We booked a one night stay, one queen bed room non smoking. When we arrived they had none left and gave us two full size beds - when we asked if they were two queen beds, the worker most definitely misled us and said yes - we questioned it and he again said two queen beds. The room is simply not remotely worth over $60 a night. The dead bolt doesn't work, it's outdated, mirrors have stickers stuck on them, there's mold in the bathroom, the toilet is absolutely disgusting and in need of replacement, there bodily fluids on the wall. There was a used towel hanging up not removed from the bathroom... so gross. Clearly not well cleaned. This place is probably a health violation. Worst mistake ever. Spare yourself. If we were here for more than a night - we'd be leaving. read more

I was too exhausted to drive home at midnight so I stayed here one night. Wifi was good, room was clean and the TV channels were good. No, it's no 5 star resort, but I just needed a cheap place to crash and it was fine. Parking was pretty close to the room so no long walk. I stayed here in a Hurry as an Emergency had arisen and I was Honestly just Absolutely Exhausted and couldn't stay awake for 1 more Mile. Upon checking in, I was informed that they required an Additional $50. Deposit for Essentials that would be Refunded Immediately upon Check Out. The Room had already been prepaid by a Dear Friend knowing that I was In Distress, They took care of the Reservation and Cost for me. I Argued that there would be No Essentials at a Motel 6 and I was just there to Shower, Sleep and Leave. I thought it rather unnecessary to charge my card $50. For Obviously No Reason. I Immediately got the ill feeling that I was going to have to Fight for my Refund to the point of giving up. In Retrospect, I was Clearly Correct. It has now been Over 9 Weeks, (Over 2 Months), and Still I have not been Refunded my $50. Deposit. I assure you that all that I did was take a Shower and Dress Right Away into Clean Clothing with my Coat on because the Air Circulation was Freezing Cold and would not turn off and The undercover were Awful so I Stayed On Top of The Sheet. Stayed here for 6 months straight because they were cheap and we were working out here. A few weeks after staying here I developed Itchy bumps on my arms. They would come and go but the itching was intense. After a few months of not being able to figure out what it was I developed a painful itchy rash on my knee. After numerous doctors and dermatologists I was diagnosed with SCABIES. Microscopic bugs that burrow into your skin. NASTY. I'm not a dirty person my home is clean unfortunately this hotel was NOT. I was giving medication and left that hotel and guess what?? No more itchy bumps and the rash on my knee is gone. The last night there I ripped up my blanket and found fly like bugs in my bed and hair. Also 3 other coworkers were diagnosed with scabies. They don't change the sheets. EVER. There were cigarette burn holes in the blankets and even found a crack pipe and crack in the air conditioner. Stay here if you want to sleep with bugs and get scabies. Our Motel 6 stay on Hazard in Enfield, CT was surprisingly pleasant and above our expectations. I had alway avoided the less expensive motels, thinking they may lack cleanliness. I am aware they lack amenities--because they are charging a third of what other hotels charge. But for the one night we needed to stay in a motel 2 miles from our home (we were having spray foam insulation installed), I figured it was a good time to chance it. My friend Tammy, who cleans at this motel, assured me there would be no bedbugs, and that it was a good deal. I believed her. And, she was right. Our greeting from "Bill" who I coerced into revealing his real name, Bhaven, very cordial and helpful. The bed was acceptable, and the room was quiet, on the interior area, even with being on a busy street. If there would be any complaint, it was the missing toiletries. But, hey, for $60, we can bring our own shampoo, and will know that for another time. They and complimentary Internet, which was very pleasant, and it worked better than Internet connections at many of our more expensive hotels. And, lastly, the OWNER emailed me to thank me for my review. He really was very appreciative. Thanks to the staff, front the desk to the cleaning staff, and to the owner. read more

Location is great. Next to a ton of places to eat & shop. It doesn't look as sketchy as other motels so that's a plus. Went to the office and asked to see a room before I booked and they showed me the one I booked. Extremely small rooms I've never stayed in a room so small. Bathtub needed some bleach. No toiletries not even hand soap so be sure to bring your own. There were towels and cups. Went to eat, came back and found sugar ants by the small fridge. I have a minor any problem in my own home so you can say I don't like ants, none. I was already uncomfortable but we were staying for one night if it was any more I would've left and paid $50 more at Hampton inn. read more

I want to start this by saying I know that its a Motel 6 and not a 5 star hotel, and I did only pay $68.00 thanks to the travel website I used to book. (Booking.com) I realize that there isn't going to be all the extras. My front desk agent was very friendly. I had booked a two bed room weeks in advance because I knew I was going on a road trip and needed a place to stay for the night, and I was with my dad. I printed out my confirmation email just to be sure there wouldn't be any issues on the room, or the rate upon check in. So when I got to the motel ; after the check in time, but early in the afternoon, the agent tells me they may not have any two bed rooms available. So while she was reviewing her computer, I asked her how is that possible because I reserved the room weeks ago and I have a confirmation for that type of room. She told me that even though I reserved that type of room and I have a confirmation, if someone after that makes a reservation for a specific room number, that reservation supersedes the room type reservation even if that 1st reservation was made well in advance. I told her that makes no sense because why wouldn't the system understand that certain types of rooms may be booked and booking by that room number isn't available. She told me that's just the way it was. Fortunately, one 2 full beds room was available. So my dad and I walk to our room ( located in a pet friendly motel) and there is dog poo right outside our room. Granted, the dog owners should have been responsible and cleaned up but I have a dog and know what old dog poo looks like, and it looked like it had been there for a day or two. At that point, I feel like its then the responsibility to the motel maint crew to clean it up. The room was ok, very small but clean. The only issue I had with the room is the shower. There were gaping holes around the shower head and handle. My dad didn't care so he showered in there but since we were only there for a night, I didn't shower because I had fear of hidden cameras or some crazy thoughts like that. You definitely get what you pay for and not a whole lot more, but that's okay, that's what Motel 6's are for. Under $50 got me a king-size bed, decent-sized bathroom and vanity area, a meh TV, and free wi-fi, and all of that was fine with me. The room was clean and well maintained. It also meant we only had a 10-minute drive to Six Flags New England, which was the reason for the trip. Both rooms that my group booked were as expected, nothing to complain too much about (the mattress was generally comfortable but the pillows left a lot to be desired). The two different front desk people I interacted with were very friendly and quick to check us in and check us out. Note: Bring shampoo and any other standard hotel toiletries that you may use, the only thing provided are a couple of bars of soap. And no hairdryer is provided either, should you use one. read more

I travel a bunch, and always look for the low budget option, so typically I know what I am getting myself into. I'm not expecting anything spectacular. You get what you pay for, I get it. However, this was quite simply the worst motel experience I have ever had. To begin, they managed to screw up an electronic 3 room reservation. Mistakes happen, and I wouldnt hold that against them. What annoyed me was their lack of motivation to remedy the situation. The desk girl could not be less interested that we had an 80 something year old on oxygen in a smoking room. Even of you can't fix it, show some empathy. Moving on, as we were going to a graduation, we had some clothes to iron. Get to the room, none to be found. Maybe its me, but I feel like this is a pretty standard accessory. So we call down to the front desk, and they say they have one, and we are welcome to come get it. Thanks. So we get it, and go to bed. Wake up to the phone ringing at 6:30 am...confused, as I had not asked for a wake up call..nope, it was the front desk calling to see if we were done with the iron yet. Many four letter words ensued. Once we did use the iron, it didn't hold water, and it was one of those mini boards. After I tool a shower and dried off with a towel sized piece of sandpaper, it was time to go. I give this establishment one star, simply because I have to. Not only was the service awful, but the place itself almost matched. Very disappointed, I would recommend sleeping in the parking lot in hopes of not dealing with the front desk wench. read more

I stayed at the Enfield Motel 6 last week. The staff was nice enough, with the exception of one woman who checked me in my first day. When I got there, I asked if there were any kind of corporate employee discounts available. She said they did not have discounts at that location, and that the posted price was the lowest they could go. That being said, I stepped to the side and double checked my employer's benefit page, and checked in with a small discount. Strike one. When I got to my room, it was... disappointing. There was a small hole in one of the walls, it had been hastily swept (leaving dirt around the bed and under the desk) and there was something in the toilet. I don't know if it came from a person or not, but needless to say it was flushed immediately. Strike 2. I let this slide, as I was only using the room as a place to sleep for a couple nights. However, my last morning there, I went to get some coffee in the morning at the nearby Starbucks. While I was there, my phone made a remote connection to my laptop via an app I used. My laptop which was closed and in sleep mode. Someone had opened my laptop lid, waking it up and reconnecting it to the wifi, and therefore to my phone. I went straight back to my room, and housekeeping was in there. I made a point of sitting at my laptop and using until she left. After that I packed my stuff. It was my last day there. Strike 3. I realize this location is a franchise, but this shines poorly on Motel 6 as a whole. Never again. Most of the front counter was nice, however, hence the second star. read more

Ok. I know staying at a lower budget Motel 6 there will NOT be perfection of any kind. But there are some things I would expect out of any motel. For instance, the security door latch, the screws were just about out of the door. The desk had a few unknown goopy spots on it. The toilet took a minimum of 2 flushes to get simple urine down. The bathroom faucet was hard as nails to pull up on and the knob is super loose. The tub needed a good cleaning. However, I will say the floor was cleaned decently and the front desk staff was very nice. There was 2 wrapped bars of soap, which was cool. There was no hair dryer (which for me is not an issue) and there was no shampoo but I also didn't expect that anyway. I booked online and I did request a ground floor room because my foot is recovering from surgery but I ended up with a 2nd floor room. read more

NO ! DO NOT STAY HERE ! We get room 132 and it stinks to high heaven, so my daughter and i spray a crap load of deodorizer and go to movies and dinner. We get back and give it a try and we were getting nauseous so we ask for another room and the manager asks if we used the room ( hard to tell what he's saying with his accent ) , I tell him YES we Tried and couldn't do it.( He thinks we said we didn't use it at all). He gives us a room( which also smells , just not as bad ) and then comes back to me minutes later and accuses me of lying to him about using the other room (DOESN'T MATTER the room is disgusting ) , gives me an attitude and leaves. We wake up in the morning to a power failure, so no outlets or lights. I had reserved two nights and tried to cancel ( as per policy ), NO GO on canceling they lie and give you a run around . you MUST call your credit card company . Overall appearance of the building is great from a block away. When you get in close you realize its a dump and the only humane thing to do would be to burn the place to the ground and erect a memorial upon the ashes for all those unfortunate enough to had stayed there. read more

The worst motel ever!!!!!!! I get to my room and find wrinkled sheets, and long black hairs on the pillows, in the toilet and on the floor. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept in a while and although it was a non-smoking room it smelled like an old bar. After spotting all the hair I went to the front desk and was confronted by a rude desk girl who coincidently had long black hair. At any rate, they would not give me my money back to go elsewhere. So I will NEVER stay here again nor would I recommend anyone else stay here!! read more

We spent 2 days there, good location for us as we were visiting family in long meadow, ma. The pictures are better than the reality. It's not the Ritz Carlton, more like the Shitz Carlton. We checked in, went to our room turned a/c on and nothing, checked the plug and it sparked plus the bathroom smelled like pot. They switched us to the room next door. Better but the microwave oven started beeping for no reason. The only way to stop I it was, to unplug it. Also, as someone else mentioned, there were lots of guys standing outside of the rooms, looking like they were waiting to make a drug connection. Very interesting. The bed felt like the springs were coming out of it but happy there were no bed bugs. If we stay in the area, will probably try the red rood inn, it's right next to this. read more

When I came to check in here, the lady at the check in desk tried to refuse me and thought I was under 21 because my license is still vertical, she didn't even look at my birthday. Where can you go wrong with a nice clean room, located near tons of shops, including a mall that you can walk to, for only $50!!! I stayed here last night with my daughter and her friend, and was a little unsure as I have never stayed at a Motel 6, and I was pleasantly suprised. We got two rooms here last minute as I did not want to drive home after a day at 6 Flags in the pouring rain. The front desk were super nice, check in took seconds and both rooms were modern and super clean. One room had a nice size refrigerator, which was a plus to store all our sodas and drinks. A/C worked perfect and had nice hot water in the morning...The location of this motel is beyond excellent, it is within minutes to Six Flags, and the shops and restaurants in the area are all within walking distance. I could have spent a few days here shopping and eating out. From the motel you can walk to a nice mall and movie theater, as well as a Chipolte, Starbucks, Subway, Olive Garden Red Robin, (where we ate), and the list goes on and on....We lucked out finding this place as we got two rooms for the price of one anywhere else and a location better than any other in the area. read more

A totally disgusting motel never again, at check in after charging for room, they had to send someone to the room to check and see if it was clean, It was not so needed another room. the room was small and cramped the TV was 25 years old and discolored, the room had one wash cloth and one towel for two people checked in asked for more , never got , the place is literally falling apart , even the outlets you couldn't use because our phone charger cords kept falling out due to the outlets being worn out and unable to keep the prongs in. Even what we saw of the rooms being " renovated " were cheap looking, I lived in Enfield all my life until about 10 years ago and new this motel back then It was a well run ,Clean place to stay but WOW what a difference now, I m not sure who is managing this Motel now but they should be CANNED.I am warning everyone I know to spend the Extra few dollars and go next door to the Red roof Inn or any other place but this Hell hole , I have stayed in Motel Sixes all over the Northeast and this one is definitely AN EEEEKKK and EEEEWWW motel read more

I recently stayed at this Enfield, CT Motel 6. When I first arrived, there was a young woman screaming down from the second floor outside to the parking lot at what looked to potentially be her parents. I alerted the front desk who didn't seem particularly concerned. After unpacking my suitcase I noticed a cockroach walking across the floor. I got a cup and covered him, then put a bar of soap on top so he couldn't get out. I called the front desk and after 10 minutes someone answered. When I told him about the cockroach, he told me to come to the front desk and "maybe" he could put me in another room. Maybe?!! Once moved, I kept my eyes peeled for bugs but didn't see any. I will say both rooms were clean and in good working order, and all the help was courteous. The next morning I asked to speak with a manager and was told to call the next morning which I did, but he was not available then, so I left a message and was told that he'd get back to me that day. No return call was received. The day after that I did catch the manager in and was told that it was not a cockroach but a stink bug, and that stink bugs "are to be expected" at an "exterior" motel. I told him that it wasn't a stink bug but rather a cockroach and I have pictures of it. He insisted it wasn't a cockroach (didn't ask to see the pictures) and would not give me a discount on my stay there nor a credit towards a future stay. No, "I'm sorry for your inconvenience" or anything. I've stayed at Motel 6s before, but the chain will never get another penny out of me. read more

The staff in general was nice except for the general manager, but the biggest problem was getting a different story from each employee about any issue we had. We needed a place to stay for a month n a half until we could move into an apartment, n the 1st 3 weeks seemed ok. I went to pay for another week and this is when it turned into a nightmare. I was told I can't stay past 28 days, which they never told us before n seemed weird but ok...we had been there 25 days n the GM said we couldn't stay because of the 28 day rule. Well we still had a few more days so I went to work on Fri n got a call from my fiance at 11am crying saying the GM just told her she couldn't stay anymore n needed to leave now! He was almost yelling at her saying he's not running a shelter n doesn't need people like us there!....wow really!? Mind u we never had any complaints about us or from us, minded r own business n kept quiet. So now she has to pack all r stuff up n get out of the room ( of this practically empty motel), can't even wait until I can get out of work. I'm not sure if he's used to talking down to women being from another country, but this was extremely rude and unecessary. Then as she is packing another employee came to the room n told her they didn't wanna rent the room to us again because they had a busy week scheduled n wanted an extra room!!!
