The walk through the gardens is about 30 minutes, but there's plenty of photo op areas so the walk through could take longer if you stop to take pictures around the gardens or visit with Santa. They also have a color-changing gumdrop garden which seemed to be really popular with all ages. The staff and volunteers are all really friendly and helpful. They have hot cocoa and other beverages available for purchase at the bar. I visited with friends and family for the first time this year and I'm sure we'll be back again to visit.

I just left Ten Bears where I was there for about one hour with 2 girlfriends. The owner, William,…read morewas already visibly intoxicated (with 2 glasses of wine for himself nearby, a red and a white). Pretty quickly over the following 60 minutes he became verbally aggressive, psychologically abusive, and patronizing to myself and my girlfriends. I have NEVER in my life had this experience, and I have traveled all over the US and the world, interacting with thousands of people from countless cultures. William literally flipped a switch and began telling us "I have kicked people out of here before who were above you, and you are here" indicating with his hands that we were below whomever he had an experience with in the past. He also told one of my girlfriends that she doesn't know wine and that she is a "condescending bitch", because she was engaged in a conversation with him about his wines. I invited William to sit at our table with us early on (which he did) and when he switched to the drunk monster that he truly is, I saw it in his eyes. It is VERY obvious that this individual has LOTS of issues he needs to work through and is currently using alcohol as a coping mechanism, while also verbally assaulting his female customers. Unfortunately, we were the only 3 people in the tasting room and had we had a male with us, we surely would not have had the same experience. I immediately began to shut down (trauma response) and tears began streaming down my face. Normally with this type of male (gaslighting, condescending, and toxic to the nth degree), I would have been overly confrontational but the things he said and the look in his eyes, I knew that it was in my best physical health to not fully engage. I looked at him right before we left and said "I want you to know that this feeling, the tears I can't control, are real and you alone caused this". He then made fun of me for my tears and told us to leave as we were trying to pay. We obviously left and were and still are in complete shock. This individual needs to not only seek mental and substance use help but also should not be running a winery. Do NOT go to Ten Bears, especially if you are alone, are a group of women, and/or care about the safety of women. Ladies, go to Sweetheart Winery in Loveland, never had an issue there.

They have a good size Kid Zone. Then they have the history of Fort Collins. Then, I believe, they have a rotating exhibit. At the time was all about Skin. On humans and animals. It was fascinating. Personally, I was absolutely stoked for the shadow wall - it's just a fun/silly thing to do. When we ventured upstairs we didn't realize there was a theater until a staff member asked if we were there to see the show. Since we had to get going, I asked if I could peak in real quick to check it out and he was totally fine with it. It looks so cool! We will definitely be back to catch a show in the future.

Pride In The Park is Fort Collins' own gay pride even which typically happens in early June. I…read morethink it is is in it's 3rd or 4th year now... something like that. There are all kinds of performers all over Colorado that come to support this LGBT event in Fort Collins which is good! Pride In The Park is not as blatantly flamboyant as Denver's gay pride(Pridefest) which is both good and bad. Usually since Pride In The Park is typically quieter and 'under the radar' so to speak it seems to not attract much for religious protesters. That is good. The bad is that it isn't blatantly flamboyant like it should be where you are really out and proud. There is no big gay pride parade that takes place with Pride In The Park. There are multiple venues though where certain events do take place like where LGBT films events are, drink specials, etc. These venues change every year so do keep that in mind... all except the main pride event always still seems to be in Civic Center Park in Oldtown Fort Collins. I shouldn't dis Pride In The Park really. It is a pride event that Fort Collins did not have before less that ten years ago... that is a good thing! There are many non profit agencies, companies and business that show up to offer helpful information and support to the LGBT community of Fort Collins at Civic Center Park during the typical duration of the event which is about the length of a weekend. Fort Collins is a relatively gay friendly town but of course like any town there are those who wish to oppress and usually makes their religion their excuse for doing it. I remember when the gay community center opened up in Fort Collins, the Lambda Center, some 'religious' group posted graphic pictures of homosexuals in sexual positions and below these pictures it asked, 'Do you want this in you neighborhood?' Um... FYI it probably was already happening in the neighborhood! Despite these putrid and unnecessary notices from the intolerant demographic of Fort Collins, the Lambda Center has persevered and still remains in existence I am very happy to say! While Fort Collin's gay community is relatively small and gets smaller once the college students leave for the summer it is good to have an event like Pride In The Park to affirm the LGBT community of Fort Collins. However bear in mind if you want the kind of pride celebration that you see in magazines like in The Advocate or Out, you best go to Denver to celebrate being a member of the LGBT community in it's most unapologetic tone by Colorado standards. It is not entirely unfounded that some people of the LGBT demographic here in Colorado call Fort Collins, Fort Closet.
