I experienced my first visit to the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa this past weekend, I stayed one night, Sunday-Monday, and I can enthusiastically say that I had an incredible time! My main motivation for visiting was the pools & lazy river, which absolutely delivered. The resort area was clean and sparkling, however if I had to be picky, the women's bathroom in the pool area could have definitely been checked and cleaned more often. The music playlist in the resort was perfect and upbeat with your classic party hits, and there was enough room/chairs/tables for all of the guests to enjoy a spot in the outdoor area (we were able to get lounge chairs right in front of the lazy river both days). I made my food/drinks/eats/dining reviews separately in respect to each restaurant in the Morongo that I ate at, which were all extremely positive! I absolutely loved the selection and range of options the Morongo had to offer when it comes to dining- check out my other reviews! The casino was admittedly very fun, and I am not big on gambling nor slot machine games. I found a few machines I loved playing and found the environment very enjoyable. Very nice selection and wide range of options in the casino area for everyone to enjoy! Review regarding THE PINK FLAMINGO FRIDAYS My friends and I have really enjoyed coming and enjoying the lazy river and drinks. I do think they need to make the hours a little longer 9pm to 1am in ny opinion. Overall, I enjoy the variety of music being played by the Dj. Usually the people I run into just want to have a great time and enjoy the pools and drinks. My friends and I rented a cabana one night and really enjoyed the experience so we invited more friends and rent a cabana the following Friday. So we arrived go through the check in process as usual. As the lifeguard walked us to the cabana, we walked past the number I was originally told I was booked for and I saw people in there and it was taped off still. In my mind I thought that was odd but I also don't work there. So I was like maybe they're getting people checked in. As the night go on. I notice a crowd of people and workers touching our stuff in the cabana so I approached them. I asked if I can ask them if I can help them. The staff in blue immediately started questioning me about booking and who is the name under. I gave them the information. They seem disorganized and that they did not want to ask the other people in the other cabana about the bookings especially after me explaining this is where we was put and I explained it was tapped off. It was either they double booked or someone was there that didn't belong. It didn't take me long to figure it out. I complained about the pizza at this time as well. They said they will bring us another. So we left the pizza in there. About hour later I asked our waitress and she said they were making a fresh one. Right before midnight I asked about the pizza again and now she said oh we are just gonna issue you a refund. Like girl what?!?! I've been starving waiting on fresh pizza that was not even coming like what's really going on. Last night was our 5th time coming so the quality of the pizza was based on previous times I have came. Then the waitress said to wait in the cabana for the supervisor to come speak with us. As were waiting the officer Alex Perez i believe his name was rushing us and called the front. He said that he was told because we were being "aggressive" that we need to go to the front and speak to the supervisor we all looked confused so we were like ok lets go. We speak to the supervisor and he was not aware. One thing I can say is that the officers may need racial and ethics training or a refresher. I find it strange they rushed all of one ethnic group out their cabanas but another ethnic group were still in the cabanas chilling and not being told to leave. I tried to go back to the cabana we were in to see if the receipt was in there so they can issue the refund and the officers were giving me a hard time mindwhile other people were just chilling in their cabana not being told to get out or anything. Literally the officer was flashing his light at us and standing at our cabana until we left but others were given the same treatment. I get it, people want to wrap up for the night and be off. But if Customer service was addressed when the issue was presented then we would've left promptly and not spend an extra 20-30 mins. Find people who want to work the overtime. read more

Always honest... Monday night 2026: We were told Pescato was not open till 4pm and so we waited and turns out it was open for lunch. The staff is so recklessly dumb here, you won't believe it. So it was open and we tried to ask for one bowl of clam chowder. OH NO, stupid hostess Katelynn. She says to us, We are so busy, we can't let you have takeout. One effing bowl of chowder!!!! That's all my 85 yo mom is asking for. Get some training dear girl. You are an embarrassment to the establishment. Bye. For a Sunday...HIGH PASS! (Mostly the weekends) We've been coming to Morongo for the last 12 years...Circa 2026, we will probably find a new casino to go to. We have loved Morongo for many years! After the most recent renovations, we were excited to come here again. WOW, the GHETTO-NESS of it all. I can't even tell you how ghetto it has become. Sadly, the CLASSLESS people at the pool trying to claim loungers that weren't theirs and when confronted, their language in front of children was despicable and disgusting. Moving on to the newer restaurants at Morongo...there's nothing to write home about. The Mexican band next to Wahlburgers is incredibly TOO LOUD. We couldn't eat in any peace. Most of the smoking sections are not enclosed (yes there is one section enclosed by the entrance) but by the burger place, smoking is allowed in public by all tables. So while I'm trying to eat my burger, I'm bombarded by the loudest music and smoke coming from all ways in the air. At least my fries are piping Hot. Yamava, here we come next time. Sorry, Morongo. Our first time to stay at this hotel. We have two rooms and both beautiful and well equipped. Big rooms and comfortable beds. They have lazy river included in the room for 4 each room. Variety of restaurants available. Excellent staff service from Housekeeping to front desk. 18 years old and older allowed to play at the casino. Casino doesn't smell like smoke; though people are allowed to do so. They also have a small food court available that has Panda Express, Italian, and Mexican cuisine. 8-12-2026 read more

Morongo! Commercial casinos are permitted only in those states that have specifically legalized them (like Nevada does in Reno and Las Vegas). California has not legalized commercial casinos. So how do Morongo, Yamaava, Agua Caliente and the other California casinos do it? They are all located on Indian lands. Native American tribes can own casinos in certain areas due to tribal sovereignty, which allows federally recognized tribes to operate largely independently of state gambling regulations, so long as they do so on sovereign lands. What's different? Primarily, no Sports Book, and no traditional roulette or craps (they use cards instead of dice or a roulette ball). Also, slot machine payouts are not as transparent as, say, Nevada state gaming laws require. Also, no high end shopping, but the Cabazon outlets are right next door, and El Paseo shopping in Palm Desert is right down the lane. What's the same? Super giant gaming floor with a zillion slots machines from one penny to $500 per pull. There's a fancy steakhouse on top which I will try next time, an AYCE buffet, and a few other restaurants. I was asked how I wanted to spend my birthday... I had to come to Morongo, hit the lazy river, then gamble at night! Was perfect weather and our bartender at the pool was phenomenal. Morongo has to address the amount of 18 year olds running around. (Perhaps they're 21 but it didn't appear so). They tend to jump on a table, make one bet, get rowdy, and don't play with correctly. When 1 person makes a bet, their 8 person group stands behind them making the table feel cramped. They then leave immediately and will circle back to jump back in and do it again. It's Just not the most enjoyable experience at the tables. The only thing missing at this casino is a craps table! They have electronic craps but nothing beats the feeling of throwing dice. I will say I was happy to hit an unexpected hand pay at the end of my day. I'll be back for the lazy river for sure. Always a good time read more

Thursday night during summer is throwback tribute band night by the pool and Friday nights are Flamingo Friday pool party nights with live DJs. The Bon Jovi tribute band Thursday night was a lot of fun, and the best part of the trip was the Juneteenth Flamingo Friday night pool party. The energy was fantastic, the pool was well heated, decor was pink flamingos, DJs were great, and the dance floor was energized! I had such a great time. Table game minimums are pretty high, but still a lot of fun. The new poker room is stylin'. Rooms are luxurious and so comfortable! The Sandy Beach pool, lazy river, waterslide, and two hot tubs are the bomb. The gym is also superb, as is the spa. I did some shopping at the Cabazon outlets and came away with some cute new things. I've been coming to this casino for 15 years, it's always a good time! They have done some major renovations over the years since I've last been here. I love what they have done, definitely upgraded! The blackjack dealers are pretty friendly, mixed with a few that aren't. The only downside to this property is that isn't 18+ so you do get a very young crowd on the weekends. It keeps it lively inside, only they are all new to gambling, and jump in and out of the tables a lot. They also seem to pool their money, so 1 guy will play while the other 6 stand over him and watch. Just makes the whole table and casino floor feel overly crowded, with a lot of them not even gambling. Still a great place to play! read more

The food court had Fatburger, Panda Express, Fiesta Taco, Italian Kitchen, Ruffed Feathers. Wahburgers next door. So many new slots that I haven't seen before. Be sure to call ahead and reserve a cabana or daybed they're reasonably priced and well worth it. For an extra discount get your morongo club card before paying for your cabana. Your reservation also includes a snack box stocked with sodas, bottled water, chips, and candy, which is a nice added touch. Once you're settled, you can lounge by the pool or head straight for the lazy river. Floating along with a drink in hand while soaking up the sun is about as relaxing as it gets. The pool staff regularly checks in to see if you need anything, and you can order food and drinks right from your spot. One of the biggest perks is that when you've had enough sun, you can walk right into the casino to try your luck at the slots or table games it's the best of both worlds. A couple of tips: if you have flexibility, visit while school is in session. It's noticeably less crowded, making for a much more relaxing experience. Also, the music can get pretty loud, so conversations with your group may be a little challenging at times. Overall, if you're looking for a fun, affordable staycation or a relaxing day trip, Morongo delivers. If you can stay here on a less popular day (we stayed on a Sunday), the rates are pretty reasonable (Fri and Sat are significantly more expensive). The staff was nice and polite, the rooms were clean and looked quite new with nice amenities. The lazy river and pool are nice and you're able to use them before your room is available on your day of check in, as well as your day of check out. There's a tram to the auxiliary casino where there's bingo. Bingo is expensive for the whole enchilada package where you play over 100 cards per game, which sounds nice until you realize everyone is playing a similar number of cards and some people have multiple tablets, so your chances aren't great. But it took up some time and stretched that $110 for longer than the equivalent time playing slots. We didn't come here to gamble, just to hang out and relax. It was good for that. And there were reasonable food options at the food court inside where you could get a pretty decent meal for $20-25. All in all, not bad. We enjoyed the trip here. read more

You can tell that Morongo tried to create an oasis in the desert and they've created a nice "not in Vegas", Vegas experience! Located right off the 10 freeway you can see this place from miles away! The main building towers about everything else for miles! Once you get off the freeway there are several food options before you get inside as well as an extremely large parking garage! Parking isn't a problem here! I didn't noticed if there were EV chargers but there is a gas station. I didn't make it into the spa or the pool but the main casino is well thought out! It's designed in an oval with restaurants, restrooms and cashier's cages on the exterior and the main casino with machines and tables on the interior. It's presented like a legit casino as they host concerts, theres's a hotel with a lazy river and several restaurants ranging from burgers and fries to steak. There are very clean bathrooms, lots of tv's promoting events and specials plus lots of security. Also I don't want to forget the smoking section (even a smoking slot room). I came on a Monday afternoon on a whim and it wasn't too crowded. Seems like a place where you can just unplug and gamble or it could be a good option for a four or five day stay-cation where you just check in for a couple of days minus the drive or flight to Vegas! Outside shower and the gate that let out to the main pool area we took my aunt for an early Mother's Day excursion. You pay for that separately at the bar. They also give you a complementary ticket for a free mimosa. All the waiters and waitresses are very attentive. They pick up your plates right away. The poker room caters to locals only which is weird because it is a "resort". They will "rabbit hunt" when locals ask but not guests. I walked in with another man. He bee lined it to an open seat when I went to check in at the board. Even though I checked in first they gave the seat to him. I did not make a big deal. An hour and a half later I check to see if I am still on the board as I am playing 1/3. I was on the board but now someone is listed before me. Lo and behold ! He was a regular. I told the floor and they did nothing except tried to make up some story as to why. Three reasons why Morongo treats guests or non locals like second class citizens. New room is nice. They've got table games, a sea of slot machines, and a designated smoking section. You will know the moment you cross that invisible boundary because your nose won't lie and your lungs will burn like a hot summer's day in, well, Cabazon. Feeling snacky? Pop into Wahlburgers for a burger and pretend Mark Wahlberg personally grilled it for you. Overall, Morongo holds its own. She's not trying to be Vegas. Soooo many slots here, many of which I've never seen before. The crowd is certainly diverse - from a group of 18 year old boys, to families, to seniors. On the weekend it gets pretty busy. It's kept pretty clean. There's a food court and a couple of restaurants, some decent options here. Parking was super easy despite them being busy over the weekend. Can't speak on the rooms, but based on the casino floor, I'd imagine they're pretty nice. It's a 4 star hotel after all. read more

I did not stay at the Casino, but reserved a spot at their Flamingo Fridays Oasis Pool Party and let me tell you....it was AWESOME! When first walking in, there is an impressive view of the whole pool area. The shallow wading pool was flanked by beach lounge chairs with plenty of room to mingle and socialize. Next up was the spacious 3 foot deep pool with giant inflatable flamingos with a perfect water temperature. Now the main attraction was the luxurious lazy river with ample inner tubes for all. The drink specials were very affordable and the DJ was spinning all the best current hits as well as some choice old skool joints. There was a real PARTY on the dance floor that Friday night....just saying. I 100% will be back and I 100% recommend the Friday Night pool party for anyone who is looking for a good time. read more

Morongo itself is a fun casino. I remember coming here for my 18th birthday when they just opened. It's definitely a younger crowd because it allows gambling at such a young age compared to the other casinos around. I really like the rooms and the pool is great too overall a fun time to come and visit! ... and it's right off the freeway, so it's conveniently located. The only downside is you're staying at the hotel and you bring a cooler security will check before you go upstairs. I thought that was really weird and I didn't like that aspect of the check-in other than that it's a good time. read more

Then ,the server was so friendly ,polite, and helpful with the food choices,she was a good one. Then ,as I was enjoying the atmosphere before my food was served, I had a little conversation with a couple of employees,one was a fellow veteran,and we had a very nice chat about our past efforts in the sandbox. Then a floorman from the gaming area came by to help with anything,that could make my experience better at morongo.i don't know why the employees were treating me like a rock star,but I liked it. Was staying in Rancho Mirage to celebrate my partner's birthday. Came here after going out for a birthday dinner. Preface: my partner is completely blind, also bald and with many tattoos. He uses Meta glasses as sunglasses and to tell him what is around. We were sitting at a slot machine and I left to go to the atm. As I was walking back I saw 2 officers speaking with him. They were 2 tribal safety officers who were harassing him for wearing Meta glasses. He then asked for my partner's ID and took a picture of it. Said it's policy to not have recording devices. We were both angry and ended up asking to speak to the manager of security. Two additional tribal safety personnel came. They kept insisting that it is "policy" to not have recording devices in the casino. We both asked for the signage and they said the signage is all over the front door. I asked if the signage was offered in braille or in electronic format...silence and then one of the officers said I should have told him which is the most stupid answer. Also, I was sitting on my phone for at least 10 minutes on a slot machine and was never approached by a tribal officer. My iPhone is a recording device. This casino is ridiculous. Just because it is a "policy" doesn't make it right. Do they approach every single person who has their phone out?!? Will never be coming here again. read more
