This place is not only the best brunch spot in Baltimore, maybe one of the best I have had anywhere. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but you gotta start off with their house made cinnamon roll. You'll never want one from anyplace else. The service is swift and polite. Lots of pop art decorating the walls. Like a mini museum.

I always make sure this is my first stop when I visit Baltimore. I love their breakfast and their Cap'n Crunch French toast... however this time I really wanted some hollandaise... should not have gotten cheese on my hashbrowns, it was a lot on top of the cheesy grits that I ordered. A very heavy meal for my first meal when I arrived at 8 AM. The staff is beyond friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the art inside of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really wish I had the stomach to order the cinnamon roll because it is my favorite thing there and it's the size of a dinner plate. Be sure to come by if you're in the area! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, I like this location better than the other one it's less crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Customer Service-We had a large party, and the wait time was very lengthy. I was super nervous as it got closer to 3 pm that they wouldn't be able to seat us, but they did, and after. We all ordered, but the kitchen was closed. Food The star of the show is the Captain Crunch French Toast. This isn't just brunch, it's an experience. Golden Texas toast topped with a dose of nostalgia, the infamous Captain Crunch Cereal toasted to perfection, and topped with fresh fruit and cream. No wonder it's widely known as a signature menu item and a true Baltimore staple. I mean, it's called a must-order for locals and visitors for a reason. Trust me, when you order it, after your first bite, you'll understand why. Ambiance [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment you walk in, the vibe is eclectic and lively, setting the tone for a brunch that's anything but basic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking Pure Hell! It's metered street parking. Good luck finding something close and not near the harbor.

Love this place. Every time I come to Blue Moon Too, I swear I'll get something other than the Captain Crunch French toast, but I always end up getting it. It's not that there's nothing else good on the menu... Just look at the picture and you'll see why. Everything here is great. The Sweet Baby Jesus is amazing. And the Heuvos Rancheros too. And there's a new menu item that's French toast smothered in crab imperial. Maybe next time lol. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe here is really good, as is the service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Be sure to get here early as it fills up fast. We usually try to get here around 8:30.

One of our local Baltimore friends recommended this place to try. Our party of nine had to wait for a little over an hour to get seated on Sunday for brunch. Everyone enjoyed the food. I got to try their Salsarittos added some chorizo (pretty much like a breakfast burrito) and the sweet baby Jesus (fully loaded with some delicious jumbo lump crab). Their cinnamon bun roll was out of this world too and a must try! Despite of the long wait time, our first visit to this place was truly memorable.

I would highly recommend anyone who's looking for brunch in the Fed Hill area to run here! We had Blueberry Pancakes and Sin Roll French Toast. Both came out delicious with a side of Turkey Bacon and Eggs. On top of the great food, the customer service was superb! I'll be coming back for brunch soon.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the classic feel of this old diner style breakfast and brunch spot in Federal Hill, Baltimore. It had that nostalgic charm, and the service matches it perfectly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming. I came here to try the Captain Crunch French toast, and it did not disappoint. It tasted like they used brioche bread coated in crushed cereal. It was light, fluffy, and delicious. Parking can be a bit tricky, but if you do not mind walking a few minutes, it is worth it. I would definitely come back for the same dish and maybe try the crab omelette next time.

I recently went to Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point and also just checked out this location in Fed Hill. This cafe is a lot bigger than the Fells Point one. They weren't seating guests outside but since we had my dog, they accommodated us which was really nice. We ordered the Vegetarian omelette and the Full Moon with French Toast and bacon. They came out relatively quickly and were good hearty portions. Our server was friendly and we enjoyed our experience here. A good spot for some good breakfast and brunch options.

We had a great girls date and ordered the chorizo (hell fire) hash and the captain crunch French toast. The hash was not spicy as advertised so we doused it in more hot sauce. The servers were very attentive and provided more hot sauce without us asking. The French toast was DELISH! clearly why it is a favorite.

I was super excited to come here for brunch. I was staying in the Baltimore area and had a free day to explore the city. We searched online and saw the Cap'n' Crunch French Toast all throughout my social media feed. It was a nice day to walk to Federal Hill and stop by. All the tables were packed so I was able to get a seat at the bar. I already knew what I wanted so it was convenient. The French Toast itself comes around $20. You should get the full breakfast for an extra charge to make it worth it. It comes with eggs and bacon. The food was on point. I enjoyed the French Toast. I haven't tried Cap'n' Crunch since I was a child. They do have several other options that I would love to try sometime. The PB and Jelly French Toast, Pina Colada French Toast, and Crab Dip French Toast all seem like exciting options. Great service here. I would love to come again next time I am in Baltimore.

So many people recommended that I come here and that it was worth however long I'd have to wait for a table. I went on a Saturday morning around 9:45 and waited about 25 minutes for a table for 2. The menu is EXTENSIVE and they have an option for pretty much anything you're in the mood for! I got the Mexican egg scramble and the pumpkin pancakes to share. The prices might seem slightly on the higher side for a breakfast place, but once you get your food you'll understand why. The portions are generous and the food is delicious! I ended up taking half of the food home and I genuinely looked forward to eating it as leftovers - which fed me for multiple meals. 12/10 would recommend the pumpkin pancakes no matter what season it is. They come with white chocolate chips, fruit, and a caramel drizzle on top. The French toast also looked incredible so I'll be sure to order that the next time I go! I read more

We went looking for a weekday breakfast near Fed Hill, and thought of Blue Moon Too. (Apr 2026) It's an easy to find bright blue storefront on Light Street, just north of the Cross Street Market. At 10am on a weekday, we found metered street parking right at their corner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a large space, with walls covered with art. There's around 52 seats at tables of mostly 4 and 2, with one for around 12. There was a 2-seat-table set up outside, and a bunch more available down the side of the restaurant that could be set up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We chose a table for the two of us, and server immediately offered us hot coffee in big steaming mugs. The menu, available online and by QR code, is huge! We ordered Veggie Scramble: 3-eggs lusciously full of mushrooms onions green peppers and tomatoes. They let us choose feta cheese! And the hash browns were epic! A mountain of creamy shredded potatoes, well-done to a crispy crunchy surface! And we got their Huevos Rancheros: open-faced 2-egg tacos, flavorful medium-spicy Mexican chorizo sausage and salsa verde under melted cheddar-cheese, over warm soft corn tortillas, with a side of those amazing hashbrown shredded potatoes. We got the eggs scrambled. Both breakfast servings were ample and delicious. Service was friendly, fast, and efficient. A few flaws: They have no espresso! Waah! The strong black coffee tasted a little bit bitter, maybe brewing for too long, but it was fine with milk and sugar. We each had two cups, which tells you the bottom-line :-). And, we made a point of choosing a two-person table, while one person waiting for a date was asked rather sternly by the manager to leave their only 12-person-table for a larger group. Makes sense, but it might have come-across a little too harshly. While I'm fussing, i didnt see any food photos on the QR menu. Sigh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved our generous breakfast and the whole friendly artsy atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone, even the switched-table, seemed comfortable, with friendly chatter filling the high-ceilinged hall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their sandwichboard sign out front says "Best Breakfast Ever!" This place is WORTH the hype! It is by far, one of the best breakfast spots that I've visited and from the reviews, looks like it's been holding that spot for a while. Friendly staff and fast service. You cannot reserve ahead but my boyfriend and I were seated immediately because they had a table which just opened for 2. Not sure of the wait time outside of this experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is very 80s rock coded with a few movie classics along the way. I loved some of the artwork and every detail that they put into designing this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Coffee: brewed nice and strong Stars of the food show: Sweet Baby Jesus: A burst of sweet and savory crab chunks sprinkled with old bay in every bite. The tomatoes were a refreshing break as your taste buds were recuperating from all of the savory melted cheese, hollandaise sauce, crispy hash browns, and delicious eggs. It's large enough to share but toooo good to want to share lol I thoroughly enjoyed this. Captain Crunch French Toast: This was the BEST French toast I've ever had. It's layers of goodness starting with fresh fruits on the top (blackberries, strawberries, and green apples). Next, fresh whipped cream. Then you move on to the perfectly crusted French toast and the captain crunch pieces sprinkled throughout the plate. I didn't need any syrup at all because it was sweet enough. But this was an amazing dish! My boyfriend and I did share this because it was shareable and we both wanted to indulge in it while enjoying our individual meals. I am basing my review off of a takeout order I made on 7/9/2026. Maybe it is a case of the food not traveling well, whatever it is o am not impressed. The banana pancakes were dry , my eggs looked as though the cook had no concern about presentation. They were also tasteless , and the sausage seemed to be overcooked. read more

Remember the soup Nazi from Seinfeld? That's the vibe. Worse service would be hard to imagine. Be prepared to get treated rudely at the door, do some endless scrolling to see the menu because no paper menus are available. Get treated rudely again if you dare ask for a paper menu. Then you'll have to place your order yourself clicking on this and clicking on that. All this would be bad enough but then after doing all this yourself, you are forced to pay a 20% gratuity. Of course with this treatment, nobody would leave any tips without it being mandatory. Separate checks? Lol you must be kidding. . read more

We love this place so much! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere - very Van Gogh Starry Nights meet Edgar Allan Poe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff always responsive and friendly. Food is consistently delicious. Our go to is the hobo eggs but we've also gotten the Sweet Baby Jesus, pancakes, crab cake Benedict and omelettes. ALL delicious. Had to move my daughter down to Maryland just to get a great breakfast -- but Blue Moon Too in Baltimore made it worth it. The servings are huge, the food is set up beautifully, the decor is insane, and the service was fantastic. Definitely a spot that sets the bar high. read more

Vibe, immaculate! Graffiti type paintings on the wall. Ordered an omelette with broccoli and mushrooms. Side of fruit & turkey bacon. Everything was so fresh, perfectly seasoned. This location is more modern than the original. Went on a weekday around lunch time and there was no wait. They add 20% gratuity to any checks over $50. The sweet baby Jesus was good with LOTS of crab. The captain crunch French toast was okay but I can't remember why I loved it so much when I had it about 10 years ago Their house made salsa was good as a complement to the sweet baby Jesus. read more

We come here often! My favorite dishes are the pina colada French toast, cina French toast, and pumpkin pancakes. Usually pretty busy but we never wait more than 30-45 minutes and the service is good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not too loud, nice environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very very good! Highly recommend. read more

I have tried this location twice (in Fed Hill) and overall just not for me. Both times came on Sunday around 9-9:10am. First time for 2 of us, we got seated right away, the second time was for 4 and was about a 25min wait (not a big deal since we know it's a busy spot for brunch). First visit: - Italian Omelette and Autumn Omelette: they were good, nothing special. Wasn't a fan of the apples on the omelette but that's just me. The hash browns are incredible here though! - Service was extremely bad- couldn't get a refill on coffee or water and no one ever checked in except to hand us the bill. When we first walked in, there were multiple open tables but took them 5-10mins to get us seated as they were busy talking to each other. Second visit: - Blue Moon Burger and Sweet Baby Jesus: the burger was mid but the sweet baby Jesus is definitely worth the hype! - Service again was not good and were quite rude, although we did get a refill once While the SBJ would be worth coming back for again, I'm not sure I will due the service we have received. Maybe willing to try once more as I want to try the French Toast and seeing other positive reviews (third times the charm?) 20% gratuity is automatically applied for parties of 4+ or if your bill is $50+(super easy to hit $50 for 2 people). While, I am more than happy to tip 20%+, we just did not receive good or even mediocre service. Aesthetic Diner Food. I've been eyeing this restaurant for the past year living in the neighborhood, and we finally decided to try it. Expectations didn't meet what we thought we were going to experience. The fruit was incredibly underripe. We purchased the fruit plate and 60% was inedible. The blueberries literally had my teeth mark on them! the coffee was diner quality and the French toast (and sin roll) crumbled when you ate it. Like crumbled apart. I've never had a dryer piece of bread, I'm not exaggerating. The Mexican omelette was ok. By this point we decided to view this as a diner and not a breakfast experience like maybe spoons up the street. Once we adjust to our actual experience it became a tad more bearable. It is worth the wait, you can't make a reservation in advance however I suggest stopping by as soon as they open their doors. Crab dip French toast was AMAZING. I was hesitant but packed with flavor and full of actual crab lumps. Definitely worth the $35 price tag. If you like crab dip, get this. Cheesy grits were HELLA cheesy, only needed a little butter and pinch of salt. Add those while still hot. I hate coconut but the Pina Colada French toast was very good. We visited here on a Sunday ealry afternoon for brunch, the 25 minute wait was worth it. We had the pancakes and Sweet Baby Jesus hash. The pancakes were delicious, had a hint of sweetness to it, very flavorful. I understand why the hash is called Sweet Baby Jesus, it is so good u want to say just that. It had huge chunks of crabmeat on it along with the eggs and hollandaise... it was delicious. The decor is cool, definitely generates a conversation. The servers were attentive. Two reasons why they are not a 5 star: they need to check the floor under the tables between customers, ours hand a utensil and napkins on the floor and it was noisy, almost little to noisy for us...however neither of these reasons would prevent us from going again. The parker house rolls and honey butter were amazing but things after that stagnated. The kalamari was fine, nothing wrong with it, average kalamari. But the drink I got was supposed to have rhubarb in it which you couldn't taste at all. The crab and artichoke dip was just cheese -- maybe a few small pieces of crab and not a detectable piece of artichoke in sight. Came with stale bread as well. And the crab cake (which I've had several times in the past and thought was great)? Well look at the picture - would you serve that to someone? Admittedly nice large chunks of crab with little filler but it was smushed and falling apart and on top of that it was not warm all the way through. Also it was 615 pm (the beginning of the night) and they were out of the pork belly tots which is a huge reason we decided to go there. Anyways, had good experiences in the past but this is probably our last visit. Hope it was just a fluke night in the kitchen for their sake.

UPDATE: I went back to give Blue Moon another shot and am happy to report they have drastically improved service. They are now consistently awesome. I believe my earlier review was based on an off-day or single staff member that is no longer there. I highly recommend the spot and frequent it at lunch. OLD REVIEW: I'm a long-time fan of Blue Moon but am not impressed with service in the new location. After frequenting the Aliceanna location for years at lunch on weekdays, I got a new job in Federal Hill. So when they opened close to my new place of work, I was thrilled. I've been there twice now. The first time was just ok--could have used a little more attention on the coffee at breakfast, partcularly for how empty the place was. But all in all, not bad. But the second time, I walked out after ten minutes having not been greeted--let alone getting even an opportunity for a drink. I really can't fathom why. This was around 12:30 on a Tuesday. There were three seated tables when I walked in. Since I know the place, I sat myself as is the pricedure. The waiter was busy when I first came in-- no problem. But then two more parties came in after me, both of whom were greeted and had drinks within two minutes. The waiter clearly saw me--walking past me no less than four times to greet others and get their drinks. Had he even acknowledged my presence with a 'Hello' or 'Be right with you,' I'd have hung tight and not written this bad review. But I got nothing in the ten minutes I waited. If it were slammed and no one else that came after me was getting service, I would have understood and waited patiently. As it was, I simply left, dumbfounded that the waiter couldn't say fit to even acknowledge me. So... despite great food and coffee, I think I'll stick with any one of numerous other lunch spots in Fed Hill for a good six months until they can figure out service at a relatively slow location (slow at least at the times I go there). read more

I had a wonderful experience at this charming spot in Federal Hill, Baltimore! It's got a nostalgic diner feel that instantly makes you feel comfortable, like stepping into a classic, cozy brunch destination. The heart beat of joy in our trip to B'more. Amy was our server and was a gem in the city. She gave us the best service we could ask for and went above and beyond the call of her job. Amy had great knowledge of the food as well as hot spots to visit in the city as well as Fed Hill. The food was very delish and stands to thier slogan as bad ass breakfast. This place is a must. The original location in Fells Point is very small very intimate and likely very busy. This location is Fed Hill is also busy but well worth any sort of wait! Thank you blue moon too and especially Amy. She dialed in the order with Captain crunch French toast and the frito pie French toast. Having been to the Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point before, I was already familiar with the menu, though I was pleasantly surprised to find this location much larger. Let me start by saying get there early. I went Monday moring and there was a line but it moved fast. I had the Traditional Eggs Benedict and French Toast...so good. The Eggs Benedict was seasoned well and the french toast was good, not overcooked. My girlfriend had the Old Bay Benedict and French Toast too. She loved her Old Bay Benedict and French Toast also. The Traditional Eggs Benedict was also very tasty. I recommend making a brunch reservation because it gets very packed on weekends. Without a reservation, you may have to wait an hour more. We had a very nice waitress for our breakfast which always makes everything better. We ordered Cap'n Crunch French toast cuz you just have to! At least if you've never been here before. It's really good! I would give five stars but the wait is always too long. I wish there was a way to get food faster but it was still worth it.
