On February 14, 2025, I brought my vehicle to John Morlan after an alert appeared on the UConnect system. George Sanders reviewed the concern and had a technician diagnose the issue. They claimed it was a "code mismatch" because the VIN on the EPS didn't match, quoted $1,411 for repairs, and insisted the problem was due to a prior wreck--saying outright, "there's nothing we can do to help you." When I questioned the diagnosis, Sanders became argumentative and tried to back it up with photos. I asked him to call my third-party insurance company to help verify coverage. During that call, he told them the vehicle had been wrecked, which led both the insurance company and John Morlan to deny any responsibility or support. Still not convinced, I took the vehicle to Autry Morlan in Sikeston on May 1. They quickly and correctly diagnosed the actual issue: a faulty antenna. It was a simple problem fully covered under warranty. The alert is now gone, and the issue is resolved--no thanks to John Morlan's team and certainly not worth the $1,411 misquote. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I was misdiagnosed, dismissed, and made to feel like the burden was mine. I will not return to John Morlan and strongly caution others--if you value accuracy, professionalism, and integrity, look elsewhere. read more

I bought a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon in late 2023. Never sold. I asked about the warranty and they said it would have a better warranty than a new vehicle. It was exactly what I was looking for. Today the batter connect to the idiotic start/stop system had to be replaced. And Morlan didn't honor the new car warranty. $400 to replace the battery. We bought a 22 RAM 3/4 ton CPO truck from this dealer, and they emphasized the value in it being Certified Pre Owned. We haven't even owned the truck for 3 months, and we have had nothing but problems. Ram's CPO warranty won't cover the issues because the truck is titled in the company name, and apparently CPO only covers vehicles that are titled to individuals. Both the salesmen, and the finance manager that finished our paperwork knew this was titled in our company name. The dealer isn't taking accountability for any of it. We learned our lesson, and will never work with this group, or RAM again. For 8 weeks the dash has flashed multiple check engine lights intermittently and we're forced to pay for repairs out of pocket because of this dealerships negligence. read more

I never thought I would give Morlan this rating and I've been a fan and bought about 8-10 cars from them over the last 18 years. I've shared with family and friends to go there I've always been treated great by the sales team, management and the Finance. But today, let me start with this I have only bought one Dodge,Chrysler ,Ram product from anyone else but them but today I took my truck which I bought in 2021 from another dealer ( I only bought it because it was the only one I found in the state that had what I wanted) , and I had an appointment. I drove it in and no longer than I had it inside the Bay they told be they couldn't work on it or even check it in because the owner wouldn't let them work on anything from that dealership. Basically told me I could just go and that he would be fired if he checked it in? I feel for the employee but this is ridiculous. I've been a loyal customer ? I thought I heard him wrong and I said I've bought many new vehicles from you and there exact words were " well you didn't buy this one and that's the problem". I say all this if you are going to buy a car from them they will probably take care of you , but the second you don't or if you move here owning a car and want it to get fixed good luck. After having a horrendous experience at Ward Jeep in Carbondale, IL, a friend recommended going to this dealership because she had a pleasant experience. She was absolutely right. This place is great! Our salesman was Josh and he was very thorough throughout the entire experience. The finance department was honest and straight-forward. I've had a couple experiences with the service department at this dealership, and it has been awful every single time. I even saw other customers having poor experiences while I was in there. It was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They are very rude and can care less about the customer. Do not purchase a vehicle here. I just purchased a new $41k 300. John jr sent it to an unqualified place to install a clear bra and tint. 3 weeks later and I finally received my new car- they had scratched the bumper and mirrors all over, and the bra peeled on the first day. Now I'm left to pay a body shop to remove the front clip and repaint the entire thing on a brand new car. Today in the sunlight, I noticed some type of oxidation issues on the side of the car and Johns reply, I'm sure the car doesn't have paint issues. The vehicles are good, but then the dealership doesn't make them. The salesmen sit around and play on their cell phones or congregate in the corner. The service department has gotten bad. You used to be able to come in and get out within an hour. Now you wait for at least 2 hours and don't get any updates. The last time my vehicle was serviced it came out with scratches around the work area. No mention of the damage. I had to wait 3 hours to find that my vehicle was not fixed and that it had scratches. I had to call 3 times to remind them of ordering or repairing the part. The part was a connector for a tail light. Nothing that should take hours.. This is the second visit for the same issue. When I went to check on the status the young lady working in the service department was joking with me about my vehicle needing to stay overnight so they could fix it in the morning. I expressed my anger to which she replied, "You're one of those. I guess I shouldn't joke with you." No.. I guess you shouldn't. It's never good to feed into one's anger especially when you have been part in causing it. Not to mention that is unprofessional and rude. I never see the service manager anymore, it's clear he must not be around to make sure others are doing their job. With this being the new norm at Morlan, my next vehicle will come from somewhere else. read more
