They are always happy to adjust ingredients based on allergies (whether dropping or swapping), and the service just makes you feel valued as a customer. The good: super accommodating and mindful of food allergies, all organic and fresh ingredients, fun menu options, cute little shop with welcoming vibes, conveniently located near Core Power and Orange Theory Fitness and offer a discount for members. The bad: I wouldn't come to this place for a smoothie. It took over 10 min for a smoothie and I was one of 2 customers in the establishment. My smoothie tasted like frozen banana and not much else, which was sad given it was 12 bucks! The 2 employees of the establishment looked lost when I asked them questions about the menu and in general did not seem very approachable. I can't speak to the açaí bowls (they did look tasty) but 100% will not be purchasing another smoothie from this establishment. read more

We ordered a 16oz açaí bowl, and the server offered to split it for my kids which was really convenient. I also ordered the alligator pear and fig toast. Both were very yummy and filling. The açaí was so delicious!!! The workers smiled, made eye contact, and were very happy with a good attitude. They have tables right by the train tracks which is a nice sight for kids. The only issue I had was that the açaí bowl literally (I looked at my receipt for time stamp) took 25 minutes with only 2 guests in front who ordered a quick drink, and my toast literally came out 30 min after ordering. This is a really long wait for what it is, but I am still giving It 5 stars because it was worth the wait, and we will be back. read more

Most everything is vegan (minus if you want milk in your coffee or shake). The staff is super friendly and service is great. As someone who is into fitness and healthier eating, I had been curious about The Upbeet Life for some time. Well, I took two spin classes back to back and figured I would treat myself by checking the place out. Upon entering, I was kindly welcomed by the girl at the counter. There was another person working. They were both very helpful and accommodating. I decided to order the Choco 'Euphoria smoothie and the Avo Life toast. The smoothie is made up of Almond Milk, Banana, Espresso, Vegan Chocolate Protein, Chia Seeds. It was delicious and filling. I felt like I was truly enjoying a healthy smoothie and was very energized as I was drinking it. Many places nowadays have smoothies that are supposedly healthy, but full of sugar. The Avo Life toast was unique in both appearance and flavor. Multi Grain bread served as the foundation for Organic Avocado, Fig, Rosemary, Paprika, Sunflower Seeds, Himalayan Pink Salt. I personally found it to be too heavy on the paprika, but it was an experience trying something new. I had never eaten figs prior to this and am now a fan. I think next time I will try the other power toast on the menu. The place itself is very small, with a few stools available for sitting. While the ingredients are quality and each menu item carefully put together, I do think The Upbeet Life's number one thing is customer service. As my smoothie was being made, they asked if I would like to give it a try to make sure the flavor was to my liking. I also appreciated how they wrote "Have a nice day!" on the container. It may sound cheesy to others, but as someone who was heavy a more difficult day, it was an unexpected but pleasant gesture. I will definitely be back to try out their other smoothies this summer! read more

I tried the açaí bowl and it was delicious. If you get it to-go it will be in a cup, but they still make it with a beautiful presentation. You can select your own ingredients from a list of mostly vegan friendly toppings. Just be sure to ask if the granola used is the vegan one because they have two kinds. For the the summer there are two stools outside if you want to have something there. The staff has been very friendly ever time I've visited. The Upbeet Life also has smoothies and coffee. They didn't not take my order for 10 minute, I had to wait additional 10 minutes because they were out of strawberries, which I saw a worker going to trader Joe to buy some strawberries when its was 20 degrees outside, this is not acceptable. read more

This is my new favorite spot in La Grange! It is located east of Noodles and Co. on Calendar. It is quite small, but a great place to pick up healthy smoothies and bowls.
