Dr. Yelana Barsky removed my in-grown toenails. I healed after about 6 months. It does take a bit of time for your toenails to grow out and heal. I wish I had had done this surgery 30 years ago. I had Plantar Fasciitis on my right heel which was extremely painful. It felt like there were glass shards or nails digging into my heels. Dr. Yelana Barsky made 2 sets of orthotics for me. I used 1 pair for a couple of months without having any problems. After a while, the pain with the Plantar Fasciitis was so bad in my heel and in the sides of my foot, that the orthotics did not work as well any more. Dr. Yelana Barsky informed me of other treatments she could do for me. I decided to try Electro-Shock Therapy. Dr. Yelana Barsky performed 3 treatments. It started to improve after 6 weeks. Now after 5 months time, I typically don't have any more pain in my left heel. Dr. Yelana Barsky takes all the time you need to discuss your foot issues. She guides you through this process and is very patient. She is very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. I would give her practice a 5 star review. Her support staff are wonderful too. I wanted to write a review a while ago but it's not easy talking about your issues openly with…read morestrangers. This treatment was the only thing that has ever helped me. Years passed I tried all sorts of anti-depressants, some helped a bit for a short period, some made it worse. I grew up in violence, drugs and verbal abuse, this led to PTSD, Depression and Anxiety. The treatment worked, yes it cost more but the results are worth it. I did use my credit card and wish the insurance would see this as a treatment just as much as the anti-depressants they easily cover. I can't speak for some as I seen Anna had a loved one who relapsed or didn't take the treatments seriously. As for me this treatment stopped me from drinking, self medicating and fixed the problem in which was causing me to binge or run from my problems in the first place. The experience for me was about learning, growing and turning a new leaf. If you're going here not to change or not look for solutions, I find that it will be hard for anything to truly help you. You must work on yourself as well as use Medical treatment if you feel you need extra help. This doesn't mean refuse Counseling, outreach programs or whatever may help you with your recovery, whatever that maybe. As for the staff, they are wonderful and make you feel comfortable every step of the way. The whole place gives you the feeling that they are there to help you, offered Counselors if needed and Dr Patel is very thorough with his patients, talks you through the whole process and what to expect etc. Being honest is key to the success of this treatment and I can find no better place to go to than Midwest Ketamine Center. We are planning on moving out of state and I don't think I will be able to change clinics because of trust, I most likely will fly in for my 3-4 month Boosters I hope this review helped. Ketamine has had a dramatic impact on my life and the early results show it's much more successful than anti-depressants being used. Whatever helps you on your path to self healing is a positive. Just remember that this is not for everyone and the success rate is very high, 50% - 70% is nothing scuff at. I suggest that you always do your research before you choose any treatment. I didn't fully commit to this until almost a year of debating whether or not to do so. However in my case I wish I would have done it sooner but the truth is, not everyone is me. Bathrooms are always locked and require staff to open. There are prison style beds and prison style toilets. Patients are required to eat in the same spot for each meal. There is no access to the outside unless on a patient "walk" accompanied by staff. Everything is closely monitored including conversations with other patients. This is not a facility for individuals with addiction or alcoholism. This is a psychiatric facility for people that have bi-polar, suicidal ideations, etc. Go elsewhere.
