Had pre-purchase inspection on a BMW X5 done by John. His assessment was very in-depth - much more than I would have expected. He charged me $110 (less than half the cost at the dealership. He identified many great aspects about the vehicle. But most importantly he identified the need for new rotors and brakes, and found metal shavings when he removed the oil filter cover to observe the oil and filter. This was an unfortunate deal breaker for the purchase but saved me from making a $25k mistake and buying a car that may have cost me many thousands more in repairs and potential engine failure. This shop is why mechanics get a bad rep, they will take over a day to check your car and once you get the call it will start with "wow your car needs a lot of work" then continues the heartbreaking news of services that are not needed. Scare tactics from slimy mechanic, engine Might need replacement, you might need new transmission, etc etc. The goal is to cross-sell you every service you do not need, and the service that is needed isn't even done right. Seeing the car alone is about $130 Then you get the soap opera phone call. I was told I would need to put in 7k in my car to fix and went to a honest mechanic and got everything fixed for 1500. These guys will tell you your leaking oil, your lines are clogged, the transmissions going out, you need replacement for A,B and C, they just looking for that mechanic special. DO NOT TRUST CORRALS! I had my car towed to this shop; they had it for more than a month. HORRIBLE IDEA. I should have read the reviews first. My BMW was diagnosed at this shop. John called and started with, "It's worse than I thought." He proceeded to list many things that was wrong with the car. He suggested to rebuild the engine. They could not do the rebuild for whatever reason. He stated that a used engine would cost about $.7100. He then stated that he would need $4,000 to start the job. I questioned that decision. We agreed to $3,000 down. I then started to question the shop, so I started reading the reviews. Several of the reviews sounded just like my situation, but with different repair needs. I wanted to take my car elsewhere, but the engine was already taken apart. To make a long story short, I paid and drove my car away. The drive-train warning light came on before I left the driveway. I returned. John stated that the engine light will come on because the turbo-buster needed to be replaced. I took it to BMW of Riverside. They questioned weather the engine should have been replace in the first place, but did say the turbo-buster needed to be replaced. I serviced my Mercedes Benz here for an oil change at its 42k miles. About two weeks ago it started leaking oil, so I took it to the dealer to get it checked. My service advisor said the leak was due to a bad oil change where the gasket was not replaced. It was gonna cost me $249 to re-do the oil change and that I was entitled to get my money back from Corral M&B Repair, since the service was not properly done. I went to them as advised and the mechanic was pretty rude about it. He started accusing me of lying, even tho I had paperwork from the dealer stating a leaking problem was found and repaired ( I'm pretty sure he couldn't even read it, since he was only speaking Spanish) He offered a 10% discount. But does he really think I would take it back to him? So...from my experience, I definitely would NOT recommend anyone take their vehicle to this shop. read more

I was going to this shop for 3 years and I thought they were alright and everyone was just giving them a hard time in the reviews but NO all those comments are so true this shop is Horrible they said they changed my oil I had another mechanic check it and he said my oil was black meaning they didn't change anything also they wanted to over charge me . Last time going there they have lost my business for good . I have a receipt for 270 dollars only for labor NO PARTS yet they said I needed a part added to my car the BAR should be called on this shop . They did absolutely nothing and kept my money karma will forsure come back . Also my car was losing power and missing something from the engine for the FIRST time in 2 years my engine light came on after having left this shop . Sadly, I didn't want to write this review, but felt I had to due to the service that I received. Initially, I brought my 2006 BMW M3 to Corral's to have two issues diagnosed; VANOS and DTS system. I was told the car would be taken care of no problem, and they would let me know. I called at 5pm, after the car sat the entire day, and was told it hadn't been looked at yet. So, I picked up the car and brought it back the next day. It took me three days to hear back about the problems and was quoted almost $9,000 by my technician there, John. I had them leave out replacing the VANOS (for which I did myself), and had them replace the DTS computer, clutch and fix some oil leaks, in the area of 5,000$. Keep in mind, I was told that both the rear main seal and oil pan gasket were leaking oil, but the car had never dropped a drop of oil in my garage before; I opted to have them just replace them for good measure. Three weeks later, I received a call that my car was finished and ready for pickup. I picked up the car and brought it home, thinking my issues were solved... they weren't. Upon driving the car home, I noticed that one of my gauges wasn't working and that there was a loud drive-line noise to be heard between 2300-2700rpm. After a very concerning drive back home, I opened up the hood to give it a quick look. I discovered that the sensor for the gauge was unplugged, and nowhere to be found. I also found brake fluid all over the compartment and the brake master cylinder to be overfilled and over-flowing brake fluid. It also looks as though when they bled my brakes, they didn't use any tubes to redirect the fluid, and just opened the valves and let the fluid spurt all over the calipers and suspension arms. I also have a very costly set of StopTech 6-pot big brake kit, so when they just let the fluid drain all over it, it ruined the powder coat on all four pistons, which cost over 1000$ per corner. There was also oil and finger prints all over my engine bay, like no one really cared for my car. Upon pulling my car out of the garage, I noticed oil on the ground....and multiple drops, only after sitting for a couple hours. After bringing the car back, I got the gauge sensor and asked about the noise; John told me it was the tires and nothing that they did, in a very un-caring fashion, like I was bothering him even asking. I then brought up the oil leaking and he told me to bring it by and that he'd look at it. At this point, I had lost ALL trust in the business, and didn't even trust them to clean up their work in fear of them creating more problems with the vehicle. I brought the car to BMW of Riverside to have them fix Corral's mess, and was told that there was driveline damage done to the vehicle from Corral's pulling the transmission that created the noise while driving, and the oil leaks were coming from oil lines that were moved in an improper fashion by Corral's, which caused them to crack and leak. Sadly, the damage cause by Corral's cost in the thousands, for which I can only assume they would deny, shrug off, and tell me it probably wasn't their fault. It's not even worth my time to try and call them. I'm a military member, and thought Corral's would be easy because it's across the street from March ARB. After this experience, I'm urging everyone I know on base with a BMW or Mercedes to steer well clear of this place. read more

I'm amazed this place of business is still around town. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere! I brought my CLK 55 AMG here thinking they would fix the issue with my vehicle. I slammed a few grand and still, my car problem was never resolved. With the amount I paid, I should have just taken it to Walter's Mercedes. It's funny that they even took a picture of my car and post it on here without my consent. Hell, even with the pictures posted proves how much of an act they put on. I took my car in a while ago to get a tune up. BMW 2007 335i. They did great work however I asked them if they were going to use OEM parts and they said they were. I took it to a dealership later and asked them to check the spark plugs (that were changed at Corrals). They weren't OEM (they used Bosch). They are still perfectly fine and maybe even better than OEM. But I didn't return just cuz I felt it was a little dishonest. If they would've just been up front it could've been the start of a loyal customer. Still good work though. read more

Where do I start from?....This place has so many issues from bait and switch to lack of care for their customer's cars and property. One would think that since they are a family run business they would take good care of their customers but in contrary they only care about turning a quick buck. If you care about your car take it somewhere else. If you don't care take it to JOHN at CORRAL's Mercedes and BMW. Here my experience and you be the judge. My BMW's water pump broke down in Moreno Valley. I was debating whether to get it towed home some 30 miles away or to get it repaired locally. I own a 325i and a Z4 both have the M54 engine so I'm very familiar with the water pump and the other cooling system components. I started making calls to towing companies and looking for BMW independent mechanics. Unfortunately the only close one that came up was CORRAL's Mercedes and BMW (They had 0 review on Yelp). The towing back to my trusted mechanic was going to cost me about the same as repairing the water pump locally. I spoke to JOHN at CORRAL's Mercedes and BMW and he said to bring it over to their shop and they "WILL TAKE CARE OF ME"...I got a quote from him for the repairs and although I could get the work done at my mechanic for $100 less I figured as long as they do a good job I can get my car fixed there quickly and pick it up the next week. After all it was just the water pump, a couple of belts and possibly the thermostat, it' such a routine thing to fix on these models they cannot screw it up. So I dropped off my car with JOHN at CORRAL's Mercedes and BMW that Friday. I did a walkthrough around the car with them and I also explained that the window regulator on the driver side is going bad so do not lower the window all the way because it might not want to go back up (The lady made note of that on the inspection paper). The next morning JOHN called me and said that the thermostat, drive belt, ac belt, idle pulley, tensioner pulley need to be replaced. I said fine what's the additional cost, he wanted to charge an additional $450 (that's parts + additional 1.5 hour labor) to replace those items. Keep in mind when you replace the water pump you have to take off those same belts and have access to all the pulleys. So basically the 1.5 hour would be for he thermostat which is exposed next to he water pump and has 3 bolts. I asked him if it was the best he could do and he said that he was giving me good deal. I called 3 BMW dealerships and checked on the parts, called my mechanic looked up the work involved online. And my conclusion is that I was getting ripped off. I wasn't going to pay around $900 (including taxes) for a water pump and thermostat job. I decided to pay for the extra towing and get my car back home. Next day when I went and talked to JOHN about possibly reducing the charges he insisted it's the best he could do. So then I told him I will take the car. He had a smirk and said oh it's not drivable. I told him it's ok I have a tow truck on the way. Then he got kinda upset and said he needs an hour to put it back together and that I have to pay for the tow and inspection. I said fine I paid him what I owed and I let the tow truck driver know that it will be an hour. JOHN then gave me some shady proposal that he could do it for less without warranty, which I declined. NOW the CRAZY part, after 20 mins he said the car is ready. I looked at the car and they had rolled down the window I asked them not to. I pointed that out and he just shrugged it off. I went outside and I called the tow truck that the car is now ready and waited on the main street for him to show up. When the tow truck arrived I pointed him to the entrance of the garage and walked around to watch him load the car. STUPID JOHN had started the car and was driving it off the garage with the broken water pump and coolant spewing from below and inside the engine bay. The car was making a terrible noise as now the belts had coolant on them and the water pump bearings were completely shot. when he saw me walking he quickly shut it off. When I confronted him about it he just smiled and said oh it's no big deal it will not overheat which really confirmed all my doubt about this place. He was giving me the idiot's answer knowing that the last thing you want to do is start/drive the car in that condition. I just walked away before losing my temper. When I checked my car and how they put it back together many of the plastic clips for the fan shroud and around the radiator were broken. In summary DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE be warned. I'm also reporting this to the better business bureau. And definitely will be posting it on all the E46 online boards. What CORRAL's Mercedes and BMW does not realize is the quick buck they made will cost them thousands in the long term. I will post pictures and additional material as I have more time read more

This shop has very regrettable customer service. I was told that the baterry i had purchased from them had a warranty plan but yet they refuse to even look at it to fulfill the warranty. I requested further information and was constantly stalled by employees at the shop saying thay John was the only one that could do anything. After a week and a half of follow up calls on my part John finally spoke to me only to give me his sarcastic tone of voice and making it clear he was not going to take a look at my situation because "that's not how things work here". In few words he told me to get lost and hung up on me. They'll overcharge at every opportunity they get, very very regrettable experience. Took in my bmw, they diagnosed and repaired the problem but in order to get warranty on the repair they made me buy something I didnt need and had replaced myself prior to taking it to them. They told me not to come back after i showed them proof that i had replaced that part that i didnt need. Id only take it there for a second or third opinion on a repair or service. I had taken my GL 450 to a shop in Redlands it would have problems starting once the vehicle had been driven for a while. I would have to sit in the heat for about 2 minutes until it started they told me that I had a bad key.. Ummmm ok that didn't make sense but ok. They kept my vehicle for 2 weeks of course I was extremely heated! Welp the next day the same thing no start! I found Corrals and was pleased, the lil lady at the front desk was really sweet they kept me updated with everything as said. I really liked that, needles to say they found the issue witch wasn't the key it was the battery and the ignition switch I had to have those two items replaced I am extremely grateful I will be taking my vehicles back to them again it only took 1 week for them to complete thanks guys!!
