We loved this little local coffee spot.. We always strive to find local spots when we travel and I'm glad we found this one. There is seating outing on the deck, outside on the front lawn (picnic tables), and in the basement! I ordered an iced americano and it was perfect. Although we did not order food, the food we seen come out of the kitchen looked delicious. The kid (he was young) working the counter was friendly and helpful. Not only was he taking orders and making drinks but he was cooking as well (there were a few other people that helped out when he got busy, but he could do everything!) All in all a great experience.. great coffee, great customer service.. we'll have to try the food next time. read more

The place itself is a bit run-down and could definitely use some renovations, but if you're there for the food, it's easy to look past the worn appearance. They brought a refrigerated pie and set on our table before we even got our food. They didn't have a sack big enough to carry the pie. A customer helped carry it to our car. By the time we got it home it had started to melt. Too much for the pie and too much for the hamburgers. We will never go back there. read more

A really great breakfast and coffee spot! It's very unassuming from the exterior, but a real gem when you walk in. This place has a variety of coffee and latte flavors, and special flavors each season. Their coffee is from black rifle coffee imported from Salt Lake City, and was delicious! A plus is they open super early - 5:30am for the early risers! My husband and I came around 6:30am and ordered an omelette with any toppings we wanted (on their menu), and a pancake. The pancake was huge and topped with blueberries! The omelette came with a choice of any Biscuit or toast. We got the white chocolate strawberry biscuit, and was delicious! Everything came out fresh, and the price was great. Plenty of parking, and friendly employees! Would love to try one of their pies next time. Apparently it starts coming around 10am since it's freshly baked. Lovely spot and highly recommend! read more

The people working here really stole my heart. They were so kind and helpful. I got a breakfast burrito. It was decent, but the bacon inside was absolutely undercooked. I also got one of their sweet biscuits, which is NOT a scone, except that it sure seems like one. In any event, I loved that thing. My problem was with the breakfast sandwich, because they burned the sausage to a black crisp. Normally I would have said something, but in this case my order was made to go, and we didn't realize the problem until I was long gone. With this isn't mind I'd still suggest it to someone in Great Falls, but it absolutely impacted my experience for the negative. The sweet biscuits, and the lovely staff get 5 stars. read more

The food here was awesome, my wife and I with 3 kids were full and satisfied and only spent $47. Which for a whole family is pretty good in my book for dining out. The service was very polite and accommodating. And the vibe was very chill even when there was a line out the door. Somehow they made our two eggs with hash browns and link sausages and bacon tastier than we have had in a longtime. Service was pretty good, many people ordered all at once and food was pretty steady to go out. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes, the breakfast combo and coffee. The pancakes were the best thing we had, they were large and had a ton of chocolate chips. The rest of our food was what pulled the review down. I visited Double Barrel twice during my short trip to Great Falls. First time, I got a regular coffee and bought a whole strawberry crumble pie which was a big hit with my family. The second time, it was a quick coffee date with my husband and the lady who helped us, made my latte extra special. The cinnamon bun was huge! Enough for my husband and I I share. OK breakfast. Biscuits are fresh and tasty. The Haystack Breakfast was large and filling. The pork was very scarce however... could hardly taste it. The Biscuit Sandwich was so-so according to my wife. This place is clean and can get busy, so the limited seating can be an issue. If you are looking for a quick and hefty breakfast that is wallet friendly, this place is will fit your needs. If you dislike plastic silverware (have you ever had to search for a broken-off plastic fork tine in your biscuits and gravy or, had to get your pocket knife out to eat your BBQ?) then maybe you need to look elsewhere. Now we are not foo-foo, nose in the air folks, but plastic silverware immediately makes me cringe. That said, the service was friendly and the coffee good. Take it for what it is... OK. read more

You can't beat a biscuit made from scratch, especially when it's used as a sandwich. I also tried the breakfast burrito, it was good but honestly it was just too much food. The food was homemade and they had it out to us within just 10 minutes or so. The prices were reasonable which I appreciated. It was a little small though. So it wouldn't be good for groups.
