this firm was asked to file a post judgement spousal support modification with sanctions for non disclosure of income of spouse and it took them 5 months to file my case then it took them 3 times to submit my paperwork to the court. They failed at serving Xspose. so I had to. when they filed RFO it was missing the important documents that the court requires. In my option they were grssly neglectful and incompetent with post judgement spousal support modifications. The attorney said to me this is going to cost you some money. I felt bullied. read more

Charles Morris Jr was hired to help with a child custody case but he didn't fight fo me at all. He was always trying to find a way to compromise and he did not want to work for me. My ex had violated the court order by keeping my child from me. And I wanted to force her to comply with the already in place order. His first suggestion was mediation even though we had already done it. He said " you don't want to adopt a scorched earth" policy, do you? He was no help. But it cost me a lot of money. read more

I'm left with no choice but to leave a bad review for Charles Morris the 3rd. He was a terrible lawyer... in regards to my child custody case. I understand that most lawyers say they can't guarantee any specific outcomes but at least the lawyers should be upfront with potential clients from the beginning. Charles mentioned he would try for full legal custody but did not make any sort of attempt in front of the judge.. Prior to going to court with Charles I had a 50/50 court schedule that my ex refused to follow and showed evidence of carelessness towards our daughter. $3600 later I was just given a different 50/50 child visitation schedule with my daughter and no holiday schedule. CM3 is unprofessional and had poor client communication while retained.. His office stated he was on vacation after retaining him as my lawyer and won't be back until 3 days prior to my court date and even after asking the office to speak with him I never got a call back from CM3. I asked over the phone multiple times prior to court what will be mentioned to the judge in court and he said everything in my paperwork will be asked in my court.. but he did not follow through.. Also, I got charged for emails even though I didn't get a response to my questions....Very frustrating There was even one instance when he asked the office to schedule a phone conference and then when I called at the scheduled time the office wouldn't pick up the phone...and didn't speak to the lawyer for days later.. I needed an atty to re-write my custody arrangement with my ex wife. She moved and refused to address the situation so I had to. I knew Mr. Morris was my guy 3 seconds into our initial consultation. He is smart, confident and just the right amount of cocky that I wanted to see in my attorney. The paperwork was all handled correctly and when I had to go to court he was like a rock star. He was chatting it up with the bailiff, walked around the courtroom like he owned it and had great rapport with the judge. My case was easy but just knowing that he was there and knew what he was doing made me feel like the situation was under complete control. He was recommended to me by someone else. While this was not my first divorce it was clearly the most involved as it relates to long term support, attorney fees for opposing council and division of assets. The divorce process is an emotional one and can be quite expensive, especially involving long term marriages. Charles was extremely patient and companionate despite my relatively impatient and agressive personality. His knowledge is extensive, and as a result I believe he guided me to the best possible financial outcome while following the guidelines for the county and state. He was very fair with the charges and went well above and beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion. Let me start off with the staff at this firm; they are really good, organized and nice. My first attorney at this firm retired and when it switched to Charles Morris, who runs the place, he was what I expected in an attorney. Are there other decent attorneys that can do a great job for far much less, absolutely. But with this firm you are paying a bit of a premium to get the desired results. read more

DON'T WALK--RUN!! I hired this attorney to help me with my divorce. My ex filed false charges against me and the judge wouldn't let me see my child. All I asked for was normal reasonable non-custodial visitation (a couple weekends per month). This guy took thousands of dollars from me and I didn't hear from him again for months. For months! He refused to return my phone calls and letters. Time dragged on and I was not able to see my daughter. Finally, after more than a year, he gets off his duff to get a court hearing and guess what...still couldn't see my child. He admitted in court that he hadn't even contacted opposing counsel or even my ex. Wow....I was speechless. So I immediately fired him and guess what...just 3 months later, I was able to get reasonable visitation, completely on my own without counsel. Too bad I wasted a year and thousands of dollars with this lousy attorney. I feel sorry for the other guy who posted here who wasted even more time and money with this "law firm". read more
