He gives clear & concise estimates and the best part is that all materials are purchased through a separate account that you link up your credit card to. For example, on the week he needs lumber, he'll tell you what's going to be charged, it'll go right to your credit card and the only amount you pay is what the lumber actually cost (with his professional discount). No uncharging or him taking a cut. You pay what the material cost not a penny more and you pay him a flat rate for his labor. I love them! I already knew the old roof needed to be replaced but had dreaded going through the process. With a giant rain and wind storm coming the next day, Nancy called and actually arranged to have Gus Anax do the repair ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON so that I would not have to deal with the damage that was sure to ensue! I was amazed to have come across a company that actually cares, especially to this extent, about a potential customer! I have never before had the pleasure of such kind professionals working with me in so attentive a manner before. The repair was done, and I was able to sleep soundly through the storm rather than watching my ceiling collapse! Going forward, I received a quote to have my old roof replaced that was absolutely within the price range I was expecting. Of course, I was delighted to receive a quote that I could afford but equally important, I felt a full sense of confidence in going ahead with the folks at Anax. They were very professional and informative, not to mention patient, throughout the process of selecting the roof material and giving me an understanding of the roofing process. They could not have been more helpful to this rather nervous customer. I need not have had any anxiety about having this job done, thanks to Gus Anax Home Improvements' professionalism and expertise! Gus and his team of skilled workmen set to work methodically and with great care. They were a pleasure to have at my house. The crew did a great job, worked hard, and we even tipped each of the three installers $100 because we appreciated their work. Unfortunately, after the installation, the keypad did not work. I don't necessarily believe this was the installer's fault--it may have been a defective keypad. I ordered a replacement myself and simply asked the owner if someone could come back to swap it out. He replied but didn't give me a straight answer, he was actually nasty. I've sent multiple text messages over the past weeks. The lack of communication and customer service has been extremely disappointing. When you spend a lot of money with a company, you expect them to stand behind their work and at least return a customer's message. It's frustrating that such a small service request has been completely ignored. Because of this experience, I can no longer recommend this company. A quality installation is important, but so is customer service after the job is complete.

They replaced the molding, install new closet doors, painted the railings inside and out and made other needed repairs. They were careful and neat - cleaning up every evening when they left. They arrived on time every day and finished the job as quickly as possible.

He came by to see what we needed and give us an estimate. One of our immediate issues was both hallway lights )which light the stairs) were out. One was too high for us to reach, and the other we simply couldn't open. George fixed both in a minute at no charge! The rest of the work required him to get things to replace old/broken issues. I got a call the next morning... and he had them and was able to install that day! Everything went as planned, and we were more than happy with the work. George call the next day to follow up on things. You have to love that! We'll certainly have him back!
