I have mixed emotions on this place. I have been there a handful of times thus far; Twice Dr. Pham was very professional and kind. Once I went and she was very condescending, and made me feel uncomfortable. The last time I visited she went from kind, to condescending, and back again. I'm not sure how that happens. She seems condescending when I question recommendations. Like some of the others, I also feel like I am getting nickle and dimed when I'm told it's recommended I need additional services and "the insurance doesn't cover these services." If the services are necessary, why are they not covered by insurance? And some of these additional services are very expensive. Right now I will probably go back for a follow-up appointment, but much will depend on that experience as to whether I go back. read more

I have been to this place for 3~ 4 years. On last visit, they asked me to sign on small paper by saying doctor needs it during prep to see doctor. So I did. In my previous experience, I used to be requested from time to time to sign papers when I went to doctors' offices. It is most likely relevant to indemnifying doctors and the payment in case that insurance company deny to pay for my treatments. I realized that it was using machine to take pictures for my eyes and it was not covered by insurance. I have never been to this place for many years but it was first time for them to work in extent with not covered by Insurance. I did not get to know the reality until I came to front desk to make next appointment. The front desk asked me to pay certain amount. I wonder what I have to pay for, because my co-pay is zero on my insurance. She contended that I signed on the paper to pay. I defended that I heard from the employee (like nurse or something like that) doctor needed but I have never heard additional charge which is not covered by insurance. She threatened me by saying that she would hand over collection agency if I did not pay at that time. I felt like I am a aggrieved party. I talked to manager but she was also bureaucratic. I cancelled further appointment and left. I may not go there again. It was not good memory to me. read more

Would not recommend this place to anyone. Took my 2 kids here for their first eye exam with Dr. Kattan Want to start off by saying everyone at reception as well as the nurses were super professional. Dr. Kattan on the other hand was the exact opposite. She insisted that the kids had to have their eyes dilated since this was their first exam. We were taken back almost 25 minutes after our appointment time to begin their exams. When it came to dilating, both my kids did not like the idea of have drops put in their eyes. I took my daughter out of the room so she can do my son first, and she had no patience getting the drops in. If you insist to dilate and will not do the exam without it, at least have some patience as they are kids and they will have some resistance. Once my son was done, I was taking my daughter in and she said she is going to take the next patient instead. We waited abut 15 minutes and she came to re-test my sons eyes but gave up and said "I'm done" and "I cant do this". She left the room and the nurse said she will give it a try and was able to do it in 20 seconds. She came out to me and once again said she is done and we are delaying her. She had multiple patients waiting and said she is going to reschedule my daughter. I understand most of your patients might be elderly, but don't make the appointment in the first place if you are not willing to do the exam for kids and will be rude and have 0 patience. read more

I had my yearly eye exam this week which went very well because the staff is very professional and engaging. I was seen very quickly for the initial exam and then taken to Dr Leung who completed the exam. Renee was super helpful when it came time to order new lenses. I got new glasses after an eye exam, but the prescription was incorrect and I couldn't see with new glasses. I returned them, and all the optical staff would do was reorder my old prescription, even though I asked to see the optometrist. I also asked for a partial refund, since I paid almost $300 for the exact same prescription that I had previously. The staff said they would speak to the optometrist and let me know. It has been 2 weeks and no return call, and no refund. I've been a patient for about 6 years but not planning to return. read more

I was diagnose with cataracts in my mid 40s and by late 40s I couldn't see the text on my navigation screen of my car. My insurance refer me to Mosier Eye Center. Since this had to involve my eye, I did further research and also evaluated other eye centers. I decided to stick with Mosier and was connected with Doctor Pham. She is very warm and knowledgeable and explained the process to me. After the cataract surgery they don't just leave you and say bye, I have been back to have my eyes examined to make sure everything was on the up and up. So far, it's been almost a year since my cataract surgery and new eye lens and am satisfied with the results. The only issue I had was with the estimate process, they only gave me partial expense and came to found out there was more to pay at ta later date.. But Doctor Pham and other staff made up for it. Dr Pham is INCREDIBLE! She has the very best bedside manner and TRULY cares about her patients. He knowledge and expertise in cataract and dry eye's are impressive as well as other diseases of the eye. She has been treating our family for the last several years and has been holding my hand through some very extreme eye conductions. I can't imagine what my journey would be like without her...both as a expert in Cataracts, but also as a caregiver. I'm so thankful that Dr Pham is here in Fullerton and that she is a vital part of the team at Mosier! I also have to give a HUGE shout out to Sam, Amanda and the entire team at Mosier. I've been going to Mosier Eye Center for many years and have always been happy with their care. The staff are efficient and wait times are good. Dr. Hancock was very good with taking time with the patient, really explaining your current eye condition and what to expect in future, needed treatment etc. She has retired and the new Dr. Bandak did not take time to explain what she was doing, or looking for, did not explain what was happening in the eye for needed new prescription. Did not tell me what my score was 20/20 etc. I had to ask her as she was escorting me out of the room and so received my answers in ear shot of those waiting, which definitely would be a privacy concern. In short, she needs to work on communication skills, making a patient feel they have her undivided attention and concern. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Mosier for many years now. While they are a pretty busy facility, when I see him, we always have a good exchange of information about the condition of my eyes. He takes the time to explain the results and answers any questions I have. Recently, I needed to check on an issue and Dr. Mosier wasn't available soon so I saw Dr. Pham. She also took the necessary time to discuss my situation and answer my questions. My wife and I will continue to see Drs. Mosier and Pham to keep our vision at an optimum level. read more

I did a review on 2/25/2024 which is now missing from this site. i also did a follow up review on 3/17/2024 about Mosier pulling a review that I did from an online survey. This is what I said in my original review. In May of last year I received cataract sugery performed by Dr Pham. I paid several thousand dollars extra to get the advanced laser treatment and upgraded lense recommended by Dr Pham. Several days after the operation, I lost vision in the eye and received emergency treatment at St judes. It was a Sunday and I was unable to reach Dr Pham or anyone else at Mosier. I saw Dr Pham on Monday and was put on a number of eye medications with assurance that within a short time my vision would be restored. Dr Pham said the problem was a scratched cornea. The short time turned into more than a month and there was no improvement in my condition but DR Pham insisted that all I needed was just a little more time. She also said the back of my eye where the retina is ,was in great shape. I consulted with several other eye doctors to learn that the problem was an inflamed retina and not the scratched cornea. DR Pham failed in everyway with this operation and after treatment. Since that time, I am being treated by a retina doctor requiring regular eye injections and drops and the eye feels terrible. I am 84 years old. Also, in checking up on Dr Pham after this incident, I found out that she filed a lawsuit for wrongfull termination from an eye surgery center in the Los Angeles area. Not a good sign. Regarding office experience ,example, had an 11: AM appointment and saw doctor 2: 15 PM. read more

What an experience! So happy I chose an optometrist that actually cares and is happy to see their patients. First off, temperature checks are taken at the door followed by fans keeping you fresh as California experiences the worst heatwave ever and cold iced water bottles being given to the patients. Ok, ok never been to a place where they care so much about the patients before being seen... I do have to admit, I was very intimidated being there. But I received a warm welcome from each office staff. I was so excited to be there and felt right at home. I was treated by two office staff that were knowledgeable, patient and overall excited to be working there. As I'm waiting on the doctor, I had an office staff welcome me and gave me a quick chat and got to know me as a person than a patient. After that, Dr. Hancock gave me my eye exam and was extremely sweet, professional and knowledgeable. The lady who helped me pick out my glasses, helped me pick the most stylish glasses for me and was truly there to make me even more comfortable than I already was. We were seen at Dr. Mozier's office on very short notice when my husband experienced a clot in his retina that cause the loss of sight in that eye very suddenly. We were so impressed from start to finish, with the experience in the office, the speed with which we were seen for different tests, and how we were kept in the loop and apprised of findings as they were revealed. Although we were subsequently referred to a retina specialist, there was a personal followup call from one of the office staff at Dr. Mosier's, with a prompt to call her if there was anything at all we needed. Just an unexpectedly superior experience with doctor, staff, and followup. Highly recommend. The offices were beautifully appointed, clean, and they have a dispensing optometric location inside the offices that looks very good. read more

I have been very happy with the care and concern with my eyes. There was a concern with the macula and they were able to get me into a specialist very quickly who just put a watch on the problem. I was very happy with their optometrist and the fitting of my glasses. The previous place I went to, I could not even wear the the glasses and was using an older pair. I never mentioned anything, until after he finished my exam. I asked about the cataracts. Dr. Mosier looked at me confused.. "You don't have cataracts." So grateful for Dr. Mosier and his team..
