When we got home, Mr. Wilson remained lethargic & refusing to eat/drink. I called Five Mile Animal Hospital and they got me in right away. Dr. Mila & his staff were so kind & compassionate. I was seen right away, prices were good and did not push for unnecessary testing. I am Thankful to have such a compassionate veterinarian within miles of my home.

They get down on your level, find out what's really going on, and then work with your family to find a good solution together. My dog suffered horrible allergies, and we nearly lost him, but they found the answers and a treatment. With care, he has lived a mostly normal life. My cat has a heart condition and was witheringly underweight. They've worked with him, taught us to administer his hydration at home because he doesn't travel well, and worked to increase his weight so they can safely continue his life-sustaining care. They caretake all our animals now, and we would not have it any other way.

I guess I should have moved on when my dog was neutered and a few days later he was bleeding and had to go to emergency because he was nicked during the procedure. I did seek compensation, but we agreed on 6 month of flea and tick meds. So and the trio flea and tick meds they prescribed had warning about seizures. My dog has seizures. He was being treated for seizures . I am still getting calls about filing this med that can cause seizures in my dog who has seizures .... I had mentioned my pup maybe having allergies and I got a big no. Now going to my new vet my dog was diagnosed with allergies and even had a bacterial skin infection from allergies not being treated. (Mad) New vet cleaned my dogs teeth today and found that Sheehy left some roots from when they removed some teeth and missed 2 teeth that didn't grow that were below his gums that can cause cysts. I am giving 2 stars because Dr Brad is a very nice man, but one of the things he tried to do for my dogs seizures the other Dr never heard of and it didn't work :(

I noticed a strange lump on my dog Lola's lower gum in June 2024 and took her to my local vet only…read moreto be told it was nothing and to ignore it. Well, it was impossible to ignore as it doubled in size over the course of a week. I called my local vet, yet again, and ultimately took Lola in again, this time for a procedure to surgically remove the mass and have it biopsied. The mass was removed but, by the time the biopsy results came back as "benign", the mass had already returned. By the time the local vet was able to see Lola again the mass had doubled in size (yet again) and the vet advised the growth was invading the bone and that Lola needed to see a vet who specialized in oral surgery.. My local vet gave me two referrals for veterinary oral surgeons and said "there aren't many in the state". I contacted both referrals and was told that they were booking out into the beginning of 2025. At the rate the mass was growing my dog wouldn't have a face anymore by the beginning of 2025. Luckily for me/Lola, one of the referrals that couldn't make time to see Lola suggested that I try contacting Dr Kavenaugh at Strong. When I contacted Strong Village Veterinary Center I was told the same thing everyplace else was saying (booking out to beginning of 2025). I explained everything I had tried up to that point and pled with them to help my dog. I was told by the kind person I was speaking to that they would discuss Lola's case with their dental team and someone would get back to me. I thanked them and hung up honestly believing that I wouldn't hear back. I was desperate to get my dog help but losing hope. To my surprise, not only did Strong call me back, they did so within 48hrs and were offering an appointment for an evaluation and possible same day surgery for Lola that same week. It was the answer to my prayers! So, I took Lola in, as scheduled, not optimistic about what I would be told. After Dr Hoane evaluated Lola she advised that basically, to eradicate this growth, she would have to remove the tip of Lola's lower jaw (the lower front canines and everything in between). Dr Hoane advised as to the worst case and best case scenario and offered to do the procedure that morning! So, ever so nervously, I left my fur baby in their hands. It was an anxious couple of hours but I did receive occasional text updates informing me where Lola was at in the process and assuring me that she was doing well. When I picked her up to take her home later that evening, I felt slightly optimistic for Lola's prognosis for the first time since this all started. It took Lola about 6 weeks before she started trying to use her mouth for anything more than eating and drinking. 5 months later, now, and you wouldn't even know she was missing part of her lower jaw just by looking at her. Dr Hoane is a true artist! The way that she reconstructed Lola's lower jaw amazes me! I thought Lola wouldn't be able to do so many things and that she would look pathetic with a deformed lower jaw. I was so wrong. Lola is cuter than and more fierce and fun than ever! I can't say enough good things about this practice!! The people working here are honest, fair, accountable and talented. I wouldn't hesitate to utilize them again in the future and would send anyone seeking top of the line veterinary care their way.

A compassionate team that is very helpful with the scheduling on the phone. Never rushed me through anything. Dr. Mitchell arrived within the scheduled time frame, and was absolutely wonderful. Explains every step of the procedure and allows questions. Our baby was at home, in her favorite place to be - our back yard - listening to the birds and enjoying the sunshine. Dr, Mitchell also allowed us to see the diabolical cancerous tumor, under baby's tongue, after the procedure. This solidified that we did what was right by kitty, and not allowing her to suffer any further. No cold tables and blank walls for your pet's final breath. Kitty went peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family. What a great service!
