I was very specific of what I wanted to get for my daughter on Valentine's Day I explained to her that I only wanted old rose pinks, pastel color hydrangeas and roses. Asked me if I wanted twigs? I asked describe the twigs, she said a little bit of leaves around it. I said yes. My daughter sent me a photo of dark pinks, with an orchid, and this huge leaves around the small vase. I actually bought something other than flowers from this delightful little shop recently. The flowers are, of course, gorgeous, but they also carry a small, and very cool, selection of gifts and cards. The gifts run the gamut from jewelry to candles to cookbooks and the cards are everything from sweet to sassy. The shop is small so you can tell that the cards and gifts are very thoughtfully curated. And the selection rotates seasonally so it's a great spot to continually stop in to check out. No complaints. She made a nice, original and tasteful piece for a life commemorization we were unable to attend directly (that's my own euphemism for a cremation - in case you were wondering). I really love their arrangements, and the customer service is great. I stopped in this morning to order an arrangement for my aunt's 80th birthday (today). I asked them to use old-fashioned-looking flowers. They were able to deliver the arrangement to her this afternoon, and when she called to thank me, she specifically mentioned that the flowers looked like they came from an old-fashioned garden. She thought they were lovely, and was so pleased with them. Not only was the staff member (Emily) very accommodating and kind on the phone, she was also willing to work with me on creating the perfect bouquet to meet the idea I had put together and at a fair price. The gal that took my order was very positive saying "ok" to everything I wanted...when the arrangement came (4 hours later than expected) it was nothing like I expected. From the reviews I thought I would get something very original and beautiful, but only got a few plants thrown in a basket with a few cut flowers added. No ribbon or greenery for fill. The bouquets arrived and they were mostly filled with greens, all fall colors and looked like they had come from Safeway. As people walked by my office and saw them, they laughed and asked where the ugly flowers came from.
