This is NOT a place to go if you have mental health issues. They don't answer the phone, don't…read morerefill prescriptions and don't return messages. This is the most unprofessional provider I've ever encountered. STAY AWAY.

DONT LEAVE YOUR KIDS ALONE WITH JAMIE MCMULLEN, BETTER YET FIND A DIFFERENT THERAPIST AND FACILITY…read more My 2 kids ages 9 & 10 have been patients of Jamie McMullen's for a couple months now, Dad and I coparent 2 very defiant kids that grew up with little/ no structure. The ardent center accepted our ins, was conveniently located between dad and I, and had openings that worked with our schedules so we gave it a shot. WORST MISTAKE EVER! Last weekend while the kids were with me, I asked them to do some household chores ex; fold their laundry including matching sock, they did some then got board and walked away I made them come back and finnish that was when my son said, "I CANT WAIT UNTIL IM 13" I asked him why what's happening when your 13?, he said, "MY COUNSELOR TOLD ME WHEN IM 13 I GET TO DECIDE IF I WANT TO GO WITH YOU AND YOU CANT MAKE ME!" I then asked my daughter if she was told the same thing and she said, yes. We brought our kids to JAMIE because we trusted that she could HELP or kids NOT make thing WORSE for us at home. Today I met with Jamie and asked her if she told my kids that when they are 13 they can decide who they want and don't want to visit and who they want to and don't want to live with. SHE DENIED IT AND SAID NO SHES NOT A LAWYER TO GIVE THAT ADVICE. Don't get me wrong there are certain circumstances were kids might have a say but my children have a roof over their head, food on the table, and clothes on their back. They are not abused or neglected. My children are not innocent but I can tell you one thing for sure, MY SON IS NOT A LIAR! I then asked Jamie if my kids can join us and we can clarify things, SHE SAID NO! She said she does not feel comfortable talking to my kids about it. I Walked out of the room and told my kids that I had a conversation with Jamie about the information they told me she gave them and I told them how she denied it and they said she's LYING, SHE TOLD US.... (they even recalled the day) HOW DEAR A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL TELL THAT TO MY KIDS. WHO KNOWS HOW MANY KIDS HEADS SHE IS MANIPULATING! OH AND WHEN I SPOKE WITH THE CEO HE PRETTY MUCH CALLED MY KIDS LIARS AND SAID HE KNOWS JAMIE IS A PROFESSIONAL AND WOULDNT SAY THAT. HMMMM I wonder where my kids pick that line up from???!!! BOTTOM LINE FIND ANOTHER BUSINESS TO TAKE YOUR FAMILY TO, THIS ONE HAS DONE MORE DAMAGE THAN ANYTHING. I RECOMMEND, MICHELLE POTTER AT PHOENIX FAMILY CENTER IN ELGIN http://www.phoenixfamilycenter.com/

My experience having been treated here was relieving at first as I really needed serious attention…read moreand help, but slowly became unprofessional. This is not the location to choose if you are looking for long-term healing. The advice and insight I've been given felt like a bandaid compared to a lot of the complex and deeper issues I was struggling with. I didn't feel care or empathy at all from Katarina. The office started ghosting me, and have not gotten any response from her. Coming out of my sessions I felt unimportant, I felt like my issues and struggles didn't matter. This place didn't feel like a lighthouse. Matters got worse when I was asking for a note, or signing papers for work. The attitude towards me became cold. If it was out of their capabilities, I wish they tried referring me to a different location, helping me reach out to the actual help I needed. I felt so lost and stressed especially in the state I was in already. I felt threatened to have a session or not. Please, take the time to listen, be patient, understanding, responsive, and act with care as all these patients are going through tough times. Edit* After writing this review, I experienced an unsavory set of actions in order for me to take down this review, thus slowing my healing process. I have no doubt they have helped individuals before, but the unsavory actions indicate large red flags for this business. I advise caution. After every session, Katarina would just walk away like time was up that's it. I just felt like a stranger that she had to talk to for one hour and then that's it. Being a social worker, I felt it lacked the empathy and warmth. I've never felt as if she tried to understand me. I switched to my old psychologist and after just one session with him I felt hopeful. I expressed my concerns and he showed me empathy and a willingness to work things through.

Extremely disappointing and a waste of money if you present an issue of complexity. Be aware this…read moreis the kindergarten of therapy. You can get better information, advice and direction from YouTube or podcasts. There are several highly trained and experienced therapists that you access for your specific concern. Unless you lack any self awareness, and even then, either these therapists are oblivious or simply don't have a level of skill or any follow through necessary. If you don't return, no one follows up. May as well just use a free, more highly specific resource. I was advised to take action that is opposite of that for dealing with someone with the issues presented and would've further antagonized an already dangerous situation. Presented with the caveat they really don't know. I am not paying to get advice from someone who doesn't know! I can get bad advice for free, on my own time and not have to drive! Maybe try online therapy that isn't as expensive and time consuming and offers more alternatives for your specific issue. Extremely disappointing. Do not recommend.

Let me tell you my story. I was researching and trying to find better pediatrician for my son who…read morewas diagnosed with autism. His current pediatrician office is incompetent in the matter and I saw good reviews about Bedrose Pediatrics so I decided to call and check if my sons insurance is accepted. When I called and explained the situation I was rudely stopped with a question what insurance do we have, I explained what kind of insurance we had. Lady confirmed that they accept our insurance however before proceeding with registering and scheduling appointment they need all his records transferred from previous pediatrics and that it can take up to 2-3 weeks. I did request it and waited almost a month. Now I called again and was asked about insurance type my son has I explained everything and was told that they will register him first and than check if they received the records. Upon checking I was asked about insurance he has and when person heard it is PPO she was very enthusiastic about it. Than I was asked if patient has secondary insurance, And yes he does have medicaid but only through state not through insurance company and person was confused, She asked someone about it and than told me they cannot accept my son as he has medicaid as their panel is full. The tone changed immediately on words : Medicaid. So basically I lost a month on this pediatric office just to tell me after a month that they cannot accept my son as he has Medicaid as secondary insurance. But no one asked me that first time. So if you child has medicaid this people will not accept it plus they will speak with you differently. I can tell this office is all about money only, not the kids and their health. Please, Bedrose Pediatrics, teach your stuff to ask this question first time in a row. Thanks to you guys we lost a month and now late with annual check up. As a result my son is left without a doctor and I will have to start looking for different one. I guess if your child has medicaid or all kids , even if it is secondary and even if you child is with special needs this state does not care, doctors of Illinois do not care they will not accept you. Maybe this office has good doctors but their front desk is letting them down with such behavior.

I don't understand the negative reviews - Our experiences with two kids and over five years have…read morealways been decent to great. The office staff seems to be in the upper 1/3 of what I've seen in medical practices- they're all generally nice and they follow through on commitments / get doctors to call back / send forms, etc. The doctors are all pretty good - they encourage rotating docs when you first start so you get to know everyone and then they treat as a practice, not as an individual doctor with their set of patients. As a result, it's a lot easier to get appointments and speak with a doctor. There is one doctor we don't really click with but the rest more than make up for that. The practice does little things that matter - from having extra time for call in hours to producing general OTC drug dosing references for kids that do a better job than label directions at matching dose to weight, etc, this practice is better than others we looked at. In contrast to other reviews, I can't remember me or my wife ever waiting more than a few minutes for a room or to be seen by a doctor once we were in a room -- over five years with two frequently sick kids. Lastly, they've been with us through some tough early years and we felt supported the whole way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice.
