This hotel is not bad at all considering the low price on a sold out weekend during Spring break and the limited lodging options near Death Valley. We arrived past midnight and I called in advance to make sure they didn't give my rooms away. The front desk guy wasn't the friendliest but did the job. When asked for wifi, he said it was $5 but has not had any luck making it work that day. Skipped. To my surprise, the room was a pretty good size, with wood floors and updated bedding and bathroom sink. If you looked at the bathroom in detail, you would find some less than squeaky clean spots but I wasn't expecting much so decided to just ignore those. They provide you with soap but not shampoo or conditioner so bring your own! There was free coffee in the lobby and there was also a Denny's and convenience store right across. There were also coin operated laundry machines on my floor. Plenty of free parking and you can see the sign from far ahead on the freeway. First time at a Motel 6 and was pleasantly surprised!

The picture on the website are soo miss leading, we were excited at first but then it just kept getting worse and worse as we pulled up. Absolutely NO customer service here! If u ask for something get ready for the attitude that will fallow from the lady at the front desk. The kitchen is a horrible experience they will yell at you if you grab food . They will yell " we have other guest u know." Like scream it, I don't see anywhere that says one plate per person. If its busy and need to bring the food to your room they will absolute flip out. I wish I was kidding. I have a bad back so I needed to go eat in my room didn't think it was going to be such a shit show. This place smells as bad as it can get as well. The pool was the only good part but its in a huge green house so its very hot and humid in there so it wasn't to relaxing. So yeah if u want to just throw your money away and enjoy nothing come to this place. You will absolutely leave disappointed. As the other reviews say as well just keep driving the extra 30 minutes we had such a better time and it was clean great food as well, Oh and u can bring food back to your room without fus..

There is a faint odor lingering in the hallways (not guest rooms). The building is over 100 years old and decaying in certain sections. Journey to Death Valley Junction and stay a while if you need to experience awe and want to restore what you've lost in the hustle and bustle of life. Be inspired by Marta Beckett's murals--a dedicated artist who breathed new life into the walls. Even if you don't stay the night, take a tour and see it for yourself! Plus, this hotel is only 30 minutes from Furnace Creek and is a nice break from camping in the desert at a very affordable price point! The beds were comfortable and everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly. I would stay again.

The hotel is very close to the entrance of Death Valley park. The history of the town and the Opera House that Marta Becket brought to life is fascinating! It was our first time in DVNP, and the cottages looked super cute and convenient. (They were!) In our duplex cottage, we had our own porch area, and inside, a living room (with a sofa fold out bed), a kitchenette area (with a fridge and microwave and coffee maker), a bathroom with a shower, a little washer/dryer laundry machine, and a master bedroom with a closet. We had access to, and used, the 86 degree pool (great after hiking), and there were restaurants and a gift shop and an ice cream shop, and golf facilities. The Oasis is right next door to the Furnace Creek Visitor Center (which we didn't make it to) and the Furnace Creek campground. Super convenient, Super cute, Good food available at the Wild Rose Tavern (which we went to twice), and our cottage neighbors were great. We loved every minute! Staff are super friendly and helpful and we hope to be back.

We had the queen bed deluxe bedroom with balcony in building 800. Room was just ok, but it did the job to keep us cozy and allowed us to rest before each day. Eateries are limited but we ate dinner at the ice cream parlor and wild rose on 2 separate nights. The dinner buffet is $30 per person which we did not try. Last kind words for dinner was always so packed and we did not want to wait. Borax museum on site for us to explore. General store for us to buy some snacks for the kids. That's pretty much it. The spring-fed pool was warm but we only dipped our toes.
