We just started with Juan sensei about a few weeks ago. I emailed to ask about enrolling my 5 year old son. Juan got back to me very promptly through both email and texts. He explained that new students start with two weeks of free trial. Monthly fee would be $130 with no contract or any hidden fees. My 5 year old son had the option of attending at 11am or at 4:30pm M/W/F. There's also practice at 11am on Saturday. The 4:30pm-5:30pm session is for kids 4-8 years old. When we arrived for the first time, Juan said that my son can watch or join depending on how comfortable he is. My son hopped straight in and sensei explained patiently to him on what to do. My son enjoyed learning judo and doing the exercises. There was on average 10 kids every practice when we were there. There's usually less kids there at 11am for the Saturday practice. I would highly recommend anyone looking into getting into judo to enroll here. read more

My daughter absolutely loves coming here! Even though she's still young and doesn't always understand everything, I can already see how much she's learning. She's picked up skills and habits that I know came from these classes. She's much more confident in herself and more coordinated. At first, she didn't really want to go, but after going consistently, she now looks forward to every class! The sensei is wonderful very patient, encouraging, and truly great with kids. Sensei Juan and his gym is a hidden gem in Southern California. Probably no better place to learn and train Judo. He got his black belt in Japan while serving in the Navy and has the ability to teach concepts like no other. He's got all these little unknown bits of knowledge, straight from Japan... which is all you need to learn how to throw people into the earth. Proud to call this guy my Sensei and a friend. OMG!!!!! Ms. Whitney is a child whisperer!!!! My daughter is very shy she doesn't like to do ANYTHING but be up under her mom (me). I told her she was going to dance class and cried all the way to dance class, getting out the car, and checking in. But when she met Ms. Whitney her whole attitude changed. Ms. Whitney is so patient and great with kids. My daughter Summer just came out of her shell and had a great time. She kept giving me a thumbs up that she liked it. All she talks about now is when is the next dance class! Everyone at DAB has excellent customer service and is very patient and personable. The young lady up front answered all my questions and another dance teacher came over and introduced herself in between her classes. To schedule a class I spoke with Chris on the phone prior to and his customer service is also top notch! The prices are great they even have unlimited monthly subscriptions where your child can take as many classes as they want for a set price. I highly recommend this DAB dance studio it is very family friendly and just the right size for young dancers. I like the way the child is in the room with the teacher and the other students but the parents are outside looking through he glass and unobtrusive. My daughter had such a great time with Ms. Whitney. I am so pleased with the previous Yelp reviews and found them very helpful because that is what made my decision to try out this dance studio! read more

D.A.B Dance Studio is a studio that I've been waiting to have around the area that offers not only caters to children but also Adults. I'm currently taking an Adult Hip-Hop class and the place is fresh, clean, and the staff is super nice and friendly. For those young local adults who love to dance hip-hop this is the place to be. Not only that it's convenient and you don't have to drive to OC/LA for a dance studio, but you can try out 4 classes the dance instructor for their currently special of $25!!! Alita (I believe that's how you spell her name) is super nice, patient, and talented. I also recently learned through Mr. Ben that everyone gets an opportunity to perform even if they're not of part of a "dance crew" if there is an opportunity for it. So whatever choreography you've learned you can maybe one day perform it through a local event -- if you're down for it. I really like that because often times dance studios charges an arm an a leg to be part of a special team and D.A.B doesn't do that. FYI They even have a family and and an unlimited plan which is also pretty awesome. I highly recommend D.A.B for all students who want to learn how to dance or continue the journey of dancing. read more

The owners are very nice and personable and the the classes are not expensive. The hip hop and tumbling instructors are very good and patient with the kids. Our daughter is getting a lot of attention because the classes are small. It's not crowded and no screaming unattended kids running rampant through the place like other establishments we've tried. Ms. McKenna was very kind; however, the studio is questionable. We will not return as my son was devastated at the way he was treated. Took my business elsewhere. It's not about the recital it was the fact that my 5 year old was lied to and that you made it because of costuming. The coach did not use safe procedures While teaching the class. In addition my son was there for the first day of practice for the recital dance/tumbling routine and learned it with the rest of the girls however was pulled from at the second week of practice. You are very rude the way you spoke to me on the phone was unacceptable and as I stated before in the review we will not be back and I have nothing but poor things to say about the sick while teaching the class. We love D.A.B. Dance! First off the place is super clean which is a huge thing for me especially with kids coming in and out.
