We had our cover installed by Morgan's about a month ago. Holly our sales person was fantastic! She told us exactly how things would go from beginning to end our patio cover turned out amazing! We couldn't be more happy with it. We truly have an outdoor living space. We got several bids, and Morgan's was not the least expensive. They have a showroom you can go to which nobody else that gave us an estimate had. The crew that worked on our patio cover our actual employees of Morgan's not subcontractors Morgan's carries workers comp insurance and liability, which was important to us. I had my Patio cover installed in 2022. It had a number of items which are wrong. The problems were Electrical and leaking. My lights and fans turn on by themselves, still unresolved (2025). I called the numerous times, and went in to the office several times to talk to Holly and the some old guy. Holly reassured me they will take care of it. Originally when installed, I was talking to the electrician and he told me that he was not on staff with Morgan. He only helps out. He let me know was an inconvenience helping them, because the installer who runs the wires is not an electrician and he has to come to fix the messes that guy leaves behind. Hence the lights and fan turn on by themselves. The first two years the patio cover leaked in several places and into the light and fan fixtures. I had to show pictures to Morgan in order for them to send someone out, to replace the coverings over the seams where the light/fan were. I still have not heard from them in a year, about correcting the electrical problem. I have the same customer service issue as the other people here, that left reviews. I regret hiring these guys. $22,000. read more

I contacted this company for awnings and patio cover. They never bothered to return my call. Not impressed!

We have a covered pergola and when it's not raining, it is lovely. However there is a leak and over a month ago I spoke with a women in their office, she asked me to text pictures, I did. And she followed up with a promise to forward the information to their technician. Since then I have called, emailed, and texted several times - absolutely no response. I'm completely at a loss. This kind of customer service is inexcusable. I do not recommend this business, the customer service is terrible. read more

The Knotwood fencing is incredibly beautiful. The workmanship of its production is astonishing and astounding. It is strong, durable and will amazingly have the beauty of wood without the drawbacks so for us it is the most economically and green minded material for the job. Whereas wood fencing often warps, needs recoating if the natural look is not preferred, and is subject to sun, water and insect damage- Knotwood holds its value for many years without those challenges. The work has just begun more photos to follow. Bob Morgan and staff are a pleasure to work with. They are supremely knowledgeable, professional, and kind. They can also provide guidance as to colour and design choices when requested. The installation is progressing extremely fast! read more

One big error in my first review, and despite repeated attempts to correct it, Yelp is not allowing it. The work on my patio awning or cover was completed in September, NOT August! I originally signed the contract around the 26th of July. I was hoping to have the awning/cover completed before the end of September. The work was basically completed in a timely manner as noted in my prior review. The work started on September 13th, and was, for the most part, completed on September 16th. I had two follow-up work requests, one to add a missing piece of flashing and two, to drill a hole in the gutter so the water could flow down the drain pipe! We regret going for this company. I gave one star because you can't give zero star. Of course, getting a quote from them was the fastest. After waiting for months for my building materials to arrive, they finally came mid December. I don't blame Morgan's for the delay as Covid 19 has affected production. My installation was scheduled for Jan 7-8. Despite the rain earlier in the week, I received a call from Robert the head installer. Although my job was supposed to be pushed to the following week, he was able to put me back on the schedule for Jan 8. The patio cover was completed in a day and a half. I am now waiting for the electrician to install my fans. Thats suppose to happen this upcoming week. Overall, the patio cover turned out beautifully. I am beyond satisfied with the quality of the product and quality of the construction. The cover exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a nice patio cover, you can't go wrong with Morgan's Outdoor Living. The only caveat is that you have to be patient. read more

Be extremely wary of this company. Their louvered roof product is way overpriced and guaranteed by the Owner, Bob Morgan, to be waterproof - no leaks. Has leaked since we've had it. We bought their roof in 2015 and they have come out many times, saying it was fixed and it never was after they left. Requests to test the roof properly before leaving were never honored. Then the last time they claimed I needed a roofer to make some adjustments. Paid a roofer to come out who saw nothing having to do with the roof. Water was leaking through the seams of the louvered roof, as always. Have never been able to use the roof for the purpose we bought it due to the leaks. Every time they came out, we would have to wait months for rain due to the drought to find out if the roof was fixed and call them again. Then came the pandemic and It took forever to get the roofer out, not to mention the expense. I called Bob Morgan once again who said, "Oh, yeah, we have a new material now that will fix that. Will set up a service call" and promptly has his service scheduler call to say it will be $300 since the roof is out of warranty!!! (as if I was too stupid to see that "they" caused the problem to go on until it would be out of any warranty.....and as if I was too old to remember Bob Morgan sold the roof to me with a lifetime warranty!!). But apparently "gaslighting" has become Morgan's way out of things. This company has absolutely no ethics and will say anything to sell these things and, coupled with the cost of this product--TO THE TUNE OF $10,000--they are the "perfect storm." Stay away! There are many other reliable and honest companies out there who sell better products and value customers over greed. read more

Bob and his team had a great design to make our back deck area more of a 2nd living room for us outside. If I could give them 0 Stars I would. I have had the sunroom for five years and it has leaked from the first rainy season. it was installed in October and started leaking immediately. They put a little extra caulk on the roof and stated that I needed to have the house painted. So I paid to have the house painted and it still leaked. so they stated I'll just have to live with it. During the rainy season I will get about 10 gallons of water leaking into the sunroom. I can't even put the floor down because it turns into a swimming pool when it rains. The owner has been out and states they will fix and nothing. read more

We had Morgans install a large patio cover. It took several months to get on the schedule. After the cover was up we found several pieces were installed upside down. And had to have them fixed. Then once the rain started we found the main beam was filling with water. Several calls later one of the workers thought it would be a good idea to drill a whole to drain it. Now we are having yet another problem of chalking on what is supposed to have a lifetime guarantee. And now three more calls I was told they are very busy and don't know when they will get to us. Poor quality for the money. Poor customer service. Poor follow through. Very disappointed. Would not recommend them. read more

Unfortunately we never got a chance to work with this company other than making an appointment for an estimate. Understandably so, when I first called, the woman I spoke with told me it would be a few weeks until they could come out as they were backed up, ok fine. Day of the appointment, she calls to tell me she'd be 15-20 min late, ok fine. Although I didn't think she remembered but I told her that the estimate would be during my work lunch hour. A little after 12 (our scheduled time) I ask that she meets me at the side entrance as to not disturb my dogs. No response until almost 1230, claiming she was on her way and that she was sorry. Fast forward to almost 1245, end of my lunch hour and still a no show. I text her to let her know nvm to cancel where she proceeds to say she's 5 min away and that's it's "my call". I respond to just cancel and she says ok. That's it. I don't know about you but a first impression is everything and I was more than willing to accommodate lateness by 15 min but 45 minutes is ridiculous and to end it with "your call" as if you don't care about wasting my time is a no go for me. While I understand things happen and things can run late, a more professional response would have been to call when you knew that you wouldn't make it by the first later time you proposed and to instead request a reschedule! So unprofessional and a complete disregard for someone else's time! read more

I really wanted to have a better experience with Morgan's. Unfortunately it was an ordeal from start to finish. After getting the quote for a patio cover from the salesperson, I decided to go forward with them even though it was a higher estimate than competitors. The Home Depot backing is what convinced me. I was told they were running a little slow on installation dates but would be scheduled as soon as possible. After giving a significant deposit, we then waited over 7 weeks to be scheduled for install. And even then the heads-up on the install date was 1 day's notice! (Their website states that installation is scheduled 'within 1 or 2 weeks'). The installers arrived on the scheduled day but within an hour realized they did not have the correctly-sized materials for the cover. They had to stop all work for almost 2 hours while someone in Fairfield located the correct piece and drove it down to Concord. The work was finally completed. There is no question that the cover seems sturdy and looks good. However the day after the install, we unfortunately noticed the wooden eaves of the roof were cracked where apparently the installers had stood on them! Called and emailed Morgan's immediately and sent photos of the damage. They assured me someone would be sent out right away to repair the roof. After more than a month no repairs have happened nor have we even been contacted. The situation is highly frustrating. Morgan's has not demonstrated an ability to deliver a good customer service experience. Not sure how the other reviewers got lucky enough to have a good experience but I would not recommend. read more

We ordered a dry patio from Morgan's as we met Roxanne (sales contact) and liked her. In addition, we wanted to keep our business local. Big mistake. The patio was scheduled to be installed eight weeks from date of deposit (installation date: right after Thanksgiving). We checked a few weeks before, and we were still on schedule. We did not hear from Morgan's on the week the patio was to be installed and had to leave a message on website because no one would get back to us. It turns out Roxanne, our contact, was on vacation, and no one else could or would speak with us. The patio was finally installed after Christmas. We were supposed to have it well before then. In fact, before I put a down payment on the work, I asked for worst case scenario. Roxanne laughed and said if it was not installed after Thanksgiving, the business would have to be going under. When they finally came, they started back paddling on dry patio aspect. I advised them I needed them to stop work if they could not deliver a dry patio as ordered. After some back and forth, we went forward. After work was completed, it rained (thankfully) and they had to keep coming back because it was leaking. They would fix it, it would leak, we would call, they would come back, it rained, it leaked we called, etc. The quality of work completed on the dry patio aspect (flashing) was amateurish. Roxanne was very rude after down payment was delivered. She never called when she said she would. On the day of install, she would not commit as to what would be reasonable time period to come back out if there were issues with the dry patio aspect. I would not let the conversation drop, so she blurted out, "Two weeks. Trust me, I know your hot spot." I asked her what she meant by this because even though we were lied to repeatedly, we were never unprofessional. In fact, we were at their mercy. Roxanne was very defensive which we found odd for a professional business. I wrote a 5-page review, play by play, with dates and pictures, which I will try to upload at a later date. We would never contract with Morgan's again. The patio is nice. The flashing on the top for dry patio aspect is sub par. The journey was rocky and not worth it for us as we did not have peace of mind because of the continuous not calling us back, pushing date for install out, and their acting like we were being unreasonable for expecting timely service (as promised by them) and the job we contracted for from the beginning (dry patio during rains). When I advised Roxanne that I needed answers because of the lack of communication that had occurred prior to installation, she pointed to one of the workers and exclaimed loudly, "His grandfather died!" This was one of the reasons for installation not going forth on one of the later dates. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary to make such an exclamation when we were talking business. She would not take responsibility for her commitments not being met. I later found out from someone close to the business that Morgan's had a crew quit. I wish they had simply told the truth. My husband is in construction, and we understand things happen. Lies, rudeness, and ignoring clients is unacceptable. Important! When we inspected the work ourselves, tiles had been broken on our roof and no one let us know. They tried to cover it up by taking the broken tile with them. Had we not inspected, this was a situation that would have resulted in dry rot at a later time. Morgan's fixed it but only because we found broken tile they forgot to take and forced their hand. It was quite a nightmare for us. I saved all emails and texts to document our business transactions with Morgans. There is another part of the patio we wanted finished, however, we will contract elsewhere for that work. Buyer beware! I will be reporting them to the contractor's board. I am writing this review three months after the fact. I don't like writing negative reviews but I have not been able to shake the feeling that this is the right thing to do. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We've had our patio cover for almost two years and it still leaks. I'm not sure how many times we've requested it to be fixed (I've lost count), but at one point, I was told it was normal for it to leak a little (then why sell me an insulated roof that could be converted to an enclosed room? My roof for my house doesn't leak and it wouldn't be acceptable if it did.). We requested repairs again at the beginning of December, were told they'd come look at it on 1/5/15, but we have yet to hear anything. Part of the reason they gave for the leaking roof (still!) is that they need to fix it when it's not raining or wet outside, so they were waiting for a sunny day (but it hasn't rained in over 2 weeks...). On top of the patio cover leaking, it holds water, so we can see water in our skylights, which have a 2 year warranty. Too bad they weren't installed correctly and didn't even last one rainy season. I wonder what condition our patio cover will be in 10 years from now with all the water it holds. Will mold be an issue when we go to convert it to an enclosed room? When the patio cover was first installed, it needed to be repainted-twice- because of all the blemishes. When they first installed the pillars, it looked like it had been painted and put back in a cardboard box for transport while the paint was still wet and then painted over. VERY unprofessional and a HUGE eye sore. There were several other places it wasn't painted properly and I was told was just dirt and that I should clean it (why should I have to clean something brand new? It should have been installed and cleaned/repainted without me needing to request it twice). Our light fixture was removed and thrown away, so they put a metal cover over it (why the light was removed in the first place and not put back is unknown). After they were done installing it, I had to go around the yard and clean up the garbage they left behind. So, while the patio cover looks nice from a distance (don't look closely or you can still see dents and blemishes that have been there since it was installed), it's been too much of a pain for us to recommend anyone purchase anything from Morgan's Outdoor Living. We've been trying to get our repairs done for over a year and a half and it's been a lot of work to try to get it done correctly, and I wouldn't wish this headache and hassle on my worst enemy. Please choose a different company (unless you have a lot of time on your hands to deal with them and want the challenge or don't mind spending over $10,000 for subpar work). read more

Quite similar poor experience as another review. Roxanne was quite professional at first as far as walk through and estimate process. However once I gave them money everything fell apart. She became unprofessional and full of excuses. They assured me a timely job completion of 6-8 weeks and got it done after 10 weeks. Gave me a myriad of excuses on why it wouldn't be completed. Weather, materials, workers, etc. After calling them out for these lies they all of a sudden were able to move me up to this still late date of 10 weeks. They made this change barely a day after I sent the email. To top it all off I repeatedly said I do not want them to pull the permits for me, that I would do them later and just received my final invoice with the permits added on to the invoice. I am now awaiting an adjusted invoice including the changes...Product is nice but extremely expensive and terrible customer service experience. Definitely not worth the headache. Wish I would've done more homework on them. Hopefully people can see my experience and save them the hassle. read more
