The entire staff is highly experienced, dedicated and passionate about dance. Every person who walks through the door is valued, respected and seen. I have decades of dance classes behind me and I have never loved dance so much as since I found this studio. They don't teach only to the best students and leave the rest in the dust, as has been my experience in other studios. They support, respect and uplift every single dancer. The curriculum they teach is consistent among all the instructors and is very thorough. My primary instructor is Ellias and he's a Jedi Master, I swear. I learn soooo much every lesson and have a blast doing it. You have the opportunity to work with all of the instructors and practice with them. They are all so generous with their knowledge. Kindness is the culture. No snobby attitude here! People of every age, background, ability, physicality, all levels, get 100%, no dancer left behind. It is so inspiring to watch some of the people who have worked to become Incredible, competitive dancers and know they started out just like you or I did. I don't aspire to compete, just to enjoy some hot Latin social dancing, but it is fun to watch Dancing with the Stars in real life.. I am happily hooked and am here for group classes and group practice parties in addition to my private lessons many times a week. You can take reformer, mat or self-led classes. I've taken 4 mat classes so far, each being different for a varied experience. I've left each one feeling amazing. They offer 4 and 8 class memberships and drop in classes. They also offer student discount memberships. I highly recommend.

I think it's $17 for the average class, but they also offer $6 community classes that fill up so get there early! They also offer all of their classes by live stream for a lower cost if you prefer to practice at home! (They also offer membership and class pass options; I'm thinking of getting a class pack since it's a considerable savings!) I've only taken a class with one instructor so far (Billy J.), but I've loved his class so much, I'd love to try more instructors and more classes in the future. (I highly recommend Billy's hatha class; he and the class are approachable but the class is challenging and fun!) The building can be hard to find the first time but it's become part of why I love Yoga Union. It's in a small building tucked behind the light rail track and the new brewery in Woodberry. The only strange thing is that you have to cross the tracks to get to it. Pay attention to your GPS the first time, and you'll be fine! The building is pretty old - and it's sort of hot yoga by default (it warms up fast) - but not crazy hot or intentionally hot. You can hear the light rail trains go by which I find weirdly calming, too! The studio is just one room, with a check in area and a bathroom. The check in staff are very friendly. The classes I've taken have not been very crowded (unless a community class), and there has been room to spread out. It's easy to book and pay for classes online, too! I've enjoyed my experiences at Yoga Union, and I plan to keep practicing here regularly! Check it out!

If this is your first time, like they said, make sure to give yourself 15-minutes so you can find the space and navigate the studio. It isn't too hard to find it but I can imagine if you're in a rush how that can be confusing. The space itself is so clean and beautiful, it makes you want to exercise. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by someone who checks you in and everyone is so kind and helpful! They have lockers at this location in addition to a bathroom. I bought a lot of class credits during their Black Friday sale but once that is used up, I plan on investing in a membership!
