I haven't done anything substantial like this for years, and I have survived so far, and even love it. The staff here (married couple) are very good. Excellent technical knowledge on lifts, one is a PT and specializes in mobility also - so you can know you are in good hands. The group of people aren't filled with 21 year olds with single digit body fat percentages. There are a fair amount of brand new men and women, and some seasoned ones as well. Everyone is very friendly, and very social. It is not a huge gym ("box," if you prefer). There are a couple of things I wish they would do to improve things. I would gladly take those issues instead of a different group of people. I will try to update in a couple months.

Fuel House was just the opposite. When I walked in, the owner immediately greeted me with a big smile and put me at ease. One of the women in class came over and introduced herself, and the instructor made a point to say hello as well. Everyone was at different levels, and mistakes were not frowned upon. It was a relaxing atmosphere where you could exercise without judgment. Also, the facility was very clean and didn't have that usual gym smell. The class rates are reasonable, so you can pay per class or join as a member. I will definitely be back, if only to be around such a welcoming crowd of women. Thank you for this positive experience.

I signed up for an obstacle course class with a Yelp Eliter friend. The community and owner were…read morevery social and provided a sense of community I don't feel at most gyms. They welcomed the effort but didn't push too hard for exercising. There weren't any obstacle course elements in the class. We were allowed to stay after and ask some ninja warrior potential experts on a few techniques of the obstacles. It was nice to celebrate little victories- kind of like the non-single Matt Nathanson song of the same phrase . This place has obstacle course equipment with more of an adult look but kids are also welcome and encouraged as they probably bring most of the funding to the gym too. Outside had some equipment as well as part of the 30 min circuit training. Some people might not like the younger kids or the dogs that were around. The kids around were in line and well behaved and one of the dogs seemed jealous of not enough attention and started to get in my way of my running path. It was a bit comical for me. Oh a temporary break lol. Some of the staff keep the place well cleaned and maintained. This was probably a 4 star experience for me but the community element here helps me bump it to a 5

My son decided he wanted to do a backflip on the trampolines and asked one of the trainers, Alex, if he would help him. He spent a long time with him to teach him how to do it and was very patient and encouraging. It was a great experience for my son & we can't wait to come back.
