Antoine and his team came to my rescue following a MAJOR dishwasher leak that left my kitchen, living room, dining room, and front entrance with water damage. The tile and hardwood floors needed to be removed and about 2-3ft of all of the walls. Downstairs in my finished basement resulted in practically a gut job due to the water damage. I utilized ServPro for restoration and one of the workers recommended Morgan Contractors to as they have worked with Antoine and his team in the past and said his quality work is amazing and he's good to work with. Antoine came out immediately to see the house and provide an estimate within days of coming out and to provide his expertise and recommendations when working with my insurance company. The adjustor provided by my insurance company was not the fastest worker.. so I was actually able to provide Antoine's estimate to the adjustor who then used the estimate to complete his part of the insurance part. Antoine continued to be available for phone calls or quick email responses for the million questions I had. Thank god he has such experience working with insurance companies on these type jobs because he continued with his advice and recommendations for me to utilize when dealing with my insurance and mortgage company which is why I was able to get the check in somewhat of a timely manner. If I didn't have to deal with my insurance and mortgage company, this would have been a very easy process with Antoine and Morgan Contractors. He and his team have been incredibly communicative and professional throughout this massive project. They started the project early and ended ahead of time and were so easy to work with. They went above and beyond in my bathroom that was not affected by the leak, I chose to do some renovations but couldn't afford too much and they even painted the room for me without charging me! All in all, we had a pretty good experience with Morgan Contractors. It was a big job from the attic to the basement, that took a lot of time & effort. Antione said they could handle it and it really took some time and doing, but they eventually got it all done. We can't say enough as to his crew, they really work hard to keep things moving along, and provided some quality work, craftsmanship, and personableness throughout a massive project. Morgan Contractors built our new kitchen exactly as we wanted it. The Morgan employees were very professional, thorough, great craftsmen and builders. The 450 square foot kitchen was demolished down to the studs and rebuilt to perfection. If ever anything was not perfect, it was corrected until it became perfect. The 1904 home brought some inevitable surprises which delayed the job, but nothing they couldn't handle. Everything took longer than expected, but demo, cabinet installation, floor, tile work, trim work, window/door installs were all done to our satisfaction, sometimes surpassing our expectations. The team was friendly, neat, respectful and professional. Any issues that came up were addressed, they are concerned about keeping their customer (us) happy. Avoid doing business with Antoine Bullock and Morgan Contractors. SAVE YOUR TIME AND HARD EARNED MONEY!!! ESPECIALLY do NOT give him a large deposit. Read up on Consumer Rights in NJ and do not pay more than 10% at the beginning of a contract. Antoine was terrible to work with. It was like dragging a dead dog to get ANYTHING done! He had our money and drug his feet in the hopes we would just go away. He owes thousands of dollars for work he was paid for but did not perform. We have sent him at least 3 letters of complaints and demands for performance. Terrible at communication! Believe the other BAD REVIEWS!!! Came up with just excuse after excuse for lack of accountability, shoddy work, lack of communication, etc. Shoddy work! We gave him EVERY chance to perform and he failed. He does not properly supervise and coordinate his crew. He has no idea what is going on and does not care about the quality or lack thereof of work performed. Exposes families to undue COVID risk!!! If you are looking for a disaster, go ahead hire this company, otherwise run, run far away. We hired them for a gut Reno and addition, and the headache started on day 2. Right after getting our first deposit, they brought garbage and debris from another construction site and dumped it on our yard. It never got better from there. From the bloated change order to the subpar work, the list is too long. All they care about is draw before the work is complete and as if that is not enough, they will stop responding looking for you to fire them while they are ahead with your cash in their pockets. I received a quote for some work on my kitchen that was very reasonable and after reading some of the yelp reviews I decided to go with someone else which I regretted very much. This time when I needed some work done, I decided to look past the reviews and give them a try... and I'm so glad I did. Best decision of my life! They redid my back entryway, retiled my foyer, fixed some water damage on my ceiling among some other jobs. Poor communication. Would not respond to emails when I would express legitimate concerns. Mediocre work. The crew was expected to rush through the job as quickly as possible. Project ran several weeks over. There were weeks where there was no one on the job site and it was never due to a delay by the town. Project scope did not take into account all elements required to properly finish the job, so found multiple change orders and extra costs stacking up very quickly. And I'm still left having to pay someone else to resolve some of the issues left due to the poor scoping. The experience was stressful and the outcome was disappointing. On the plus side, the crew is AWESOME. The owner is lucky to have them. read more

Antoine Bullock took a deposit of $5,285 in August of last year. Project was supposed to be completed by the end of September. Worked a day and a half doing $950 of work (per his contract). Each time we met, he advised me of what he forgot to put in the contract and the price kept rising. He has done nothing since last September and I advised him that I didn't want him back. He claims that I breached the contract and refuses to return unearned money. Public record shows his home is in foreclosure by a bank and large federal tax liens have been filed on the property.
