I come here once and a while to get their house boba tea with tapioca bobas and the tonkotsu ramen, and while both of those are great, the one thing that is not great it the sticky tables and long waits. We once waited for 30 minutes and still did not get our drinks, so just asked for a refund and left. My only gripe was that I was ordering for something with a dairy intolerance and the girl working the counter couldn't give me a straight answer about which products were dairy free which confused me because she was the one making them so I thought she could tell me if they had milk or not. Needs Better Staff. I have been here many times to get my vegetarian sister her very specific food. They normally don't disappoint. But for some reason when I called, She was laughing and not listening. When I asked a question, she half answered. So I'm glad I asked again, because they don't have it anyway. When I went to pick up the food, I was being rushed to take my bag and leave by being told that was everything. Luckily I know what was ordered and the drinks were not there. Even after they were on the receipt on the bag that she looked at, she did ask someone else, who told her where the drinks were. I brought my daughter here as she loves smoothies with boba. It was busy, but the guys working moved very fast. They have a huge menu of teas and smoothies. This place has the best boba in the southwest suburbs, because it's authentic to its origin. For people curious in this area to try boba drinks, you can honestly start here. The boba is cooked well and is perfectly chewy and the flavors are good. Boba started in Taiwan and everything about this place stays close to how it's been made and how it is suppose to taste since the early 2000s. On the menu, they have boba drinks, the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, fries, the beef and chicken rice bowls and the rolled ice cream. They are all good, all flavorful. There are too many other inauthentic boba shops in the suburbs that rush cook the tapioca balls leaving them so hard to chew or too soft, and they use low quality powder that doesn't dissolve in the drinks. They don't represent boba well. This is not one of those places. This is one of my trusted places in this area barren of good Asian food and drinks. Saw that this place was finally opened so my husband and I decided to try it out! I'm a big fan of Taiwanese tea shops as it's what I frequented when I lived in Southern California and to see one open up was a treat! First the teas. I've ordered the house bubble tea and the Thai tea. Both were reminiscent of many Thai shops I've been to and just as delicious! Next the appetizer. First time we came here we just got the Taiwanese crispy chicken which I've always known it as popcorn chicken. Lots of flavor and a good crunch! My only recommendation is to please serve it with sweet and sour sauce. That sauce always goes great with the chicken. Next is the rice bowl. My husband got the original beef bowl which we know it as gyudon. I tried a little of it and beef had lots of flavor. I got the Combo Luxury #2 which came with teriyaki chicken and Tempura shrimp. It was was I expected but some chicken pieces were a little dry. Flavor overall was great! Lastly, the rolled ice cream. We saw a lot of people come and go while we were eating dinner and noticed this was the menu item most people went for. I got the green tea rolled ice cream and my husband got the strawnana rolled ice cream. A great tasty dessert to end the day! Came here with my husband and two daughters because we had a taste for boba tea. We each ordered a boba drink and my daughters each ordered a strawberry rolled ice cream. The boba drinks were so good, very refreshing and great flavors. We had the brown sugar, mango, and I ordered the purple one (can't remember the flavor name). Only negative things to say is the tables were dirty and sticky, staff definitely needs to wipe them down better (and often) and the bill was crazy high. For four boba drinks and two cups of rolled ice cream our bill was $48!!! Insane. Definitely overpriced so will only be a rare treat. read more

I came to the Orland Park area to run an errand, and I stopped here for a cup of bubble tea and an order of popcorn chicken. I'm so glad I came. It's located inside of a strip mall, and they have parking right outside of the store. As soon as you walked in, there's a sign for you to place an order, and the staff were so friendly and I was greeted right away. I ended up getting an oolong milk tea, I love that the drink came with tapioca, and I also added their custard pudding which is so smooth and silky. The chicken took a few minutes to cook, but the smell and the taste was so worth it. It's well packaged, and it was still crispy by the time I came home (~25ish minute drive). I stole a few bites and sips on the way home. I couldn't resist. They also sell rolled ice cream, and it was surprisingly busy at 8pm on a Tuesday. It means they're doing something right, and they're one of the places that stay open late in that area. They also have plenty of seating available for those who prefer to dine in, and they also have ramen on their menu too. My family and I were excited to see a new bubble tea place open in the area since the area is lacking. Having grown up in the area I never would have imagined bubble tea here next to a lou malnatis. We first tried it a few days after opening and have been back twice since. I can definitively say Motea's bubble milk tea is not comparable to other local bubble tea shops because this is actually authentic. Coming from areas with many bubble tea options, this is among the best you can expect to find, which was a nice surprise. The bubble tea is flavorful with many options. The boba is soft. We usually stick with oolong , house , or brown sugar milk tea with boba. I tried the beef bowl, teriyaki chicken, crispy chicken and tempura (almost every menu item) and all were tasty with a fair price. The teriyaki chicken was kind of hard. If you want legit boba tea, or fruit smoothies, i would suggest going to jojo asian bistros on 183rd instead. At least this would be closer to what you would get in Chicago Chinatown. It seems that they use powder instead of fresh fruits to make your drink. Also, they are doing a BOGO currently during their grand opening (24th-25th July) where they only limit one per GROUP and not order. This means that if you are a group of ten and each one of your friends place their own order, they will limit you to one person only to BOGO. Which defeats the purpose of trying to get your name out and your product. No where on their flier did they put restrictions, instead they tell you at the moment you place your order. read more
