I booked…read morethis hotel because I trusted the Hyatt name and believed it would be a safe, comfortable place for our family to stay for two nights. Looking back, I wish I had just splurged and stayed at the hotel across from the Georgia Aquarium. The first room we were assigned had a toilet that didn't work. For the amount of money we paid for a two-night stay, that was completely unacceptable. Overall, the hotel felt more like a Holiday Inn Express than a Hyatt, which was extremely disappointing given the price and the Hyatt brand. During our stay, someone was smoking marijuana in the hotel, and several guests were loud and disruptive, creating an atmosphere that felt unsafe. Because of this, we didn't feel comfortable using the pool. Housekeeping never came to clean our room, provide fresh towels, or restock the in-room coffee supplies. That was especially frustrating because the hotel had run out of coffee at breakfast, forcing us to leave the property and buy coffee elsewhere. For a Hyatt, this level of service was completely unacceptable. The complimentary breakfast was also disappointing. It consisted mostly of processed food and fell far short of the quality I expect from a Hyatt. Overall, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a Hyatt. The property felt run-down, dingy, and poorly managed. Considering what we paid, the value simply wasn't there. I believe the hotel should be thoroughly evaluated to determine why the quality, cleanliness, and overall guest experience have declined so significantly.

I booked and prepaid through hotels.com, and this was NOT disclosed. I went back and looked at the fee section to see what was listed and it only says $50 hold for incidentals. Ridiculous policy because I'm already here and even if I could cancel and get a refund I'd pay more last minute to switch to another hotel. (Hotels.com typically won't let you cancel and if you do it's a hassle). The excuse from the clerk is "well you booked through a 3rd party and we don't tell them about it, but it's on our website. You have to go to our website. This made my blood boil. Who books through a third party and also goes to check the website? NOONE! The point of using a third party is partially for convenience. I'm also told by her that if I don't pay I'll get a ticket. This is a terrible business practice and is ripe with potential for a class action lawsuit against Hyatt and the proprietors of this location ....which I intent to explore. I recommend avoiding any and all businesses that use these shady methods to extort more money from their customers. They act like they don't profit because of the booking through a third party. Well that third party gives the majority of that money to the hotel. I'm sick of businesses like this one who use the third party bit as an excuse to treat THEIR customers like an unwanted step-child/2'nd class citizen. Kudos to the clerk who kept her cool because I let her know in no uncertain terms my thoughts on the matter. This hotel knows they have you trapped and it's a small enough amount that most people will just pay it and not deal with trying to get a refund, finding another place to stay last minute, and switching hotels. And they count on that fact. Well I'm not letting it slide. It's not the $13 it's the principle. This feels like theft or extortion and I'm going to enjoy making as much of a stink about it as I can. Will be cut and pasting this everywhere I can leave a review. Enjoy your $13 peachtree Hyatt. Hope it was worth it

The property was converted to a Crowne Plaza in 2021 following a major renovation, and it shows. I really liked the layout and décor of my room. The modern bathroom with a glass shower was a favorite, and the AC system worked exceptionally well. I used the workout room three mornings during my stay and found it well equipped with modern machines and plenty of options. My one suggestion would be to keep the room cooler, especially when several people are working out at the same time. I was surprised the hotel doesn't have a coffee shop. The Keurig in my room didn't look particularly clean, so one morning, rather than making an early run to Starbucks, I decided to have breakfast at the hotel. That was probably the weakest part of my stay. First, I learned they don't make espresso drinks. Then I ordered a Denver omelette off the menu and waited more than 15 minutes, despite the restaurant having very few customers a little after 6 a.m. At that point, I realized I should have gone with the buffet and had my food immediately. I was attending a training about five miles away, so the location worked perfectly for me, with several easy routes to get where I needed to go. Overall, I came away more impressed with Crowne Plaza than I expected. The updated room, comfortable accommodations and excellent workout facility made this a very solid stay.

My son had the breakfast buffet daily and we had some drinks / dinner on two of the nights. The restaurant in the evening seemed a bit short staffed and slow but it was okay. The morning staff was super sweet and attentive and the buffet is very reasonably priced. Our room did have a slight smell when we arrived but I didn't complain as we were exhausted and we got used to it. We slept well and were pleased with the bathroom amenities. Housekeeping came daily as well. The lobby is spacious and they were fine with bringing food in, so we ordered pizzas one night and the kids enjoyed that. The fitness room is small but more than adequate -- I wish I would have used it more. I would definitely stay here again - especially for future PPA tournaments at nearby Life Time Peachtree Corners!

Close enough to Atlanta for travel/activity purposes, but far enough from the downtown to leave you with some peace and privacy. My only quibbles are the lack of breakfast and an indoor pool; and that it is tedious to acquire ice, given the layout of the hotel floorplan. I would consider staying here again, given the right opportunity.

In my room, I could clearly hear somebody using a jackhammer for something, although my complaint is not about that. I can live with construction noise because that's the industry I work in. However, the app clearly states the bistro is open Monday through Friday at 5 PM. This was not the case today at 5:35 PM. There were no lights indicating that the bistro was open for business. There were a few workers just sitting in one of the seats, not having a care in the world, talking crap about some person and what not. The point is, if the app says something will be available at 5 PM, then perhaps it's a good idea to have somebody there at 5 PM. Not a great experience. Don't come with very high expectations here.

The sink had I HOPE, it was corn kernels, on rotation in the drain. I mean they just gave up. I mean... if you stay here.. you'll notice if at the minimum they painted over it, but this is ridiculous. The wall outlets to charge devices can't hold chargers or anything as they're just too loose and they just kept falling out, which just mean they're not child safe (if you have small children) I cannot imagine those who walk around barefoot would only came out with black fit. But the hotel wasn't much better. The pool was minuscule (a family of 4 would fill it up) and out of order to boot. They told us it had been out for a WEEK. The dryer door was broken. The breakfast was definitely on the cheap side compared to most comfort inns; no grits or oatmeal station, little variety in their pastries. No hot chocolate for the kiddos. Worse, they served the same hot food both days whereas most comfort inns mix the hot stuff up each day so you have some variety. Finally, the staff was clearly understaffed/overworked. Overall, the room was clean but so many other aspects of the hotel made it a rather disappointing experience.

Unfortunately, that area is very dark and poorly lit, making it difficult to see and creating safety concerns. Many guests have also expressed concerns about parking in that area due to the lack of lighting. However, during my whole stay (over a week) it has continually been locked late at night and during the day forcing guests to go to the end of the building. The front desk's response was dismissive, insensitive, and inconsiderate of guest safety--especially for women traveling alone or returning to the hotel late at night. Guest safety should be a top priority, and directing guests to walk through dark, unlit areas is unacceptable.
