    Udon noodles.

The food was alright, I got the udon noodles. The service and atmosphere was great and the food came quick, but for the price, the food wasn't quite worth it. Overall, the place is fine if you want a quick sit down mid ski lunch, but it wouldn't be my first choice and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

A typical apres ski crowd at Masa's.

Masa's is located at the base on Sun Peaks. On a sunny afternoon, it's a great location for après ski. It's also family friendly- offering a good kids menu of standard fare including fish and chips, grilled cheese and hot dogs. The highlight for us was the extensive list of beers on tap. After a day on the slopes, it was nice to sit and enjoy snacks and beers. Poutine was made with thick cut fries and a generous amount of gravy, yum! Service was friendly but slow even though the establishment wasn't very busy. Given the options, I would recommend this pub, especially if you can get a window seat like we did.

    Fried calamari with tzatziki sauce

Masa's is a decent bar and grill--we stopped in for a late lunch after skiing all morning. Our server was terrific; drinks and food good. I had calamari which was lightly battered and fried to perfection, but was incongruously paired with a pasty tzatziki sauce. I ended up finishing the crispy morsels with catsup. A sweet-chili sauce would be ideal for this dish, in my opinion. Anyway, this is a fairly spacious establishment that even promises live music on occasion. Pretty fun!

Rotten place. Watered down double. And no name ketchup.

Not even one star if I could. Awful. Terrible service, terrible cocktails (watered down), awful food - I wouldn't feed to my dog. Ordered the pork bun - microwaved for sure, and the fried cod - looked like it was fried all night, unbeatable and stunk. Ended up paying the full bill for something I didn't even eat. The olives and asparagus in the Caesar were moulded. 2 drinks and 2 appys $45!! Outrageous. Stay clear of this place. We had a wonderful time at sun peaks but I hope they shut this dump down!

Consistently going down hill. Poor service and the food isn't helping this place to gain stars. I have been coming here for three years and I think today's visit will be my last. Prices are up from last year as well. I am going to head up the hill to cahilty creek next time. It's sad because it's a great location and roomy inside.

A lot of reviews here seem out-dated. Nothing wrong w this place. Food was good and so was the service.

2 for 1 appetizers are a good deal. Good service, friendly staff, but mediocre food and prices.

We found the food overall very average, including the Christmas dinner special menu. So much so, when we booked the hotel this year over Christmas, we made a point to make reservations at other nearby establishments. For unforeseen circumstances, some of our plans didn't go exactly as planned, so Mantles reluctantly was our best option. And, wow, what a surprise 12 months makes! The food was excellent! During our stay, we've had the Roasted Chicken, Oso Bucco, and the very generous Charcuterie Platter. All were magnificently prepared and delicious. Compliments to the kitchen team and chef. Keep up the great work! If you're like us and have been underwhelmed in the past with Mantles, I highly encourage you to give them another try. Well worth it.

We got seated at the lounge, which is less formal. We got the short ribs, salmon and a kids pizza. Short ribs were fantastic, melt off the bone tender and delicious, too many accompanying veggies for my taste, but very good. Salmon was also very good. The lowlight was the pizza, the very sweet tomato sauce ruined it all. Crust was decent. Service was kind and fast.

I guessed either this place was good or there ain't much options in Salmon Arm. Why two stars? The food was not that good and the tables were quite tight. People kept bumping my chair when they walked behind me. Not sure why they could not walk on the other side of our table which didn't have anyone sitting there. It was quite annoying. The service could also be better. Our water glasses were not topped up unless we flagged down our server. I had the halibut burger which sounded amazing in the description. Poached in white wine and served with lime aioli. Unfortunately the fish was on the dry side and I barely discerned any wine at all. The saving grace was the yam fries which I upgraded for 1/2 Caesar salad and 1/2 yam fries at $3 more. Those were good. Very small portion of the Caesar salad though. My travel partner didn't like the fried chicken burger at all. The chicken was hard and dry. The server gave extra chipotle Mayo sauce but it didn't help much. Popeyes chicken burger was way better. Overall this was quite a disappointing meal. Maybe people come here for the beer only.
