We enjoyed visiting Morning Light 2 different times during our stay in Great Falls. They make a delicious London Fog (earl grey tea with vanilla, honey and milk), and their espresso drinks were excellent too. We loved loved their delicious monkey bread cinnamon rolls and other treats, and really appreciated the inside space: lots of tables for remote computer work, nice high tables looking out over an outside patio, and a cozy fireplace on one end. This was so helpful for us as our local Airbnb had no functional working space. We will be sure to visit here again on our next visit to the area! read more

My husband always talked about how he always sees ads for these guys' bakery, so we decided to give it a try. It looks somewhat like a tattoo shop on the outside. When you walk in it smells great, like coffee of course... but when we got to the counter all there was in terms of baked goods were two cinnamon rolls and a few muffins. Nothing else. What we ordered: A small black decaf - tasted like it had been sitting in the pot all day. Kind of disappointing since they are coffee roasters. We wanted to actually try their coffee only to be met with a burnt taste Large caramel macchiato- this was pretty good A cinnamon roll- so effing dry A scone- this one was okay Nice vibe on the inside though! I like this coffee shop's anesthetic. It's comfortable and the semi curtain creates a more private locale. This place also has a drive thru. We got the coffee flight and it was very good: Cold brew, iced coffee with strawberry cold foam, affogatto, caramel macchiato, and mocha latte. The breakfast burritos were tasty but a little on the small side. Their salsa ranch is oddly satisfying. The coffees were strong and flavorful. Evenly priced. Would go here again. read more

Whether you're in to meet someone for coffee, have a good few hours to study, or just enjoy your morning cup, it's a great place to come into. The consistent quality of their drip roasts and lattes makes for a never disappointing stop in and I've only seen good service and friendliness from the employees. I got a cinnamon roll and it tasted good until I pulled a long strand of hair out of a bite I had just taken. I was already irritated by the outrageous 4.75 for the tiniest cinnamon roll you have ever seen. I immediately left and went to wheat Montana. There I can get a cinnamon roll the size of a dinner plate for 5$. And it tastes significantly better. If you want good coffee AND good breakfast, probably go somewhere else. read more

The new location has such a cute atmosphere. The company also freshly roasts their own beans in store (you can watch through a window). Highly recommend stopping in if you want to expand your taste from the corporate coffee companies. There is also an outdoor patio which you can bring your dog out on. Come for the coffee and NOT for the atmosphere. This a "to go" place. There were 5 people working, all of who looked at us when we walked in none of them greeted us nor smiled. Get a few personalities here folks. Were you all pissed off at one another? The small grinders and roaster were obviously loud and continuous but the slamming around of the roasted bean buckets was most unnerving. Get a commercial grinder, and place it out of customer ear shot. Having the knowledge of owning our own coffee houses and roasting business we have a decent grasp of to how your product and people make all the difference with the success of a business. Meh - This review is not for coffee since I was already highly caffeinated for the day. More, I was looking for a place to settle down and study for a bit. I got a London Fog which was way too hot and had minimal Earl Grey flavor. Usually, you steep the tea and add milk later, and then a dash of vanilla on top. Instead, I got a hot cup of milk with a tea bag in it. The atmosphere was doable. I love the different areas and how things were spaced out and roomy. There's an area with couches near a faux fireplace and then open middle seating. You can also sit along the coffeebar if you wanted. I guess this is nitpicking but I found it a bit odd that they played no music at all and it was dead quiet in the roastery. Usually there's some ambient music playing in the coffeeshops I've always gone to to help obscure some of the conversations happening around you. I swear it's not a Seattle thing! In terms of a roastery setup, it's a bit less show-offy than other places and more Winco-like in terms of showing off the bean selection in glass containers with bean origins written on the front. It could be laid out a bit cozier. I heard there's a back area? But not sure. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in Great Falls for remote working. The building doesn't look very big from the outside, but there are plenty of tables inside. For $2 you can get a mug of coffee to stay and one free refill on it. Also they have a great selection of pastries to go with it. Can't beat that when you're grinding through some work. read more

Been told two shots are always added, then told we never add shots unless you ask for them. Last order tasted like dairy instead of coconut/almond. Dairy sensitive here so gonna worry a little. Ever since they moved locations, the food and coffee has been bad. It used to be the best, now it's sad like the rest.

I have always purchased my espresso beans from Morning Light. My espresso machine broke down and we went months without ordering any supplies from Morning Light. I used Morning Light to service and repair my machine. Up until today- I was completely happy with the product and service I received. I went in to the store today to get espresso beans. I wasn't sure what kind of beans we typically bought- I explained that my employee normally calls in the order- so I was unsure of what to buy. She inquired with a fellow employee (who typically knows what businesses order) and was told "She is not a customer." Overhearing this- I walked over and explained who I was and what business I was with- and I got the same response." You are not a customer." But, wait- you just serviced my machine- I said. " Yes, and I charged you, because you are not a customer." Hmmm... so let me make sure I understand this. I purchase all of my espresso supplies from you for years. I have a broken machine- I have no need to purchase beans- I pay for you to service and fix my machine- I come back into to buy more supplies.... however I am not a customer. Well- you are right. This is a cozy little watering hole in downtown GF. They have a big variety of coffees and teas, mostly coffee. They have a regular clientel that comes for coffee but new people are always welcome. what the lack indecor they make up for with friendliness. Keep your own cup on the shelf to use regularly. Games are available to play and there is always a newspaper laying around to read, and books available on the shelf. It's in the old Eddies Steam Bakery .There is a large parking lot accross the street(Dairy Queen) which is never full.That's where we parked. Great Place to relax! read more

I love the new location. I have had several breakfast items, such as the ham and Swiss roll, and the breakfast burrito and all were amazing! I am so impressed with Morning Light! I guess there are times when an experience isn't optimum as stated below. My experiences have always been wonderful. As a person who does not live in Great Falls, but travels there it is my go to place. Espresso is so good I can't wait to get back for another.
