What a wonderful tour I really enjoyed it. We started by waiting in the café for the doors to open to the tour. Once in we were seated and watched a video. We were then let outside whilst the tour leader explained about the property and its history etc. We then went to the school house to hear its history, and got to fill out a postcard requesting a future ice cream flavor. Next, we went to the Noosa building and we were told the history of Noosa as well. Which I found to be a great story. It was pretty cold and we were made to stand outside which I would've loved to have avoided. The next part of the tour, led us to the dairy go round, where all of it was explained to us. The cows seemed to enjoy this, and they explained that sometimes there were freeloaders that like to ride the dairy go round multiple times. We found that quite amusing. We then walked through the dairy part and saw the processing of the dairy. It was explained to us how it's bottled with an old machine that seems to work better than the new machines. Also, the ice cream process was explained to us here as well. After this we got to go see the baby cows which were adorable. They were quite timid, but it was cute when I reached out and they touched their noses to my hand. From there we had to go wash up in the bathroom, which had a long line. Finally, we were led back into the café area where we were given a happy surprise of a Noosa tasting, a beautiful holiday cookie, a morning fresh dairy mug, and a free cup of coffee of our choice. This was a very nice experience. Our tour guide seemed to be a little green and struggled with questions a bit, but she did OK. I would highly recommend people go on this tour. I think it's so great that they have home deliveries of local dairy products.. I wish we had that where I live. All four of us really enjoyed the tour!! read more

What a fun experience taking a tour of Morning Fresh Dairy. The tour was around 1.5 hours start to finish. If you go in the summer, I recommend earlier tours since it does get a bit warm being outside for parts of the tour. The tour is very affordable and so so enjoyable. Definitely buy tickets online ahead of time because they fill up. We had awesome tour guides - Savannah, Amalie, and Emory. They all did a great job explaining the history of the farm and the inter workings of it today (and answering the questions we had). It was nice to learn about the family, which has worked the farm for 6 generations now (amazing)! We also loved getting to learn about how they produce all the products they make (and love that they use flash pasteurization), including our favorite Noosa yogurt. Our kids loved seeing how the cows on the dairy go round get milked. And of course getting to pet the baby cows at the end of the tour! This is a super family friendly outing and a fun way to learn about how a dairy farm is run. We also got to enjoy some great samples at the end - apple pie flavored milk (so good), chocolate milk, Noosa yogurt, and a cheese curd. Everything tasted delicious. They also have the Howling Cow Cafe which has goodies to eat or purchase to enjoy later. They have some yogurt flavors I haven't seen in the stores like hot honey. They also have some really awesome ice cream flavors available. My one regret is not bringing a cooler to buy some stuff to take home (and survive a couple hours drive). That said, we will definitely stop by in the future to buy some of the fun goodies. There's a nice paved parking lot at the farm (no dirt roads to drive on) and ample free parking. read more

What a wonderful place! It's not too far out of town, and such a great place to go for a quick snack/lunch or for one of their awesome tours. My first visit was with my daughter back in September/October and it was a beautiful day. I had gotten a bagel sandwich that was delicious! The weather was amazing, so we got to spend some time outdoors. There is a beautiful fountain to enjoy and tons of grassy area for kiddos to run around on. In April we did the Spring Fling tour. They do tours no matter the weather, and it just so happened to be snowing that day - a lot. It definitely made for a fun time. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and did an amazing job sharing about the history of the dairy. It was really exciting to watch the process of milking the cows/processing the milk. We then got to meet some of the baby cows which was definitely a highlight! At the end, we headed back to the cafe for some tasting of Noosa yogurt and some of their flavored milks. I purchased what was supposed to be cream top non-homogenized whole milk, at the Sprouts located in Broomfield. When I got it home it didn't appear to be since it didn't have the traditional cream cap I was expecting in the bottle. I went ahead to make clotted cream which requires cream top to make the cream. This process takes over 24 hours to make. At the end of the process all I ended up with was a crust on top of whole milk no cream. Don't trust this product if you are expecting cream top milk. read more

Just a little North of Fort Collins is a great dairy farm that offers fun tours of an old one room school house and their dairy farm. We loved the "Dairy Go Round" that has the cows lining up to ride around and get milked. We were told that they can ride around up to six times, but most seemed to go around once and then get off and head back with their friends. The baby cows are so gentle and cute and often let you pet them. At the end of the tour, you head back to the Howling Cow Cafe and taste samples. We loved the root beer, chocolate, and eggnog flavored milk! They also gave everyone a Noosa yogurt and a choice of three different cookies that are served in the cafe. The women leading our tour were so kind and great storytellers! An inexpensive and unique way to spend an afternoon! read more

I absolutely love Morning Fresh! This dairy farm has a cafe titled Howling Cow. You Can purchase farm fresh eggs, milk from the cows, butter, and NOOSA yogurt! The old manufacturing building for noosa no longer exists but you can find their products here! Just started receiving deliveries from Morning Fresh. There were a few surprises but I'm pleased with their product and customer service so far. The chocolate milk and milk/espresso concoction are excellent together or alone. The heavy cream was a bit thin, but I've never used anything except store bought, so perhaps fresh is different. I meant to whip up a batch but we ran out before I could. I was surprised to learn I had to buy the cooler or provide my own. At $25, it was a relatively inexpensive way to go so no real complaints. Also a surprise was discovering that Morning Fresh carries a wide variety of dairy products (yogurt, eggs, juice, etc) and that I can suspend deliveries to suit intake. This works well for my small family. Cost-wise, Morning Fresh seems comparable to shopping at King Soopers or Target, and the convenience of having their product delivered to my front door more than offsets any minor price discrepancy. Overall, glad to have stumbled across Morning Fresh. read more

Morning Fresh Dairy offers weekly delivery to your home on a great range of products, even pretty far out where I live in Johnstown. We get both their skim and whole milk, and I'd have to say that their whole milk is pretty luscious. I love the fact that I can email or call them up to 9am on the day of delivery to add or remove items from my standard order. We're even looking at doing the Grant Family Farms CSA through their delivery service, which would be so much more convenient than going to a drop off location. They're also dedicating to supporting their local community. For example, they offer a "Cash for Caps" program to help schools raise funds. The schools can collect caps from their families and local area neighbors, and return them for 5 cents a piece. Might seem like just a little, but just like the box caps, they can really add up if you have a bunch of people pitching in over the course of a year. Morning Fresh Dairy is definitely a local business I can really stand behind. read more

Our family loves Morning Fresh!!! My kids are HUGE milk drinkers and Morning Fresh delivers delicious, hormone free milk to our house twice a week. We have a standing order of 2% milk (tastes like whole milk!) and chocolate milk (tastes like a chocolate shake!), and changing an order is easy to do online or a quick phone call. The girls in the office are ALWAYS friendly and helpful and our driver is polite and efficient and has been able to provide a last minute jug of lemonade or a dozen eggs when needed. All of the products I've tried are tops. The pink lemonade is a welcome treat on a hot day and the root beer milk is pretty tasty. I cheated on this years Christmas cookies by using MF's ready-made cookie dough and they were great! The fact that MF milk products come in glass bottles is important - one less plastic product I have to use, the home delivery is super convenient, and competitive prices makes Morning Fresh Dairy the best choice. I want to start by saying I have been a customer of Morning Fresh for over 15 years. I love their products, their customer service is usually top-notch and the delivery drivers have always been pleasant and professional. The seasonal eggnog and the chocolate milk are real treats. Glass bottles and home delivery are a huge plus. However, after our recent move to Loveland and their decision to drop our twice a week delivery to once a week started us down a rocky path. I understand that the change in delivery days was in order to manage costs but in the process, for whatever reason, we began to experience very late deliveries(after 7pm) and several weeks had milk go sour before the week was up. While they were always gracious and credited us the price back to our account, we still had to head to the store to pick up extra milk before the next delivery was due. So, I called to cancel our service today. The person who answered the phone did not inquire as to why nor was I asked what they could do to maybe keep us as customers. I was not even thanked for being a loyal customer for all those years. Too bad our relationship ended on such a sour note, but seems appropriate given the quality of the milk lately. read more

This reminds me of getting fresh milk each week as a kid from the local dairy farm. I hope they continue to carry it or maybe consider doing home deliveries to Denver. I have been a customer of Morning Fresh for appox. 10 years. My kids are older now and I don't go through that much milk anymore. When we did, the kids really liked the taste of the milk. My wife and I really liked the seasonal egg nog as well. As our consumption of milk went down, I noticed a few things...the milk would sour after 7-10 days and cream would float to the top of the container. Being closely related to the dairy industry, I know that most major store retailers get a 18 to 20 day shelf life, or code date, for milk. Also, cream is not supposed to separate from properly homogenized milk. My suggestion to Morning Fresh: Review your sanitation chemical supplier and your cleaning SSOP's, especially for the HTST and the fillers--some style fillers require more disassembly and hand cleaning to ensure a proper cleaning and sanitizing...you should be getting a longer shelf-life on your milk!!! Morning Fresh is pretty good. I usually get 1% delivered. The taste and richness of the milk,are not always consistent, it's almost as if I get 2% one week and skim the next. Their milk seems to be pasteurized at a temperature that's just a little too high to make good cheese with, if that matters to you. That said, it's good quality and the prices are reasonable. The website and organization are kind of poor, though. I've only had a couple problems over the last year or so, but the website is difficult to navigate and it's not always clear if a request has gone through. The online payment and invoice system are basically stone-age. If you don't mind dealing with all that, Morning Fresh is a much better way to do your milk than the grocery store. read more

I REALLY want to support local businesses but after so many half gallons of milk going sour within a day of the sale by date, I can no longer justify dumping milk down the drain. We purchase the milk at Sprouts Market in Fort Collins so not sure if Morning Fresh sales them the bottom of the tank stuff or what. If the problem of shelf life is due to something going on at Sprouts, then Morning Fresh needs to work with their distributors to ensure sale by dates allow for people to have a few more days to drink their product. read more

We had Morning Fresh service for 6-8 weeks. Atleast 4 of those weeks we received milk that was sour (multiple times were were home and grabbed the milk right after the driver left). 3 of the 6 weeks they missed part of our order. The specialty milks (chocolate & rootbeer milk) were curtled the next day. If you live in Johnstown, I don't recommend you use their service. I know milk tastes better out of the glass, but if you aren't able to drink it because it is sour when you get it, what is the point of using their service. read more

Had a standing weekly order with them some weeks would cancel my order for that week and would still receive it. Then weeks I would have my order or possibly add another product to my order I wouldnt receive it. Would be promised it would be delievered Friday (Id get my normal order on Tuesday but he delivered to neighbors on Friday. DId not receive order then. All I got for email was.... Oh no! We were out of Root Beer Milk on Friday, the driver should have left you a note. I think we are going to be out of it for some time. I am so sorry. So they let me go as an employee because I injured my ankle on the job. I was sent to the Doctor to have it looked at and the doctor put me on lite duties because my ankle was in bad shape. I was told by the manager to just ride along in the truck because I was on restricted duties. No lifting or anything. So I get to work this morning and some guy I never met says we're going to have to let you because you're not working out. Really? No you let me go because I was injured on the job. No wonder this company has such a high turn over rate. Treat employees bad and the pay is nothing for what they ask of you. Plus their older trucks should not be on the road as their unsafe for the drivers and the community. I've heard stories of the brakes going out but they don't care all they want is for you to get the job done. Penny pushers for sure. Labor laws need to be looked at for sure and the safety of the drivers. SMH! They fire me cause I get hurt on the job and slow them down. Makes perfect sense. read more

My family has been enjoying Morning Fresh milk for about 10 years. They deliver directly to our door and I have never had a complaint. The whole milk is my favorite and the cream is beyond the best. Now is the season for eggnog and theirs is so rich and yummy. I am just heading to their site to order. Another thing I like is their Caps 4 Cash program. This is the worst company that I have ever worked for. They made me work 16 hour day, sometimes 6 days a week, and they only would pay $80 a day, which boils down to about $5 an hour. When they wanted my attention, instead of calling my name, they treated me like a dog and whistled at me. Once they tried to make me clean up a bunch broken glass with my bare hands. They provided no ppe except for some, for lack of a better word, crappy pair of gloves. There was no eye protection, which was definitely needed, I have had glass jars explode and glass hit my face, luckily not my eye. You would also work next to a loud machine which they provided no hearing protection for, basically they do not care about their employees AT ALL. Jeremiah was not understanding when I was having car troubles and had to miss a day of work, I could have shown him the paper work I received from the auto shop I went to, but he didn't want to hear me out, he just wanted to be rude. All in all this is a place that needs to either be regulated to a higher standard, or better yet, SHUT DOWN. read more
