Stopped by on a day trip to Salmon Arm. Our delightful server was friendly and helpful. I had a veggie Swiss burger with onion rings and a spicy pineapple margarita. The onion rings were crispy and delicious. The margarita was both beautiful and well balanced. Decor was fun. We would definitely stop by again!

I had a great experience at the Barley Station. When I first went there, I had the Bavarian Schnitzel with steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. Everything was delicious, even the vegetables. I was even obliged to buy a 6-pack of their Bushwacker Brown Ale. I also had their South African-Spiced Sausage that I also found piquant. Judging from the menu, they change up their lunch and dinner choices every once in a while, which I like from a restaurant. I definitely recommend the Barley Station to eat at.

This place was hopping when we went in, and also celebrating Oktoberfest, which was fun. They are part of the BC craft brew tour. They had a special menu for the season from which I ordered the Black Forest Cake and my friend ordered the schnitzel, which was amazing. I should have already known I don't actually like Black Forest Cake that much - it was kind of bland but that's not the fault of the restaurant; it's just the way I've always found it. I ordered the lamb gyro, which was delicious. I also ordered one of their craft brews (Shuswap Lake Brewing Co) and it was the best light craft brew I've ever had. I'm not a beer person so just having a nice light beer without too much spice might not mean much to some but was great for me. Service was fast and friendly.

It's wonderful to find a GF-friendly eatery on a road trip. When the fare is excellent, so much the better! Lots of GF (referred to as gluten wise as it's not a dedicated GF establishment) options on a separate menu. I had the Chicken Guacamole burger on a toasted GF bun. It was really outstanding! Side salad with a unique vinaigrette made from locally grown haskap berries was delicious and healthy. If you come out this way, worth a stop!

Randomly stumbled into this restaurant for lunch as we went through Salmon Arm. The pub has a huge dining room inside and a big bar. There were also lots of tv screens, would be good for watching sports. We ordered the calamari and steak. The food was solid, and flavours on point. Overall a good place for drinks and a night out.

Mexican Street salad was good. Salad was tasty & fresh. Barley Burger was good as well. Took as takeout survived transport well.

Great table service, our server was very friendly. Kitchen was backed up ( slow). Food was delicious.

The Nineteen05 is located on the lakefront in one of the nicest hotel in the area. The decor of the place is a reminder of classy days past with big windows overlooking the marshlands before the lake. It's clean and bright, although the AC vents on the ceiling could certainly use a good clean as could the ceiling itself in those areas. It's one of my huge pet peeves as that air comes straight down onto the guests. The service was quite attentive, maybe a little more than it needed to be when we were quite clear we were in no rush at all. The martinis were quite good in spite of the amount of Vermouth in them. K ordered the rack of lamb, that didn't come as a rack and was warmish, as were the steamed vegetables. My 24 hour beef brisket tagliatelle as did my male counterpart. The pasta was well cooked, but I struggled to find much brisket at all in the dish. The vegetables in it just didn't seem to fit. The best meal visually and taste wise was the seafood salad that boasted plenty of seafood and a nice selection of salad. The experience itself was good, but the food let the dinner down as did a ceiling (around the AC vents) that had me glad we weren't sitting underneath is.

We came…read morein after a long day at a nearby hockey tournament so it was definitely a full house, but based on rave reviews we were expecting much more than what we received. The ambiance was chill and the booths were roomy and comfortable but sadly that was probably the highlight of the meal. The server was ok but not overly friendly or attentive by any means. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, a pulled pork "bowl" and a small pizza. Nothing too crazy or over the top so we figured it was pretty simple and would be relatively fast. To our surprise it took a solid 40 minutes. We figured that one of the dishes may have taken a bit longer so we stayed patient, but when the food was served it was lukewarm nearing cold. The food was nothing special but maybe could have gotten another star had it been served hot. Sadly disappointed to be quite honest, the best part of the actual meal itself was the side of French fries that accompanied the pulled pork sandwich. Sadly, the menu prices definitely did not match the quality of food or rave reviews.

We were seated right away by a friendly host and our server who was super helpful throughout our visit. While we dined, the place got much busier and had a nice buzz to it. It had a distinct theme inside that aligns with its name and its selection of flagship brews. As I mentioned, we were hungry after a long drive so we obviously over ordered. We started with the Triple Threat Pull Apart Bread and the Crispy Pickles. Both were amazing! The bread was so soft and delicious and the pickles were savoury, but also spicy! Be warned! My partner ordered the Stuffed Yorkies because they weren't something we'd seen on a menu before. He loved them! The dish was three Yorkshire puddings stuffed full so it was also HUGE. I got the Flagship Mac and, honestly, for a place with multiple macs on the menu, it was remarkably unremarkable, unfortunately. Don't be discouraged, though! The quality of the rest of the food was so high that it made up for that tiny miss. If you're in Kamloops, check out The Noble Pig. They also have a great patio!
