This place does quite a bit of morning business with coffee and breakfast items and they have numerous seating options sitting directly outside their door. They consider themselves the best grab and go place around. They do have a limited craft beer selection along with a decent wine selection that sits and 10% to 20% higher retail than your average H-E-B. They also offer catering, but they do NOT have a public bathroom in case you're wondering. If you live downtown, this is a place you'll probably visit. Informative photos below to help you.

Ok now that is out of the way. Review time: I really love this location so much. The store is huge with wide aisles making it easy to navigate compared to the smaller stores. Even if it's crazy busy on a Sunday afternoon you can still get to the items you need with ease. The store is still very clean and of course modern since the rebuild. Employees are friendly. The shelves are stocked fully 99.999% of the time. I live extremely close to the East 7th Street store (5 min away) and opt for this location time and time again.

On the escalater, there is one side for you and the other side for your trolly of groceries. I have abandoned my neighborhood HEB and now patronize this one at 2400 S. Congress Ave.

I suppose it took up too much space on the shelf. This is the alternative to Royal Blue, which has even higher prices, although Royal Blue makes some food in-house. Honestly unremarkable. An independent convenience store that knows it can charge more because of where it is. The staff were friendly enough, but the stock was kind of limited. That might be due to so many people being in town that week but they seemed to run out of drinks fairly quickly. It's also no fault of the store but it's worth mentioning right in front of their doors seems to be a popular hangout for Austin's homeless. I don't think we managed a single visit here without being asked for change. If you need a quick snack they are in a great location, just don't expect an overly pleasant visit.

As for the green salsa, I have yet to try, but I am sure it won't disappoint. I do want to give this place praise because I have passed it up before, but it is not a place to be looked over. There's so many other goodies in here that you won't find at a regular grocery store so it's definitely worth coming inside and checking out especially if you just want something to do. The people were so nice exceptional customer service. There is seating if you want to eat inside and they were playing good music. I almost forgot to mention how exceptional the sides were. Often times people mess up nopales, but these were delicious.

Mosaic Market is a sweet mecca of convenience that is exactly what every community needs. Our family enjoys the perks of having everything from fresh/ organic happenings, to party provisions, to our favorite beverage (the wine and beer selection is awesome) to household essentials. Nav has everything within a New York second from our luxury apartment home. I love tumbling out with friends and family to this hip spot and so proud to support everything essential to making The Mueller community a place where everyone feels a part of the heartbeat. Mosaic market is the best! I live nearby and I've become a regular. Nev runs a tight ship, cares about his customers, and works hard to stock great stuff. On one occasion, I asked about some specialty pretzels that I couldn't find anywhere else, and he went out and stocked them that same day. The small things make a big difference. It's a little expensive sometimes compared to a chain store like 7-11, but the products are way better, so I don't mind. Ultimately, as an entrepreneur myself, I love supporting great businesses since I know how difficult it is to build one, and I'd definitely recommend mosaic market to anyone. read more

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Mosaic Market has remained stocked of essential items and as taken necessary precautions to keep it's costumers safe and healthy. It's worth mentioning this location might be closing in the next year or two because of city mobility projects, which is a real loss for this part of town. It was pretty disgusting and ended up passing through my system pretty quickly. We also grabbed a hot chicken sandwich. Because they wrap their sandwiches in paper lined foil, the latter one was soggy. It pales in comparison to chicken sandwiches at Popeyes or Chick-fil-A. However, we did spot flan from a local producer we enjoyed from one of the farmers markets, so not all was lost. Parking is plentiful. If you want to eat here, there is an eating area near the entrance. In that area, they have paintings from local artists. The bathrooms are reasonably clean. I would need to return again to assess whether or not to include the grocery portion of the store as a grocery shopping option. So far the prepared foods are a no-go.

And since we were eating next door, I just assumed we would be able to use the restroom at the market, but you know what they say about assumptions, right? The restroom was a no-go and when I asked if there was a place nearby to use the restroom since we were eating at the picnic tables for Feral, the guy just reiterated that I could not use THEIR restroom, which I get...fine. So, I asked again if there was a place nearby that food truck customers could go and he just said the same. Back to the matter at hand, the beers we did select were not as cold as they should be and the place was not the cleanest.
