to only two gears, he knew it was the transmission going out. Locals referred him to this location as it was close to where he was working. He was able to get a hotel room on a Friday night which the employees at this location took him to and picked him up the following morning on Saturday to give him the diagnosis. Not good news. Tranny was shot after almost 300 thousand miles. Said, they'd never seen a vehicles engine look so good after going so long! Not bad for a GMC that's a 2005! Anyway, my husband had to rent a car to get back home as they said our car wouldn't be ready until Wednesday 10/3. They had to rebuild the transmission and order all the parts. Things went smoothly and the technician and owner were on top of getting my car done. Communication was great. Ben was keeping my husband update on the progress. We left our area early on the 3rd and arrived in town to pick up our vehicle. Dropped off the rental and they took us over to AMMCO. Our wait was a little more a than 45 minutes as they were finishing up a few last details and wanted to take it on a test drive. I started looking up the review after I "checked in". I was so worried that we might have been the next casualty?! I thought that things had gone so smooth for us, but was concerned with what I saw customers write about their experiences. I'm happy to say we didn't have a negative outcome. They were accommodating to our payment plan, all the work is under warranty- which is good at ANY AMMCO location. We recently just drove over 688 miles with NO ISSUES! Car is running like a dream. Our situation and service with this location felt honest, we tended to believe our vehicle was a priority and the repairs process went well. We also found that the price they charged us was fair and that we weren't ripped off. We were thankful for the referral and happy with the results.

This place is a scam. I brought in my 2020 Camaro for a fluid exchange because I was experiencing a…read moreshudder. After their "diagnostic," they told me they were getting a code and when I looked up the code it was related to the engine, not the transmission, and claimed I couldn't just do a fluid exchange. Instead, they recommended a full rebuild, saying my transmission fluid was contaminated. When I asked to see the fluid, they told me they don't take pictures. I then asked what the fluid actually looked like, and the employee said he'd check with his technician. He already seemed irritated at this point. He went to the back, came back, and simply repeated that the fluid was contaminated. When I pressed again for details, he said he didn't know because the technician wasn't there, which made no sense since he had just said he went to ask him. At that point, I decided to get a second opinion. The employee became dismissive and said another shop would tell me the same thing. I told him that's exactly why I wanted a second opinion. I ended up taking my car to Pro Trans Automotive in Riverside, where they informed me there's a known issue (Bulletin posted by chevy) with my vehicle and that a simple fluid exchange with updated fluid is a common fix. I had it done, and the shudder is completely gone. No rebuild needed. The difference in honesty and customer service was night and day. This shop tried to upsell me on a major repair I didn't need, while the other shop fixed the issue correctly and affordably. I would not trust this location. Take your car somewhere else. (Highly recommend Pro Trans Automotive if you are in the Inland Empire)

Great value, Good Service. These guys are lifesavers. Restored my faith in people and business…read moreintegrity. The first time I came here the AAA battery guy told me I needed an alternator. So a different AAA driver came to do the tow. When he saw where the battery guy recommended he said they recommended certain businesses that are essentially AAA approved but the last person he sent there he had to be towed a week later from the repair place and he ended up taking his car here to Diaz Auto Mechanic. It was the best decision I could've made. There was nothing wrong with the alternator it just needed a new battery. They could have lied and took me for a bunch of money I didn't have but they are honest and I appreciate that. If I don't have to bring my vehicles any where else I will not. I'm a single white woman and my entire life I've been hosed in repairs in everything from cars to household repairs. When I find some I can trust I will not go anywhere else and I recommend them everyone I know. This is that place for car repairs. It's a completely added bonus that their prices are more reasonable than anywhere else.

The car would still would idle within spec. They diagnosed it said let's start with a spark plug ,throttle body cleaning and throttle relearn. These services would cost over 700 dollars. I agree to the services. 2 weeks later I pick up my car to a undrivable surging idle. The car is reving up and down on its own. I pay for the services he provided, spark plug and throttle body cleaning. It cost me over 500 dollars. The mechanic said some one else was working on the car. I've owned the car for about three years and done nothing but oil changes and brakes. Took my car to so cal Z in Colton and the diagnosed it top to bottom and said your 1st problem was a simple vacuum leak. Then your 2nd problem was damaged throttle bodies and your 3rd problem is 2007 nissan 350z ecu is very fussy and will need to get sent off to be reprogrammed. Picked up the car 2 weeks later. The car is still has a high idle but much closer to spec gave it some time for the ecu to relearn. Performed a couple throttle relearns on my own and the car is back to normal. Now the biggest problem I have here is that im out of 3000 dollars for a simple vacuum leak
