I am civil-litigation lawyer, and another family-law lawyer referred me to Bill Blasser (Blasser) and Blasser Law. It was a good referral, and I am grateful to that family-law lawyer for the referral. Now I am attempting to refer other people in need to Blasser Law. Blasser represented me in a dissolution action that was successfully settled. My wife hired two different law firms and ended up firing them both. Her firms did nothing but charge her large amounts of money and file frivolous pleadings and requests for orders. All of the advice Blasser gave me along the way turned out to be absolutely correct. He is an experienced and well-known attorney in the family-law courts. The judges know him and like him. He was able to handle my case without me worrying about it. When I needed to reach him, he was responsive. I found the quality of his legal work, writing, and research to be well above average. In fact Thomas even got my ex less time and I was granted a year of backpay in child support in addition to everything I wanted after mediation. He argues so well and knows the law better than any of those other basic attorneys that the last time we went to court he did so well that people were going up to Thomas asking for a business card to retain him! I was charged for hours that were not spent working on my case and I had serious concerns about the accuracy of the billing. Additionally, there's proof he spoke negatively about me to opposing counsel, which is completely unprofessional and inappropriate. There are also serious allegations and reports involving this attorney that prospective clients should be aware of. Do your own research and review the public record before hiring him. I wish I had done more research beforehand. Divorce is already an incredibly stressful and vulnerable process. You need an attorney you can trust, who communicates honestly, bills transparently and advocates for you...not someone who treats you like Matthew. Back in 2007, I needed a criminal defense attorney for my DUI case to defend my rights to due process and a fair trial--especially after what I had already been through--but instead, all I got was snark and verbal attack from you. Besides humiliating me during your consultation, you had also joked about one of your clients who lived in Big Bear (which was where my incident occurred). You joked about how much money he had to spend every time you had to drive all the way up there to represent him in court for his DUI.
