Lobby is dirty, smells like someone was frying chicken. Th lobby host was very nice. Room was very old and and paint chipping floor was sticky. Sheets were stained with what looks like mold. We changed rooms which the new lobby host was very nice also. New room was cleaner but pain chipping. We put heater on and the smell of fried food was horrible. Remote for TV was so gross. This location is pet-friendly with no fees, a rarity for any motel, and the rooms had indoor entries. The staff was friendly and helpful during our three-night stay. Our room was very clean, with the exception of some hairs found on a clean towel, but it was promptly replaced by the front desk. The bed was comfortable and the noise level was acceptable - you could occasionally hear noises from the hall, but they weren't enough to keep us awake. We saw other dogs but never heard them. It was odd, though, that our room had a large empty space in the area of the "suite" that had a couple stools, refrigerator, and microwave (which were convenient!) - it looked like there was supposed to be a couch there. The other issue is that the WiFi was not working, although the front desk said that was an issue with the ISP. There are multiple dining options and a 24-hour Walmart nearby, and it's convenient to 575. With taxes and fees, the room cost less than $55 nightly, and we got much more than we expected for such an inexpensive price. I was very impressed by this Motel 6, as past experiences with other motels in this chain have been bad enough to make me hesitant of all of them. read more

Ok. My sister and I were here Wednesday through Labor Day. We brought 2 chihuahuas. The hotel policy is to keep them in a crate. We had that covered. I gave 2 stars mainly because of problems with housekeeping. We are not picky. I didn't need my bed made every day but I did need my trash emptied and used towels replaced. I would have the trash and dirty towels at the door with the door open waiting for housekeeping to pickup. Ok that worked for a couple days. On I believe it was Saturday,housekeeping came and advised that this was the day to change sheets. However the staff is not permitted in the room if you are in it. WTF. So we had to strip our beds and change our own sheets while the housekeeper stood right outside our door. I went on vacay to get away from housework. Then to ice the cake Sunday our housekeeper,Erica, who left her card in our room stating she was indeed our housekeeper told us, upon our request for 3 bath towels,2 washcloths,1 bathmat and 1 roll of toilet paper was " me no housekeeping ". She was on our floor cleaning all the rooms but ours.... I called the front desk and explained what I needed 3 times and there was no language barrier just an intelligence barrier. He said Erica was not our housekeeper even though I had the card from her. he could bring towels but nothing else?..(btw. He NEVER brought towels). I had to find a bin to throw out my garbage and had no garbage bags other than Walmart bags. Finally I found a sweet housekeeper on our floor who explained the housekeeping manager was off and Erica had cleaned the 4th floor and was scheduled part of our 3rd floor. She checked Erica's schedule and our room was not on it. So the housekeeper who was scheduled the remaining rooms on our floor was not scheduled to clean our room either. She didn't have towels for us either but managed to find some "small" towels as they were out of the bigger bath towels. In addition; the only ice maker was on the first floor; the hallway carpet was gross but it looks like they are slowly replacing it. Our room was clean and the a/c worked great. There was nothing but a sliver of soap wrapped in plastic,no shampoo,no coffeemaker,no hairdryer. The price was comparable to the comfort inn around the corner who does provide these small but welcoming items. I normally tip housekeeping when I leave even though I usually just need towels and trash. Sorry not this time. Housekeeping needs major improvements and front desk folks in general need to be trained on listening and customer service.So in addition to housekeeping issues, the only working ice maker is on the first floor. Parking was horrendous. There was a Jeep festival and management allowed trucks with trailers to park sideways taking up multiple parking spaces leaving us to park either at Walmart approximately 500 ft away or in a closed restaurant parking lot with no lighting. The front desk has your tag ,make model There was no reason for these trailers to take all these spaces. BAD management choice. read more

This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed. We came Friday night and stayed the weekend. I booked it online. Looked like a decent place from the pictures. The front desk receptionist was not friendly when I checked in she's acted like it was an inconvenience to help me , the beds are the worst, no extra blankets when I asked, the air conditioner in our room froze us and then refused to work the next day, and no breakfast even though they said there would be online. The rooms were somewhat clean. We had a suite but there was no sofa bed. I was just not happy at all. The only good thing was they allow pets and we saw some cute dogs! Dirty stained carpet, smells from people cooking, ice machine didnt work but the worst part was that we stayed a week and every morning they would wake us up and bother us saying they needed to check the room or do their weekly cleaning. Stayed last week for 3 nights. First the room they gave me was from someone smoking and had to change rooms; the attendant did not know this. The room had a dehumidifier already trying to get the smoke out. then then tv for almost 3 days did not work. Told the first desk to tell the manager and still nothing, finally not on the 3 day it work, but now the remote did not work for the volume and i was told to press a button the back of the tv; never did find it. Also the trash for 2 days was not pick up and clean towels added to my room. Poor experience. Still no manager feedback. All the staff told me,"She as busy running around". You think for the price of a nice hotel, now that motel 6 is charging higher rooms today, that their service could step up. Worst hotel stay in my life. If I could give it a negative amount of stars I would. My husband and I booked this hotel ahead of time through Hotwire, as we would be in town for a wedding. The stay was so bad that we ended up staying only one of the two nights we booked. Once the wedding ceremony had ended, we headed back to checkout, not wanting to stay in this nightmare of a place one more night. The rooms were clean upon arrival, and that is truly the only positive thing from our experience. The website alleged there was free coffee in the lobby, however during our entire stay there was only an empty coffee maker in the lobby (missing a pot!). Immediately after checking into the hotel (check-in wasn't until 3 and we had to be somewhere at 5!) I rushed into the bathroom to take a shower because I needed to wash my hair and have time for it to dry. Upon going into the bathroom I was horrified to see that there was not any shampoo or body wash! Before this stay, I had never been to a hotel that did not provide these basic necessities. There was a shampoo vending machine downstairs, which only angered me. My husband was kind enough to go to the Walmart behind the hotel to pick up some shampoo. This honestly threw off my whole day even though it was a minuscule thing because we were almost late for our event, and I was left with not enough time to make my hair presentable. When we returned to the hotel from our event, everything really took a turn for the worst. The WiFi was honestly a joke, which was disappointing because I'm a college student and had brought my laptop on this trip in order to get homework assignments submitted. The couple in the room directly above us (on the next floor) got it on so many times during the evening, and very loudly might I add, my husband and I literally thought this was a prank and were disgusted. I have never been in a hotel with walls as thin as these. They were so thin, I heard WHISPERS from the people in the room next to us. The absolute worst part of this trip was the Mr. and Mrs. Crazy couple in the room next to us. They were in and out of their room all night from around 8 pm until 4 am. They slammed doors, and continuously argued extremely loudly, yelling at each other with reckless abandon. Due to their antics, I was unable to get any rest. When we checked out we informed the front desk about this incident and they literally didn't give a flying fuck. Poor staff in my opinion due to this. Once I finally got to sleep, around 4:30 I unbelievably was woken up by the clowns next door yelling several more occasions. I was extremely tired while having to get ready for our friend's wedding the next day, and honestly couldn't wait to checkout out of this hellhole. Another annoying thing: most hotels have an ice machine on every floor, this hotel has only ONE ice machine and it is located all the way in the lobby. The morning we were getting ready for the wedding, my husband and I had to step out to run a few last minute errands. We looked all around our room and noticed there was no "do not disturb" sign to place on the outside of the door. We spoke to the person at the front desk and she basically told us we can't keep the cleaning staff from entering our room. We specifically requested to not have our room cleaned and she informed us, "well I'm sorry but they're going to peek in there and make sure everything is fine." This angered both my husband and myself, and we felt this was a complete invasion of privacy. I have never stayed at a hotel where you cannot opt out of a visit from housekeeping. This policy is complete bullshit. If you want a decent place to stay in Canton, avoid this place like the plague because you will find no solace in this literal seventh circle of hell. read more

By far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Every night you could hear people slamming their doors to go out to smoke. After three nights of hearing the slamming doors I finally went and asked the front desk to ask them to quite down, needless to say it never happened. When we got the room they didn't have shampoo, just a bar of soap. So we had to walk to the Walmart behind the hotel to buy shampoo. After a few days, cockroaches began to appear. After we told the front desk, no measures were taken to prevent any future infestation. We ended up buying bug spray and even then, it was bad. And lastly, the staff had no respect for personal boundaries like being exceptionally flirtatious with my spouse in front of me. I hate to even think how she was when I wasn't around. Too bad I had to give them 1 star. They don't deserve that. read more

I recently reserved and prepaid a room for my brother to stay at the Canton, GA Motel 6 while he was in town visiting and he experienced the worst customer service that I have heard about in recent memory. I am writing on his behalf, as the room was booked and paid for by me and I feel responsible for putting my brother in such an uncomfortable and inexcusable situation. Allen, the front desk clerk, started by asking my brother to "stop huffing and puffing in the lobby" while they waited in line for their turn to check in. He then proceeded to take several phone calls while they continued to wait in line. When they asked for double beds instead of a queen, they were told by Allen that as I booked thru Expedia, that was not possible, which seems an acceptable (if not illogical) answer, however, Allen added the follow up of "don't accept the invitation if you don't want the room, to save the hassle of doing a refund and all that - it's simpler if you just don't check in". What on earth sort of suggestion is that? He's saying that he'd prefer that my brother just not stay there? Just don't check in? Who's "hassle" would the refund have belonged to? The whole experience is ridiculous and unacceptable. As an addendum to this - once they had finally settled in and went to dinner, upon their return, they found two cop cars in the parking lot and the police in the lobby. All in all a horrible ordeal from beginning to end. read more

True definition of "you get what you pay for"! We arrived at 4pm to find our room wasn't ready. We sat in the car for a hour since we had no where else to go. Went back inside and the lady said they've cleaned a bunch of rooms, but not ours (we were the only ones there actually waiting on a room). When we finally got in to our room it stunk horribly and felt very dirty. Thankfully we were just passing through and just had to make it through the night. They also hav weekly tenets so the level of sketchy people is through the roof. I hope I never pass through again, but if I do I will pay a little extra for the Hampton Inn across the street. read more

Horrible place! My room air conditioner didn't work. I called, they said they would send someone up. He never came. I played with the unit until it magically came on. Stayed on all night. Room cooled off around 2 am. Next night, it would not come on at all. They told me they had no other rooms or a fan for me. I have hot flashes......it's horrible even with air conditioning. SO, I went to Walmart to get a fan. I had no tools to put it together. I tried to calm down and go to sleep, but then a fight broke out. I called the desk to have them stop the fight. They didn't answer. I went and knocked on the door and told the people to shut up and called the police because I was afraid someone was going to get hurt. Now, I'm sitting here in my room hoping those idiots don't come kill me since the police left. Oh, and last night as I was trying to go to bed, the idiot maintenance guy who couldn't be bothered to repair my AC was working on the room next door. Eleven o'clock at night. I opened my door and gave him a look and he asked if I wanted him to stop. REALLY??? Oh no, please keep me up all night. I'm exhausted and have to go to work early. I pray I make it through the night. If I weren't so tired, I would leave and find another place to stay. read more

We were in Canton for a funeral - so the trip was not pleasurable to begin with. However, The staff here went above and beyond to accommodate us. Everyone was kind, friendly, and helpful. Could there be more amenities (microwave or fridge, iron, breakfast)? It would have been nice - but we got what we paid for. A clean room to sleep and shower in. I'm giving this 4 stars because for what it is - this location was more than we expected! Thank you all very much for making this trip better for us!!!!! read more

This is quite possibly, the worst room I've ever stayed in. Been driving for 11 hours and finally get checked in and my room smells like a wet, moldy dog. The AC unit barely works and when it comes on it sounds like something from the 1960s. We have arrived to the hotel and it is already a hot summer afternoon. The hotel lobby didn't feel any different as they had no AC running through the hotel lobby. So I go to check in and they tell me that I have to wait for them to clean my room, which I thought was odd because the hotel looked empty. So I told them I had no problem waiting a few minutes while they clean my hotel room. I took a seat in the lobby to eat my lunch but before i ate, I wanted to wash my hands. I couldn't find the restroom anywhere. So I went to the front desk to ask for a restroom and somehow they don't have a bathroom where i could wash my hands. To make things worse, it took them a little more than an hour to clean my room which only had one bed and of course one bathroom. I was already upset from waiting so long in the scorching hot lobby to only find out that every single time i open my door i have to use a lot of force just to open it because the door gets caught in the carpet. I also later had to find out then i had to go to Walmart to purchase a bottle of shampoo and conditioner because the hotel does not provide these hygienic essentials that you need. I took a shower and it was really uncomfortable because the tub was small so I didn't have any space to move. Also the water was unpleasant because of the extreme pressure of the water. After the shower I went to sleep on a bed that didn't feel comfortable to be honest. That was my awful one night stay. read more
