What a terrific athletic field!…read more Paul Goode Field is an excellent turf field, sporting two baseball diamonds, a full-size soccer field, a small set of bleachers, and a smaller auxiliary field. Even in the crazy storms over the past few weeks, the fields remained playable. The bathrooms are decent and parking lot is convenient -- if you can get a spot. Parking fills up quick! Just up the hill, you can catch additional bathrooms, fields and the playground at Presidio Wall Playground. While the field is owned by the Presidio Trust, it's operated by nearby University High School. The field seems pretty booked up, at least during weekends and after-school time slots. I can see why!

Sure, everything's super $$$ but the location, interior and food are worth the splurge. Some food faves are the crazy crabz sandwich, garlic fries, chicken tenders, super super burgers, and Ghirardelli sundae. Giants had such an amazing run in their even year dynasty back in 2010-2014 era and hope to see them make a comeback soon!

Watching the Diamondbacks vs. Giants game with the beautiful bay as a backdrop was just incredible. Even though the Diamondbacks won 10-6, the atmosphere was electric. There were plenty of booths and concessions, and I managed to grab some food. A quick heads-up about parking: definitely arrange it beforehand! I learned the hard way that you can't just pay on the day. I ended up paying $50 at 72 Mission Rock Street, San Francisco, CA, which was a bit steep, but it's San Francisco, so that's to be expected. Concession prices were also pretty high. A sandwich was over $20, and my partner's beer was $22. Despite the cost and the parking hassle, the overall experience was fantastic. We were all the way up at the top (free tickets from work), but the view was still amazing. Eating peanuts and soaking in the live game was just so much better than watching on TV. As someone not super into sports, I learned so much and truly enjoyed it. I'm already looking forward to coming back for more games!

I was surprised at how many people showed up to come play. I really liked how random people played with one another and nobody gave one another dirty looks for joining their game. It was a very cordial environment and it encouraged me to come play again. I'm not very athletic but playing helped release a lot of steam, so I am thinking of making it a regular hobby. However, there was a woman also going around with a petition to keep the courts free to the public as opposed to paying to reserve it. Highly recommend if you enjoy either pickleball or tennis. Found a short cut from the California Academy of Sciences Business Entrance to catch a street car…read more Right across the street is a leisurely walk to Lincoln and 9th. The park is pristine and beautiful. A few folks relaxing on the big green open space and dogs walking their owners on leashes. Pups are not allowed on the field or grassy area. There's a beautiful baseball field in perfect condition. I didn't see a spec of litter. Even the 5 minute walk was a great break for me. I'm not really a hangout in the park guy, but I can see myself on a park bench here relaxing in the future.

The Big REc , is a big open space of green within the GGP. I've seen casual baseballers, soccer…read moreplayers, frisbee throwers, dodgeballers, and the sorts all utilizing parts of the green. On my most recent visit, I noticed that signs stating no dogs allowed were placed along the perimeter of the main grassy expanse. That's fine, because there is still plenty of grass surrounding the main sports area , where you can toss a ball with your well behaved pup. There is a bathroom close by , along with a water fountain for humans and dogs. There are Bleachers to sit and watch games or bring a blanket to sit somewhere on the grass to enjoy the fresh air, sun, and laid back atmosphere. Within a couple of minutes of walking , are museums , the Japanese gardens, and endless amounts of meandering people, due to some event or another going on in GGP. Parking is always a challenge anywhere in the city , so good luck with that. Have fun !

So much luscious towering trees like eucalyptus groves, as well as enormous massive cypress trees and so much green grass open spaces !!!! Boat rentals are available at the lake!! The park is huge and museums, lakes, and cultural attractions like the Japanese Tea Garden, Conservatory of Flowers, the de Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences. There are lots of park benches for sitting and beautiful water fountains to admire. There is a parking garage close by called the music concourse parking that costs $5 per hour. It's a lovely place to take a nice walk. The gardens are beautiful.

A refreshing experience and a little slice of slowing things down in busy surroundings. We've been hoping to visit Joe DiMaggio for quite some time now, and it was so nice to get there over the holidays. You can find street parking in the surrounding neighborhood ~ we had to do a few laps coming on a weekend afternoon, so keep in mind leaving time to park. We didn't have much time to explore much else than the epic slides (2), swings, and both fun and engaging equipment for kiddos of all ages. That is one thing I've noticed about city parks ~ creative developers that keep equipment innovative while still safe and exciting (even for us adults! Ha) This is def a Playground that was to me, worthy of the drive from the East Bay. Enough room to run, play, and truly enjoy something different than the parks we frequent. This Playground is set near the heart of North Beach which makes for a great afternoon out strolling to well-known eateries and a great foodie adventure. We didn't notice restrooms, so traveled to the public library across the way to also check out the kiddo section. Would definitely return!
