Came wine tasting in Walla Walla. The prices for hotels there were ridiculous. My husband found this place. When we pulled up I was very concerned about the place. It looked old and cheap. I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean and well appointed the room was. The only negative is the bed was really hard. I mean really hard. My husband slept well, I did not. We booked a room and loved everything about the Morgan Inn & Suites! The nice family who has this hotel shows true pride of ownership! They did everything possible to make our stay relaxing and pleasant. Our room was spotless, well stocked, fresh and clean! I have to add the linens, towels, and other items were of higher-than-normal quality! Our room had a big flatscreen TV and our AC worked great! Our little "cabin" also had a 5' refrigerator, sink, MW, coffee maker, a built in two burner countertop stove, and well stocked kitchen: plates, bowls, cups, flatware, cooking utensils, pots, pans... The free breakfast in the morning was beyond a roll and coffee! I made our reservations by phone, quick and EZ! We plan to stay here on our next trip to Milton Freewater! read more

The Morgan Inn is great!! I go to Walla Walla often and usually stay in town, but the place I had been staying (large chain hotel) has TRIPLED its prices since this winter! After some looking around I decided to try the Morgan Inn based on price. I am so happy I did! The family is kind and welcoming, my room was very clean, and up to date. Everything I could need was there. The bed was incredibly comfy. As a woman traveling alone I felt very safe and comfortable. I will never go back to supporting a large chain, I would 100% rather give my money to this sweet family for a room just as nice and thoughtful, for MUCH more reasonable price! read more

Just finished two night stay at Morgan Inn. I liked the place. Nothing fancy, but my room had everything I needed and the bed mattress was comfortable. One thing that impressed me was the extensive number of available tv stations. Most I've ever seen in a motel. I recommend this motel. read more

Avoid this place!!!!! I would give this negative if I could. I normally do not leave bad reviews but this needed to be listed. The first room we were given had broken blinds in the bathroom's largish window. Checked the window and locked it. My friend walked around the building and opened the window on me from the outside!!! With it Locked!!!! Looked like someone had climbed thru. Got moved to another room at great headache trying to talk to the front desk girl who did not understand. Then second room was ok but the place was sketchy. Then in the morning found stains on the floor that were obviously from body fluids.. ewww. We could not leave fast enough. Only if you absolutely have to. We planned on getting a room in Walla Walla, but there was some type of cycling event in town and most hotels were booked up or marked up in cost a lot. We decided to save a couple bucks and stay in Milton-Freewater. Ugh. The first thing that hits you when you open the door to your room. The smell. Old motel, used-to-be smoking room, damp pee smell. Yuck. Dirty throughout, blood stains on the sheets. Yes, blood. No parking in front of our room to be found, had to park on the side of the building, woke up with a lovely scrape and dent on our rear bumper. Wonderful! Not much to redeem itself from all its bad points, I must say. Cough up the extra money, stay in Walla Walla. I wish I had. read more

Pretty bad motel. I stayed in one of the older buildings in back where there look to be permanent or monthly renters. The room I got was big but old and very dusty/dirty. There were people coming and going all night from surrounding rooms, The bathroom/ shower was pretty run down and nasty. Everything from the sheets the bed to the furniture were 10 years worn out, I had to clamp my curtains shut as they were falling apart. I asked to see a room the week before and was shown a room in the newer front bldg I thought i might be nice just to stay in the town I was working in. but I guess if you use any kind of discount you get stuck in one of their out buildings. I only stayed 2 days and checked out and went back to the cheaper much much better hotel I was staying at in Walla Walla. Not worth $10 a night Just don't do it read more

For the price you might as well just spend an extra 10 or 20 dollars and stay in Walla Walla or Pendleton. Nearly everything in our room was stained including the floors, sheets, towels etc. The place also stinks like cooked food and must, sheets smell like Simple Green, windows don't have screens, place is poorly insulated (gets cold in this area!), and many things are broken or plain missing. All of this would be acceptable if it was like a $30 per night place but they are overcharging by way too much so that's why they get a bad review. A Motel 6, or something of that caliber, is way nicer than this and probably cheaper. read more

Out of the two motels in town this one is the best. Free Wi-fi and a standard breakfast setup in the morning. Rooms are old and could use some updating. It was good enough to get some quick shuteye. If you need nicer drive into Walla Walla. read more

The rooms by the office are nice. Clean and spacious. The rooms in the building way across the lot however are not very nice. They are clean but very dated. There are new owners over the past few months and very nice. Accommodated our late check in, our 2am call because we couldnt figure out the tv remotes, and then went above and beyond to allow us a room change to one of the newer rooms after we weren't completely satisfied with the first room (other building). Our grandkids live in the area and we visit often so we will probably visit this hotel again. Thank you for your hospitality sir. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! I just had the worst possible experience that I have ever had with any hotel. If I could give this hotel less than 1 star I would. My wife arrived with my two children to an extremely dirty, room in a decrepit hotel. The room was filthy, the screens on the window in the bathroom was covered with dirt and there was so much ice in the refrigerator that the door wouldn't even close. Without any options that evening, we checked out the next morning and the hotel refused to refund our pre-payment for the remaining night that we did not use. The hotel manager was rude and, believe it or not, hung up on me twice when she did not like what I was saying. She only tried to relay MY obligations to them rather than providing any decent type of customer service. We went to another hotel the next morning. Do yourself a favor and spend an extra $20 or so and stay at the Best Western in Walla Walla where the experience was just the opposite. read more

Got charged $90 for what is at best a $50 dollar room. Had to reassemble the shower controlknob myself - parts were at the top of the shower stall. Building was some weird structure tucked behind a shed which is behind the main building. Clean enough, but hardly woth the price. If I weren't so tired I'd have pressed on to Walla Walla. read more

I stayed there 2 nights as Walla Walla was full everywhere, it is equivalent to a motel 6, the room was clean and recently painted, the shower had plenty of hot water and the beds were comfortable w/ 3 pillows each and a good bedspread. The manager was very friendly. I felt paying $99 at night was too much but I had no choice, I cannot comment about breakfast since I did not use it. read more

I'm impressed! This isn't a hotel (it's a motel) so don't expect luxury but if you want a clean, large room you'll be happy here. There is a bit of road noise but nothing that prevented me from sleeping soundly and sprawling over both my and my husband's side of the bed. read more

This is the second time that we have stayed here in one month. The first time was not too bad, however this time was horrible. There was only 1 light for 2 lamps (wonder why) and the toilet never completely flushed. The bed was uncomfortable. The lamp could not be plugged in because it would cause sparks. I spent 2 nights here. When checking in they did not show my reservations. My first booking was through booking.com 2 weeks before and so I had called to check reservations a few days before arriving. The man on the phone at the Morgan Inn said he could not find my reservations through booking.com. Of course I was concerned and wondering what to do. He told me he could beat the rates I was paying and they only had 2 rooms left so I rebooked the room with him and canceled booking.com. It happened to be my school reunion and one of the other girls was staying there also. That first night we talked about what happened with my reservations and so the better price I thought I was getting turned out to be $40.00 add'l a night I had not brought my confirmation # so I was at their mercy. They had a room available, which happened to be the same # the gentleman had given me on the phone 2 days before so I did have a place to sleep. With my friend, they told her they did not have her reservation, she did have her confirmation # and the staff at Morgan Inn were able to come up with a room for her. The room was clean. The most disgusting dump of a motel you could stay in. Stinky, small, no insulation, and you may as well stay in the middle of the highway it's so loud. They charged us up front for two nights, and when we told them we were checking out early, more than 24 hours prior the next day checkout, they wouldn't refund the night they charged us for. We WILL dispute this with our Visa company and make them as miserable as their dumpy motel. read more

Never stayed here and never will. My friends stayed there and when they left, the ower/manager called them and charged them for using a washcloth and leaving makeup on it!!! I have NEVER heard anything so ridiculous! They wanted to charge them $25.00 for a washcloth. She had the audacity to say this wasn't a "Wal-Mart" washcloth. Stayed here 2/17/12. We felt it was a good value upon arrival with friendly staff, however after checking out we received a call from Carrie (mgr/owner) asking if we used their washcloth to wash our face, of course we did. She stated she had to charge my credit card $25 for using the cloth to remove my make-up as they provided one of those disp. make-up removers. She stated the cloth would have to be replaced, this without ever even trying to launder it at this point, and had I ruined their washcloth, would you ever think she had the right to charge me $25. I think not. I believe they most likely do this to people on a regular basis to make their budget motel a profit. I have traveled extensively and have never had someone charge me for using a washcloth to remove make-up. You decide, regardless...Just think of what she could charge you for if your child or you were to have a spill, or any problems at all - clearly if she would charge me this outrageous fee, she is out to get your money too...I have asked that this establishment be further investigated as I simply do not believe someone in the hotel industry would ever charge someone $25 for a washcloth, even if it was missing - mine had make-up on it according to her. read more

first off room was ok, beds hard, shower no pressure.. for those looking for that. was clean, and had basics for price. This is what happen to us mom, and 3 kids. We took kids to park, they went hiking up the mountain, as we have none in Mississippi. One fall and slide down hill.. When we got in she went right to shower, on the floor was a towel for shower which she stepped on while taking her clothes off... Then she had a bloody nose, grabbed a towel to stop it with. I thought nothing of this.. Next day we decided to stay 3 days, as I paid for 2, and told them to run same card for 3rd night.. was visiting family eating our dinner when I got a call from said manager. She has locked our room, and we had 10 minutes to get there to pay bill or we were going to be locked out for night, as she was going home at 8:pm.. was told closing hours 10 on weekdays, 11 on fri-sat. This was Monday 7:50.. I thought really pulled up my bank account was no mistake on bank, money was there. I get to office she is very rude, and the manager.. I asked her if she had a problem with me, she replies " following rules when people don't pay their bill." I was thinking took til 8 for her to see that, now I take out my account on phone give her my bank card (same card as before) it goes right thru imagine that. She wanted to go home, and needed me to sign the receipt because it's a debit card. still very rude, no sorry no nothing, just unlocked our door. I forgot one other part, she said she had a issue she needed to discuse with me. She asked me to be more careful with her white towels, there was a foot print on one, and two stains on two others, she was able to get stains out so there was no problem, but don't do it again she said. I told her what had happened, she was still rude, and said that she had a small business and couldn't afford to buy new towels. I promise she said that, I said I didn't figure it a problem as they are white, and you bleach them anyway, right? It's a motel, didn't seem to me to be a problem. Not like we dropped hem in a mud puddle, or soaked up blood on it. Just a small nose bleed, and we rinsed them out. I just thought for 65.00 a night for 3 nights, she could bleach a towel. I do at home, they really should being used by other people all the time. I was scare to take bath after that, or how about the sheets and blankets? No bleach means nasty germs to me. I would use the other motel in this small town, or go to Walla Walla.. If not, bring linens! read more

Stayed here for one night. I must say I was expecting the worst, but I got better than that. Room was well decorated, and had all the motel amenities coffee, microwave, and refrigerator etc. I would argue that there does not need to be that many pillows on the bed, and once you got to the bottom of the fancy pillow pile there was a lackluster lumpy pillow at the end of it. The t.v. also looked as if it was haunted and was showing us a glimpse into hell. It was stuck in a dark red tint, to the Morgan Inn's credit though I didn't have to watch the food network with all the sauces and ground up meat accentuating the deep red tint. The staff was friendly and nice the desk manager kept the breakfast stocked well, and even gave me a free consumer reports magazine. All in all I would give it only 3 stars, but do to the helpful nature of the staff and what seems to be the updated rooms we'll turn this bad boy up to 4. read more
