Morning mugs is one of my fave local coffee shops! It's the perfect place to meet with friends, study/get work done, or just enjoy by yourself. They have lots of tables, WiFi, and outlets. They have some outdoor seating as well. The staff are super friendly and they even have a fun little cup sleeve color guessing game where you can win a 10% discount on your next order. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich, I've gotten it over 5 times now and it's consistently so good! My favorite drink so far is the banana bread latte. One of the best ways (arguably) to get to know a neighborhood is through it's local coffee shop. If Morning Mugs Coffee is reflective of the surrounding neighborhood, then it must be a lovely spot to live and work. The staff was super welcoming-- we really appreciated the "guess the color game" and the subsequent 10% off card (which I will definitely take advantage of the next time I'm in town). I got a maple buzz latte large ($7) with almond milk(+$1) and it was made in about 5 mins. The coffee tasted strong and there was a soft sweet honey flavor to the drink. Tried this cute spot this morning and it was so cute! It's like a garage attached to a building and they turned it into a cafe! So cute and they share the building and bathroom with other businesses suites. Such a cute set up and they have hanging chairs too! This is a place I would come to do homework or work! The muffin was delicious & I have been loving all the different cold foam flavors so I tried this one. It was good and if you enjoy chai, then you would enjoy this drink! The cold brew was just that, not much flavor there. I love how quick the service was as well! There was a line when we got in but I swear people were getting their drinks within a minute of ordering! Morning Mugs made all of us feel right at home. Dogs are totally welcome on the patio, and there's even a pup cup station inside so your furry friends can indulge too. Mine was thrilled. Inside, the vibe is super inviting. It's the kind of café that clearly cares about regulars and newcomers alike. The barista recommended their famous Banana Bread Latte, and I had to try it. WOW a true 10/10! The banana flavor is real, not artificial, and it pairs perfectly with espresso. I also ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, which was served on a flaky, buttery croissant, layered with sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and sharp cheddar. Pro tip: order a side of their lime crema for dipping ... it was honestly incredible and tied all the flavors together. I loved it so much that I came back the next morning before heading back to Virginia Beach (couldn't resist). This time, I tried the Blueberry Cookie Butter Latte .... absolutely amazing. It's creamy, subtly sweet, and a fun, unique twist I haven't seen anywhere else. Another huge plus: the owner is extremely friendly. On my first visit, he even brought down the big bear mascot so my friend's kid could give it a hug, which totally made the morning. What a super cute local coffee shop in fed hill. It's in the cut in the middle of a neighborhood, so if you don't know it's there you'd never stumble on it. Before I entered I noticed the guy in one of the yelp pictures for this place sitting outside after filming. I said wait I saw you on a picture with the teddy bear. He was so upbeat, friendly and cool. Entered and was warm and friendly greeted and assisted with selecting my order. I ordered a dirty pumpkin creme chai and a blueberry banana nut muffin. I was NOT disappointed with my order and loved the moist struedl muffin with both of my favorite flavors together. The chai was at its best. After finishing my order I was asked by the staff and bear guy lol how was my first with them. I happily informed that I loved my selection and will be back. Bear guy is utterly upbeat, personable and friendly. And with pleasure he thanked me and introduced himself as TYLER. So Tyler the dude with the bear in the picture thank you for the goodness in my selection and the atmosphere. Oh I was given a chance to play figure out the color. I chose orange but it was green. Finally got to try this spot after following them on Instagram forever!! The vibes are definitely cute. The shop is in a cute little side street of Fed Hill and it looks like a garage on the outside. The inside is smaller than I expected, but cozy nonetheless. I ordered a spring menu iced latte, a hot chai, and a breakfast sandwich with the black bean patty. While I was ordering I felt kind of rushed, the worker asked "is that all?" after every single thing I ordered and even cut me off a couple times to finish my sentence. I did like that we got to guess our cup cozy colors though (I got both of them wrong lol) but if you guess the color right you get 10% off! The latte was absolutely delicious and the breakfast sandwich was great too. The black bean patty was divine, crispy with corn and lots of seasoning. The staff were super nice. Sadly, they were out of brown sugar syrup so I opted for vanilla instead. The workers have you guess a color for your coffee holder as a fun, engaging game. I sadly did not guess the right color, which only means I'll have to go back! The coffee was extremely smooth and not too sweet. Love love love! As a huge matcha girlie, I genuinely cannot get enough of this place! The open concept is everything, especially with the nice weather coming up, it just hits different. They have plenty of outlets, and the building has a unisex bathroom with 3 stalls (located our the doors and all the way down the hallway) which is always a plus. They also give out free water, which I really appreciate, especially when you're out walking and just need a little sip without buying a whole drink. The line can get pretty long, so if you're not feeling the wait, just place a mobile order! But honestly, waiting has its perks, when you order, you get to guess the color of your drink sleeve, and if you guess right, you get 10% off your next order. It's such a cute concept and just adds to the whole experience. I haven't tried the food yet so I really can't speak on that, but the drinks are SO good.
