At the register, his whole attitude was hostile and clearly meant to make us uncomfortable. I was uncomfortable enough that I didn't even want to use my card. My friend paid cash instead. Then another older male employee walked up with a smug look while we were finishing. When we calmly asked why we were being asked to leave, we were told, "the people on the cameras don't want you here." That's not an actual reason. If there was a problem, say it. If there was an assumption being made (like thinking we're resellers), communicate that. We're not. Instead, it just felt like two older male employees decided they didn't want two young women in their store and handled it in the most unprofessional way possible.
