Came in, found what I wanted, paid and left. Unfortunately, their customer service could have def been better, no smile, nothing, very rude, entire time, restless bitch face. I asked to double check a price on an item, she didn't even look at it or me and just told me the price. Then after she rings me up she doesn't even bother with looking at me and just gave me my total. Rude af.

Wow, they actually have a Rilakkuma product in a Hello Kitty bag. Red flag!

This was such a bizarre experience. I was really excited when I found out that there was a Morning Glory in California, as I used to frequent their stores on the East Coast growing up. Blue Bear and Babu merchandise was littered across the window display of the store, deceiving me into thinking that I was going to have a rush of childhood memories revived here. First of all, all of the Rilakkuma items are fake. Not a single one is authentic. In fact, there was even a fake Rilakkuma item sold in a Hello Kitty package. What astounds me is the audacity this store had to sell so many fake items within the same mall that has an arcade that offers Rilakkuma items as prizes! I also have never seen so many fake items being sold in an American mall. I've definitely seen many fake items being sold in Asian stores and Asian malls in Chinatown, but to sell them here is a bold move. I can't believe they haven't been reported yet for selling counterfeit merchandise. After my disappointment of browsing the fake Rilakkuma section (all being sold at full price, mind you), I thought that I would find refuge in the signature Morning Glory characters, Blue Bear and Babu. For some reason, all of the plushes they had on display had two different price tags on them! (Perhaps if they liked you, they would give you the lower price?) My boyfriend and I found other counterfeit items littered throughout the store, including Dragon Ball Z. Moreover, the only two employees working here were just chatting away in Korean, ignoring their customers. So, to recap, counterfeit merchandise, double pricing, and inattentive sales representatives DO NOT make for a successful business. Morning Glory, Blue Bear, Babu -- what happened to you? Why did you take my blissful childhood memories away from me?

Always cute inventory ever since I was a kid and used to write letters BY HAND. Ha. Forgotten arts. Salesperson was sweet and cheerful and wrapped my pen purchase in the cutest little bag. That's that quality service righ'chere! Previous reviews comment on rude service, looks like they hired a keeper at least for the Sunday night shift. Hey kids, You lure more bees with honey that's all I'm sayin.

    fake rilakkuma plush :(

I LOVE kawaii plushies and stationary and stuff but this store disappoints me. Every time I walk in the cashier keeps her eyes on me and I feel like I'm about to be tackled any second! They over price many items that you can buy for way less at a typical toy store. The one thing that makes me angry is the fact that they sell fake Rilakkuma plushies for a ridiculous price. A lot of the products in this store are knock-offs from Korea and if you're looking for authentic pieces then this might not be the best place. Probably just buying a pencil will be worth your money.

These pencils are the BEST 0.5 about $2-3

They have cute stationary stuff. I come here for the fine point sign pen. A pen I can't find in Target, Walmart, etc.

(channeling my Bryan Lloyd Danielson wwe voice) Location/Parking: Located on the SW corner of Fullerton Rd. and Colima. Believe it or not, but this location had "Life Plaza" back in the days. Parking can be hard to find during peak times. Some Establishments Currently Located In The Plaza: BCD, Banana Bay, Tastea. and Matcha Cafe Maiko, to name a few. Ambiance/Decor: Pretty cool ambiance/decor. They have a section of the plaza that has a beautifully designed outdoor patio area, which is perfect for enjoying meals al fresco. The vibrant neon lights add an enchanting touch to the atmosphere, especially at night, creating a lively and festive mood. Yes Plaza For Thought: A place that I wouldn't mind patronizing again, again, and again.

I feel like I'm going to trigger a sleeper agent here, but if you remember Cue! and MVP shooters, then you have elite ball knowledge and know what this plaza was like in its prime. If you go here at an off time or mostly during the weekdays, parking is doable, but if you're here on a Friday night or weekend, good luck, it can become a PvP zone here and there are many many cars that aren't compact parking in the compact section. During a particularly busy night, I've even seen shattered glass from a car that was broken into despite there being so many cars and people around, so be careful! As for value, there's a good chunk of casual eats and treats here (currently) that aren't too pricy like the new Chinese snack shop, Matcha Maiko, Honu Hawaiian, and Boba Ave 8090, and some slightly nicer eats like Sushi Rev and Yumiyaki (soon another Chubby Cattle Empire restaurant is joining this plaza). There's Korean tofu soup, Thai food, ice cream, congee, skewers, lots of businesses open later at night, and a little bit of shopping. Lots of memories made here.

I'm sorry that some of you had a bad experience, but ours was great, especially considering we arrived only 20 minutes before closing, when most business owners are ready to head home. Oh, and let me add that I'm Mexican and gay, so as far as being racist or discriminating goes... FAR FROM IT!! I did correct my Goddaughter for grabbing something from the display window--not okay! Plus, she's 12 and should know better, period. The owners were very kind in gently explaining why it wasn't okay, and I appreciated that because their house, their rules! Kids need to understand that when you walk into someone's place of business--or even their home--you should be respectful and ask for permission or assistance before touching things. Again, thank you both for all the great recommendations and for being so kind about my pup, who was on a leash and wearing a diaper to ensure there were zero accident possibilities. Our pup loved you guys! She's usually a little shy at first, but she walked right up to both of you. Dogs know. We'll definitely be back to check out some of the games you have when we have more time to browse. Like I said, we came right before closing, and even though it's a business, everyone wants to go home after work, and we respected that. No attitude, no pressure--just two kind business owners doing what they love.

When I entered there was a few people working and they were all helpful. They guided me and helped me found the funko pop I was looking for. But when I doubled back, I saw that I was in the corner of the entrance of the lot. I decided to park on the street to play it safe and then walked over to the store. I was excited to see soo many pops in one place, especially the ones that were rarer and more expensive. Their pop prices start at $10.00 for their common ones and goes up from there based on rarity, if it was exclusive to a convention or so and more. There were also mystery packs and pop protectors for sale as well. The pops were sorted by either movie, show or collection. The expensive ones were mostly placed in a glass case and the walls were just filled with shelves of these different pops. It felt like a museum to me as I looked at the different pops with little price tags placed on them if they were above the $10.00 price point. There were a few that cost below $10.00 or what they actually would be worth due to damages, wear or other things that would affect the price.Upstairs they had most of the common pops for $10.00. Both times I visited, I ended up getting some pops for my boyfriend and I hehe And I liked the fact that they throw in a pop protector when you check in. I think the downside of this company is when you try buying Mystery Boxes online. They were selling some over the weekend and released them online at noon, but I had no luck the first two days and then gave up on the third day. I guess I would try next time, but those bots and technical difficulties on my end are killer...
