I went to this school for my 6th and 7th year and I got bullied harassed and nothing good has happened to me at this school the students vape and do drugs and are also sluts I recommend going anywhere else but Morrill the athletic teams aren't that good either going to this school made me suicidal please choose a different school for you're kids I highly recommend the food was kinda good though but the teacher not so much they were mean to me for doing nothing also there's always fights happening and I almost got involved please if you're kid is going to this school be aware you can't trust anybody there read more

This review is for some of the students behavior and demeanor. One of the students in this school stole my child's yearbook in the locker room during PE - we preordered ours since the beginning of the year. We notified the office about the incident and there was nothing they could really do but advised us to buy again on whatever leftover yearbooks that they had which were only 10 copies. My child properly lined up to buy a copy when a group of 8th graders came and cut off all the students who waited patiently. One girl even ended up buying 5. They should've limit 1 copy per student. And whoever teacher was in charge at that yearbook sale should've kept an eye on the line. Such a disorganization and disappointment! Also, this school have kids bullying and intimidating other kids. Parents please choose caution when picking this school for your child/children. I almost wanted to believe that the students of this school improved till this incident happened to us. read more

Nice enough school. My wife and I are both teachers and parents, so maybe we have an eye for things. Pros: All of the teachers I've encountered so far have been nice. Attended parent night and was impressed. I like the clubs, particularly the non-sports related ones. Cons: Not a fan of the short interval between classes - needs another minute or two. During parent night, the principal absolutely wouldn't stop talking over the loud speaker. A little confused as to why the early days differ so much. Make it a certain day of the week and not variable - I don't like checking a calendar to know when my son is getting out. I do like the school overall; just a couple things I'd change. read more

This school getting way better, since they have the new principal. Beautiful school and the teachers are very friendly.

Terrible place to take your kids there to play basketball on the court or the YMCA there. Young kids smoke weed out there on the concrete playground and I called the school and nothing been done about it. The principle lady was one rude person. read more

I graduated from here back in '99. the uniforms were not a bad idea for me. i LOVE the fact that i did not have to choose a matching outfit every day. all i had to do was put on some black bottoms and a white top. my mother was happy because she did not have to worry about the lastest trends or my brother and i nagging for "GAP" sweaters, anoraks, etc... :) those were the daYs. *sigh* since then the renovations are much better than what it used to be. they finally got rid of that nasty swamp by the orchestra/science class. i come here for the youth soccer games and the field has not changed one bit. i dread the running the miles in the mushy field. read more

Great place to host a basketball game. When I drove in the parking lot, I saw a well dressed man talking to some students. As they were involved in their conversation I drove up to them and ask, where was the Gym? They all responded and said right hereto cute. I was impressed by this same well dressed guy hops on a skateboard and was doing trick with the students. Overall I was very impress with student a faculty involvement. The reason I was there because my daughter was versing their JR High basketball even though we Won this game the experience was Real nice and I can not wait to attend another game there. read more

The Principles here think its ok to have STUDENTS risk their safety by having them basically go "Under cover", make friends with kids they THINK are up to no good, and have their little spy kids coming back making reports. Now you tell me why its ok for kids to 1.) Compromise their safety. and 2.) Be little undercover agents while they are supposed to be LEARNING. Their main focus should be their school work, not being involved in drama that is gonna most likely follow them and affect them, through the school year(s). A report has already been made about this but spreading the word about this is just as important. So please feel free to do so ! read more

Going into Piedmont Hills I was probably the only one of my current group of friends (besides my friend George) who had common dress during middle school. You couldn't and still can't wear any other colors besides black, white, or grey, when I was attending you couldn't wear two-tone clothing (ie. black pants with white stripes) and you couldn't wear anything with logos. However, on certain days you did get to wear jeans or khakis. I never wore jeans or khakis. I'm kind of angry too since when my brother and cousins went here they didn't have to wear this crap clothing. Then again that was back in the stone age. Anyways I can't really say I remember much of my time here except for 8th grade. The 8th grade, a time in which my class were finally the big dogs of the school. My homeroom teacher and math teacher was Mrs. Fuqua and being pre-teens - teens you can get we all got a good laugh out of her name. For science I had Mr. Nellis, a teacher who never seemed to button the second to last button of his shirt which was pretty disturbing because you could see his stomach. I had some crazy pantomine class as an elective for my first semester there with Ms. Wagner. I had PE with Mr. Wilkinson which was cool. I had English with Ms. Hagel who was a Canadian ice-queen but easy on the eyes. And I lastly I had history with Mr. Jones which was a fun class. In Mr. Jones' class I got to meet my friend Hilda...who I would never meet again after middle school except via the internet. The best class in the world was probably during my second semester when I got PE aid as an elective. Often times my friend Steve and I would be able to get out of PE class because the teachers would need us to build a ping pong table or something. We timed our construction well enough so that we could avoid something like running the mile. We planted...beans I think for Mr. Nellis' class. Beans we would never see again unless we came back during the Summer or something. Scerw that. Something from the SEVENTH grade that I remembered was Home Economics. Feminine girly class or a class that would teach you useful things in the future like how to bake cakes? Good times. I'm sure I had more fun here it's just that I can't remember much of anything. read more

Ahhh...my son's last year at Morrill finally. Gone are the days of black, white and gray clothing! There are a few good teachers here who take an active interest in getting the best out of the kids, very few unfortunately. The administration isn't much better at keeping peace and safety a priority for the kids. But then again it's a really big job these days. read more

It's so much better now. There is a new principal and the dress code has been lifted except for gang colors. I totally love it, is way better than it used to be. It has an atmosphere like other middle schools. I'm a big fan. read more

The dress code reminds me of a correctional facility instead of a school. Not a fan of drab.....If they want to eliminate all colors, just eliminate gang colors. Oh God, three years of this, not sure. Black reminds me of death...Don't like it. read more

i'm proud to say i came from Morrill Middle School. although everyone were mostly asian, i still keep in contact with old buddies. as far as education.. ehh same ol' same ol'. it was fun to have an experience for having 2 lunches and 6 periods. one lunch hour for the youngin's and the other lunch for the 8th graders. chimichanga's, tacos, burritos were a hit during our lines at the food bar. there were a few field trips and we had black and white uniforms during my year, class of 2002! the only part i hated during middle school was that mile run we had to do around the school..boo!!!! i havent visited for many years, i should sometime soon! read more
