Great little coffee kiosk in Fruita CO. Was in need of coffee on a long drive. Great coffee. Wife loves the Mexican Mocha

Coffee. Drive thru. Happy service. Need I say more? This place is absolutely perfect, so happy to have it hear in Fruita.

The coffee itself is undeniable…read more They are brewing Cat and Cloud beans here, which is a seriously respected roaster, and you can really taste that baseline quality in the cup. My absolute go-to is their breve latte with an extra shot. It's fire. The half-and-half is always steamed to a perfect microfoam, never scorched, and that extra pull of espresso balances the whole rich profile beautifully. It's the kind of drink that makes you want to sit back and just enjoy a quiet morning. Truth be told, the quiet morning part is where things get a little complicated. The atmosphere leans pretty far to the left, which is completely fine. People are free to do their thing. But sometimes that overly expressive vibe spills over into my personal bubble when I just want to enjoy a cup of joe. On my most recent visit, I got stuck sitting near a couple, and the woman was literally reading aloud from a therapy book. She was lecturing her male companion on the exact appropriate way he needs to talk to her in their relationship. I'm all for healthy communication. Listening to a live couples counseling session at nine in the morning is not exactly pleasant, though. It's a funky place, and they definitely cater to a specific crowd, which fits their eclectic, community-driven aesthetic perfectly. If you're into that kind of high-energy sharing, you'll probably rate this place five stars without blinking. I'll definitely keep coming back because that breve latte is just too good to pass up. I just might start bringing a good pair of headphones. Sometimes a guy just wants to drink his coffee in peace.

I'm sure on any other day this would've been a five-star experience so I'm gonna chalk it up to…read morebeing a fluke. However, it was a very unsavory fluke. Walking in, I fell in love with the adorable, retro chic without being too pretentious vibe. The barista was so friendly that I felt like I made a new best friend upon arriving. And I was the first person there. I made a point to get there right after they opened because I was on a road trip, and I needed to get back on the road quickly. So I ordered a quick toast and a Cortado. The coffee came out quickly and was good, and then after 15-ish minutes, I was still waiting for the food, I thought maybe they forgot the order, so I went up to my new bestie and asked them about it, and apparently someone who was supposed to be there to make the food wasn't there yet. That was extremely frustrating. I wish they had warned me in advance that there might be a wait for the food because I would've opted not to order it, but at that point I was committed since going elsewhere would just tack on more time. 20 mins after that, I finally got my toast. Yes, 35 minutes to deliver a toasted piece of bread with some toppings and a small bed of lettuce with blueberries and seeds. At that point, I was bummed cause now my whole day was delayed. Fortunately, the toast was yum, and I know this place is beloved, so I think they just need to make sure they have someone reliable taking care of the food preparation on Sunday mornings. No more Saturday night party people!

When I arrived in the morning, there was already a long line wrapped around the bakery, but I decided to stick it out because the aroma wafting from the building smelled too amazing to pass up. I am so glad I stayed because every item I ordered was extremely fresh, absolutely delicious, and remarkably well-priced for the quality. It is the ultimate morning pit stop in Fruita, and the fantastic food made the wait more than worth it.

The front of the house was incredibly hospitable and accommodating. I fear that their quick success got to their head. They marked up the danishes 40% but refuse (2 months later now) to put a price saying they are seven dollars not five dollars each. Technically that's legal, but that's not really ethical to bait and switch at the register. I am an avid at home French pastry chef. I have specifically perfected Kouign Amann out here, but it took me a a few months to figure out how to tweak it with the elevation. Kouign Amann is basically a French morning bun to simplify it for people. They're easy to burn the bottom. This place repeatedly burns the bottom of their morning buns. The grumpy short and stout lady upfront has an attitude about it. After I kindly asked for a new one because it was burnt (due to the taste, and I literally drove back) She rolled her eyes at me and asked the other girl to go look at the bottom and get me one that didn't look as dark. The second one didn't look as dark, but sure was dry with a burnt taste. Today I went and got a morning bun and I took a bite and it taste burnt. I thought maybe the month hiatus was going to help them get their act together. No unfortunately the lady had no mercy on me. Don't buy their morning buns. They don't know how to cook them and they don't throw out bad batches. No pride in their work or transparency in their pricing. Your sister is your sister, but she's not doing you any favors at the cash register
