I don't understand the negative reviews - Our experiences with two kids and over five years have…read morealways been decent to great. The office staff seems to be in the upper 1/3 of what I've seen in medical practices- they're all generally nice and they follow through on commitments / get doctors to call back / send forms, etc. The doctors are all pretty good - they encourage rotating docs when you first start so you get to know everyone and then they treat as a practice, not as an individual doctor with their set of patients. As a result, it's a lot easier to get appointments and speak with a doctor. There is one doctor we don't really click with but the rest more than make up for that. The practice does little things that matter - from having extra time for call in hours to producing general OTC drug dosing references for kids that do a better job than label directions at matching dose to weight, etc, this practice is better than others we looked at. In contrast to other reviews, I can't remember me or my wife ever waiting more than a few minutes for a room or to be seen by a doctor once we were in a room -- over five years with two frequently sick kids. Lastly, they've been with us through some tough early years and we felt supported the whole way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice.

Let me tell you my story. I was researching and trying to find better pediatrician for my son who…read morewas diagnosed with autism. His current pediatrician office is incompetent in the matter and I saw good reviews about Bedrose Pediatrics so I decided to call and check if my sons insurance is accepted. When I called and explained the situation I was rudely stopped with a question what insurance do we have, I explained what kind of insurance we had. Lady confirmed that they accept our insurance however before proceeding with registering and scheduling appointment they need all his records transferred from previous pediatrics and that it can take up to 2-3 weeks. I did request it and waited almost a month. Now I called again and was asked about insurance type my son has I explained everything and was told that they will register him first and than check if they received the records. Upon checking I was asked about insurance he has and when person heard it is PPO she was very enthusiastic about it. Than I was asked if patient has secondary insurance, And yes he does have medicaid but only through state not through insurance company and person was confused, She asked someone about it and than told me they cannot accept my son as he has medicaid as their panel is full. The tone changed immediately on words : Medicaid. So basically I lost a month on this pediatric office just to tell me after a month that they cannot accept my son as he has Medicaid as secondary insurance. But no one asked me that first time. So if you child has medicaid this people will not accept it plus they will speak with you differently. I can tell this office is all about money only, not the kids and their health. Please, Bedrose Pediatrics, teach your stuff to ask this question first time in a row. Thanks to you guys we lost a month and now late with annual check up. As a result my son is left without a doctor and I will have to start looking for different one. I guess if your child has medicaid or all kids , even if it is secondary and even if you child is with special needs this state does not care, doctors of Illinois do not care they will not accept you. Maybe this office has good doctors but their front desk is letting them down with such behavior.

This was one of the worst medical experiences of my life. The only positive part of this practice…read moreis the nurse practitioner, who is truly wonderful. If she could have delivered my baby, I would have stayed. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option. I found this private practice after seeing someone say, "I trust Dr. Gandhi with my life." My experience could not have been more different. I began care here during my first pregnancy and felt supported during the first 12 weeks with the nurse practitioner. Once I transitioned to Dr. Gandhi, everything changed. Nine times out of ten I was the only patient in the office. Despite that, every appointment felt extremely rushed and chaotic. She would speak so fast while reviewing my chart it felt like listening to an auctioneer. I assumed she was overbooked, but the office was almost always empty. She would walk in saying "hi hi let me find my brain," rush through my medication list, and incorrectly say I wasn't taking medications that were clearly documented. When I corrected her, she admitted she skipped over them because she was moving too fast. That alone is very concerning for an OB. Her language was also extremely unprofessional. At nearly every appointment she used words like "f***," "s***," and "a**." At one visit I counted at least five times. She even said, "If you don't give a f***, I don't give a f***." I have never heard a physician speak this way to a pregnant patient. It was shocking and inappropriate. Things escalated when I became very sick and was hospitalized during pregnancy. I called her emergency line to confirm if ER-prescribed medication was safe. Her response was, "Listen to them, they know better than I do." She said she would review my paperwork and call me back within the hour. She never called. The next day she barely remembered the conversation and dismissed how sick I had been. I told her I needed the medication and would manage my blood sugars. She acknowledged it would raise them. I later submitted my glucose log clearly showing the medication caused elevated readings, and I still received a Walgreens alert that insulin had been prescribed with no call or discussion. The nurse practitioner later called saying my sugars were "so high" I needed insulin immediately. I explained everything. It became clear Dr. Gandhi had not documented anything from our emergency call and had not informed the team. They were about to start insulin based on incorrect, medication-induced readings. I could hear her in the background say, "Oh yeah that's right, tell her to hold off on the insulin then." There was no documentation, no follow-up, and at my next visit she didn't even ask how I was doing after being hospitalized. At another appointment I had to ask when my next ultrasound was, because nothing had been scheduled after my 20-week anatomy scan with a high-risk specialist. Referrals had not been sent. Had I not asked, I would have had nothing scheduled. She blamed the hospital, then moved ultrasounds in-house, but later still asked when my next high-risk ultrasound was despite making that change. It was disorganized and stressful. If you don't bring questions, appointments consist of weight, belly measurement, rushing through meds, and "any questions?" with no guidance or preparation for what's ahead. She met my husband multiple times, yet later said, "Nice to meet you, we haven't met before." We also declined the Tdap vaccine at 26 weeks, which was documented, yet at 28 weeks she came in saying, "The girls will give you your TDAP," without checking notes. The nurses were confused and already had a declination form ready. When I messaged her saying I felt rushed and anxious due to lack of preparation, she responded in all caps: "IM SORRY YOU FELT RUSHED. I ASK STUPID QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER OFTEN REPEATING MYSELF." None of my concerns were addressed. I transferred care immediately. My first appointment with a new OB was completely different. I left informed, calm, and supported. My new office also found missing and incomplete documentation throughout my records. Additional concerns include the ultrasound technician never introducing herself or communicating, and poor blood draw experiences where blood was spilled. This is now the second time I have left a review, as my previous reviews appear to have been deleted or hidden by the practice. That alone is very concerning when trying to share honest patient experiences. This practice caused unnecessary stress and anxiety during a vulnerable time in my pregnancy. Between rushed visits, lack of communication, unprofessional behavior, missed referrals, poor documentation, and safety concerns with medication management, I cannot recommend this office. The difference after transferring care was immediate.

This is actually Oliver's wife writing the review. If you,…read moreor a loved one, suffer from any type of mental illness, see Dr. Dekhtyar. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, considerate and understanding. He has been in practice for years, has lots of experience, but also implements and the latest technology and treatments in mental health care. He has an incredible staff from his receptionists to nurse practioners and other doctors in his practice. He also has a pharmacy in office where you can purchase your medication when you see him as an outpatient. My husband had to be hospitalized due to severe mania from bipolar disorder. He was in another hospital in the northwest suburbs for one week and he came out more ill, more agitated and angrier than he went in. When he went to Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health, the entire operation is set up so patients, family members and staff are safe and protected. My husband was treated by Dr. Dekhtyar and his associate, Dr. Lim, at the hospital. There was an entire team set up to support my husband and me. Case workers, Nurses, Doctors, you name it, they have it in place to help. I've talked to staff at 8 am and 10 pm when my husband was hospitalized. Each time, Dr. Dekhtyar was either at the hospital, had just left or was just walking in. He in the hardest working doctor ever. He loves his work, he loves helping people and he is, in my opinion, the best psychiatrist in the country. Dr. Dekhtyar saved my husband and my marriage. I am forever grateful to him, his practice and his associates. I am actually shocked by the negative reviews. Dr. Dekhtyar does everything he possibly can to help his patients, BUT they must help themselves and do what they need to do to heal. If they don't, Dr. Dekhtyar will fire that patient because there's really nothing he can do if they are not medication compliant; or whatever he recommends. So, it's possible the negative reviews are because the writer refused to follow the advice of the doctor.
