We stayed here while heading to Palm Springs. The park is small but has all the essentials. We brought our senior dog; it's walkable and secure, though there's no gate, so it feels exposed. However, we didn't see any non-guests in the park. It was a very quiet stay, and we'd choose to stay here again. read more

Came with my camping club. Great clubhouse. Spaces are all different sizes so let them know exactly what you need. Lots of trees so let them know if you use a satellite. Close to area activities, Palm Springs, Whitewater Preserve, apple picking, casinos and shopping Bathrooms could use a little sprucing but I use my shower so not a problem but some of my club members mentioned that to me. The star review is in the nasty range. Teresa the manager is a delightful British gal. As with Collin's review, whom we don't know, things have come to roost during our stay as well. Now for the very low rating...Last night our car alarm was set off. Lock everything up. It's truly night and day which part you stay in. When you value your rigs and pay a bit more even as a loyal KOA Member.. Security/Comfort is essential. GEEEZ ... A huge issue here has been when the long term neighbors get into fights with each other. There seems to be a bit of drug issues going on..shocking as it maybe. Just a simple trip to throw in a load of laundry was an absolutely nightmare and unacceptable. Not to mention how dirty it was in there. Thankfully we have a very nice shower. There is a need and highly suggested for external cameras around. We'd also want the owner to contact us for directly. WE foolishly paid a bit of money to stay here. Shameful with this KOA at a convenient location to be so disgusting. read more

My wife and I stayed here for a few days, and other then the kind sweet and cool gal that welcome us, the rest of the stay was horrible. The grounds are messy, as well as the laundry room, and the grounds keepers kelp using there machines, after 730 at night. And then trying to use the mens bathroom, was terrible, the key code was broken, and when stopping into the office some very grump old lady was not helpful at all. She was just chatting it up with her gal pals, which also were rude. So in short, dont ever stay here at all. It is not worth your time, or money. But other then that some campers were pretty cool. We just stayed here and I have to say, this is probably our worst KOA experience of many KOAs. First of all, there's a rooster somewhere nearby that begins cockle-doodle-dooing at 4am, and doesn't stop every ten seconds until at least 7 am. There were two men nearby our campsite getting into a fistfight at 11pm (and we were afraid a gun would be pulled), then on the second night, an idiot next to us in a big rig decides to start throwing 500lbs of equipment in his trunk and then idling his engine for at least 15min at 3:45 in the morning!! If they're going to rent spaces to big rigs, they need to be kept from regular campers who aren't on trucker hours. The other annoying thing is that you have to enter a code to get in bathroom and it gets changed every week. Not only that, the door to the bathroom is so heavy I doubt a child could ever open it. The only redeeming factor is that there are beautiful views all around the camp and the weather was amazing. read more

One of the nicer, more reasonably priced KOAs I've seen. I didn't give it 5 stars because I feel it's transgressions are important. Showers close from 10 to 11 for cleaning. Seems like a weird time but we are rule followers. So we rush over at 9:20. Before we're even in the shower the cleaning ladies show up 1/2 an hour early. In my case I said I'm showering and she came in anyway. Then she barged in on my boyfriend. Then she hit me again and him again all before 10:00. I get they might want an early jump on things but come on...we're naked man! To add insult to injury. These newly remodeled lovely bathrooms are not ADA compliant. They do have grab bars, good ones. But that all, no seats, no hooks. The floors are sloped and slippery. Not at all good for a handicapped person. One of thee days they'll get sued for a slip and fall. Otherwise, this is a very nice KOA. read more

This place has so much potential but needs maintenance. It could be a good place if they would clean it up! The grounds are unkept and messy. The trees are great but most of them are in need of a trim and removing of dead branches. The bushes are great for privacy but need trimmed and cleaned up as well. Some have been trimmed but the trimmings not picked up, just left on the ground. There are sticker bushes ALL over the place which is terrible if you have pets and the stickers also get stuck in your shoes. Some of the electric pedestals have covers on the ground, a few picnic tables look like they are falling apart or are in bad shape. The trash cans for pet disposal bags are overflowing and not attended to and lots of land mines left in the dog park. Overall it just needs a good clean up! read more

My husband and I came here with our dogs in October. When you arrive, you see a bunch of red and yellow flags welcoming you in. There is plenty of space to leave your trailer as you go check in at the office. We were in site 81A. It was under tall trees that were probably full before and backs up against a field that was probably beautiful before but they just had a fire and a lot of the scenery was black. There's nothing can be done about that except give it time to recover. Our site was all rock with square tile bricks instead of a cement pad. It had a fire pit with a screen on top and a picnic table. Our fellow campers were so great. Super friendly people. There is an off-leash dog park, playground, frisbee golf, pool, volleyball court and a dedicated area for tent camping. There is only one bathroom and it is emaculate! They do have a small convenience store and there are club houses with other activities but we didn't check them out. Nearby are the Cabazon Outlets and we were able to take our dogs and walk around there. All in all we had a very pleasant and peaceful stay at this campground. read more

Traveling back to Arizona we found this KOA on Google maps. We pulled in very late, found the after hours packet and headed to our spot. We parked and headed to use the restrooms since we have a camper van. The bathrooms were locked with a key pad lock. We went back to the van and checked the paperwork looking for the bathroom code, no luck. We ended up driving back to a gas station a while back down the road to use the restroom. In the morning we found a staff member who told us the code, bathrooms were updated and clean and the same with the camping spot. Rated it higher due to the women we spoke to when checking out about the bathroom codes, She was helpful and gave a discount due to the missing codes, she told us she didn't put the bathroom code on the last check in paperwork due to homeless people coming and trashing the bathrooms ( didn't see any homeless near this place) and that she changes the code every day, which is hard to believe because she would have to notify the guests every day of the new code. Other than that part of the experience, the place looks clean and kept up. read more

Very easy site to pull through with extremely clean grounds. Very quiet place to relax, this is just what we needed. Second weekend in a row at this site. We love it here. Our site was 63. Avoid this site. Sloped so much that leveler jacks couldn't level me. Office didn't stay open until 5:00 p.m. Think manager snuck out 10 or 15 minutes early when I needed something. Double ended male adapter is needed in order to hookup to cable. Not something everyone Carrie's with them. Other then the above it was pretty much what you might expect from a KOA. read more

Beware - office closes at 5:00. Roads around park in need of repair with narrow lanes and site uneven.Very quiet - No highway noise as location is far enough away. I would never stay here again. I had a horrible experience w the reservation staff upon check in and check out. The woman was very rude and insisted we didn't have a reservation when we did. The KOA is nice in general. The tall red and yellow flags are very welcoming. We had no issues checking in. There is a nice little dog park, playground and volleyball court, decent pool, laundry facility, and a few clubhouses (that we did not get to visit due to time restrictions). With that said, we won't be coming back here unless we had no where else to go. The first night we were there, we heard a lot of gunshots, at least 7 to 9 rounds total. Immediately we didn't feel safe. It didn't sound like it was in the campground but also didn't sound too far off. The 2nd night we heard another 3 to 4 shots being fired at around 2 AM. The campground is next to a high school and some small neighborhoods to the east. So after this incident, we couldn't wait to leave but we still had three nights left that we had already paid for. Needless to say, the safety of our children comes first and this place did not make us feel safe and our little ones don't want to come back read more

Needed a spot to spend one night and didn't have many choices. Concerned after reading the reviews but we were happily surprised. The staff was really friendly. Easy access to fill our propane tank and the rate was reasonable. The camp ground, bathrooms and laundry were clean. Seemed like a safe place to stay. Not your luxury or upscale RV resort but it's good enough for away from the busy life in Southern California especially traveling along 10 freeway heading east or west. Quiet and hidden next to 243 before you go up to Idyllwild. Small resort for RVers but I suggest call and confirm if there's anything broken or not funtioning prior to arrival at the site. The water pipe that goes along the tent sites were not working due to raptured pipe so our friends were not able to use their water faucet next to their tent. Game room was ok. Pool table was old and the table tennis needs to be replaced; it wasn't functional. Staff were nice and friendly but the site needs a little update, not much of an upgrade. read more

The Banning KOA is a VERY nice quiet park. It's located next to a small mountain and some farm land. We were going to stay one night, decided to stay two. We will stay here again. It has pool, dog area, kids playground, and laundry. Nice area to walk the dogs in the morning. read more

We stayed here for a week while my husband and friend signed the books at the union hall in Riverside and waited for a callout. The folks in the office were friendly but could have been a bit more helpful. If a guy doesn't have a KOA card for a discount then sell him one! Don't just tell him he has to pay full price because he doesn't have a card...really! The site is a bit hard to find and tucked away...but next door to the local high school sports fields so the monthlies get a lot of noise from the school's P.A. system. I'm not a fan of California anyway so I don't want to judge the KOA negatively when it's really just CA in general that I don't like. We did look at at least three other campgrounds and parks nearby including Casa del sol and COA and this one is nicer by far than any of those. read more

Friendly staff. Coffee served in the morning. Odd location. Definitely just a one-night stop spot. This KOA is situated in an odd little area outside Banning, CA. My husband and I stopped here on the way to Big Bear Lake. You can find the KOA by going through the neighborhood and passing the local high school. It's slightly odd how close the KOA is to the high school, you can see the stadium lights from the campsite. Around the area is just a plain old field. But in the background are actually some very nice looking hills/mountains. In the morning it is a nice sight to look at. Overall the staff was super friendly and it was just a quick pit stop for us. read more

Teresa was a jewel. Fast friendly fun and accommodating. Bathrooms were clean and well decorated. All outdoor fun stuff was in good shape: Pool, horseshoes, play area, dog park, corn hole and more. Spots were deceptively well shaded (in a good way) and while crowded, they where well laid out. Wifi was terrible. On and off, slow and spotty coverage. Unusable. No open amenities they allow renters to use chain saw to cut a tree on my rental space. My wife and I will never go to the office when the very rude and condescending receptionist is there. Manager seems nice but raising the rent when in the middle of a health crisis when all amenities are closed doesn't seem right. With no security I have a real fear of property damages staying here another renter cut part way in to a tree branch and left it over night i found all this at 11 pm and had to leave a voicemail. Also endless motorcycle and large trucks passing at night. Already having some of the highest rates and going up I would not recommend staying here. Will say one maintenance guy there is one of the nicest and hardest working person I've met he really made my Wife and I feel welcome. read more

What a great park. I am from Hemet and needed to stay close to my brother in Banning. I knew the area was brown, hot and not very pretty. I was very surprised. The park is so easy to pull into and set up, it was after hours. Could not have been easier. The place is shady, bathrooms clean. Nice pool and great dog "off leash" little park. This place is truly a gem if traveling and need to pull last minute and get some rest. read more

We've stayed 3 nights so far and we have really enjoyed it. It's a shame that the pool and WiFi are down, but this place is so nice, it doesn't matter. Everything is clean, the employees are really nice and super helpful. Great dog park. Quiet, calming place to stay. Always washers and dryers available. read more

My husband and I just recently purchased an RV a nice one we came to the KOA there in Banning in hopes of finding a permanent residents we are quiet decent people who mind their business at first it seemed okay they requested a lot of information from us, being that I just got over a bad flu and then came down with a cold had not made the request of theirs very easy on me ,however we were able to give to them what they requested of us ,as the last bit of the paperwork was being submitted the lady at the counter said, I'm not going to charge you for a background check because I already can tell you that you're not going to be accepted here then the English lady ask how many people are going to be living in the RV ,I had already told her but only 3 people ,, I don't want to go on and on with this but I just felt I was discriminated against whatever rreason I don't know maybe because I'm not British I totally felt unwelcomed buy her , I explained to her how I felt she became a little argumentivr ,I could go on but I won't read more

This review is from the last two days July 29-31 2018! Staff is friendly that's about it. Streets in park are rough. Very few fire pits. The "clubhouse" is outdated, closes at 4:30, cobwebs from the furniture to the walls and an old pool table with pockets falling off. It was nice and cool in there though. The pool has a line above the water of black mold growing. All but one umbrellas were broken at the tables in the pool Area. No shade at all in the dog park and the sprinklers in dog park come on at 7pm and soaked us as we tried to get the dogs and get out! WiFi wouldn't work. Ants and wasps everywhere. This place for the most part can be a great place to stay, unfortunately the restrooms need attending with showers and they say they have WiFi but the code they give you doesn't work. Whoever owns this KOA needs to visit and see just how operations are going if they have then they simply don't care about their business. read more

We went in late October. Pool not heated, no matter what they say. Absolutely no amenities. Seems safe, give them that. Austere, sterile place full of rocks. Playground only place with any grass and geared to toddlers, if your kids are any older, you're out of luck. Decent stop-through place when you're driving from A to B, but absolutely no reason to hang out for more than resting before the next leg of your journey. read more

It is not worth the price. They charged $59 for a night and there were no discounts except KOA. The women at the desk was unapologetic and only stated that I was free to leave. I decided to stay and at best it was clean. That's all I can say. Just about every RV place I've stayed at has had Veteran, Good Sam, or AAA discounts. Oh and the wifi is really crappy. read more
